26/06/2025: Dinner costs 23 euros per person, varied and very good food. Friendly waiters. The review below, where they say that everything was disgusting, including that the waiters were rude, seems to me like a fake review, why insist so much on saying stupid things?

17/07/2025: Simple straight-forward lovely little cafe with reasonable prices. If you need to hide out while your family shops, this is a great spot!

06/05/2025: The coffee was really good, smooth and fragrant, and the price was very reasonable. The owner was really friendly and gave us thoughtful recommendations on places to visit nearby. The cafe has a nice vibe, with some clothes and jewelry for sale. It’s a cozy and relaxed spot to sit down and enjoy a good cup of coffee.

12/07/2025: The food is reasonably priced. It's always open, which is a plus. The only downside is that the photo menu doesn't match the actual food served. For those unfamiliar with this ethnic food, it can be a challenge. But the flavor is there. The passion fruit mojito is fantastic!

29/07/2025: I disagree with those who gave the food a bad review, as I've always ordered à la carte, and the quality I've found at this restaurant has always been top-notch! The music is delightful during dinner, even if a little too loud, and great for after-dinner entertainment, with lots of fun, especially when Benny Camaro plays and sings, he's top-notch!

E allora, vi scrivo che sono stata bene, che la pizza mi è molto piaciuta, che l’ambiente è semplice ma accogliente e che tutto è ben organizzato. Bravi !

23/08/2025: A place where you feel good and eat well, alone, with family and with good friends

18/08/2025: Unfortunately it has fallen a bit, and I'm very sorry about that because it was a lovely place, where you could eat quality dishes, few things but good ones. Now we had an aperitif for a platter, we waited 1 hour and 10 minutes. The platter consisted of frozen fried foods that, if they had been reheated better, would have been eaten more willingly. The only good thing was the chips. The yellowish mozzarella is sour in one part, a real shame because it was a nice place. I hope they can fix that. And maybe a little more smile and kindness would be appreciated.

08/07/2025: After going there 4-5 times I can say that here you can eat one of the best pizzas in Milan: slightly salty and digestible dough, abundant and tasty fillings. Definitely. I also tried a pasta and a salad, my companion fried fish and cutlet. Pasta rating 7. Fried food rating 6. Salad rating 7. Cutlet rating 8. Very kind and attentive service. Instead of bread they bake Arab bread (a soft schiacciata) with rosemary. A little more hygiene wouldn't hurt.

06/06/2025: We stopped at 11pm and had a cocktail and a glass of wine. I asked for peanuts or chips to go with the wine. Absurd request? Well, they didn't have any. They told me they had big bags of peanuts and chips that they couldn't open at that time. I found it absurd to deny peanuts simply because you don't know how to store them. You just need to organize yourself with suitable containers.

04/06/2025: Waiter working aggressively kicked a bird just chilling on the street not even near customers- better staff training is needed, this behaviour reflects horribly on what the establishment stands for.

Salad and vegetables were one of the saddest dishes I’ve ever seen, and those two sides cost 10 €. the only positive point was the whiskey pour which was generous, aside from that : Disappointing experience, the good rating was misleading.

02/09/2025: What a miserable experience. After browsing through countless menus, my husband and I decided to spend our anniversary dinner at Montesoprano. Though we had never been there before, the food selection sounded good so we were excited to give it a go. Sadly, the dinner was an absolute let down. Firstly, it was exceptionally difficult to get any attention from any serves, and even when we did, we had to ask for things such as water and ice several times before they were actually brought to us. As an appetizer, we shared the eggplant parmigiana which was nothing to rave about but still the best dish of the night. My husband got what was described as a hamburger as a main and I got two different salads, reitterating that I'd like the dressing to be served separately, so I can decide how much I want to add myself. When the mains arrived, we were in for quite a surprise as my husband did not receive a 'hamburger' but simply a burger a.k.a. just a beed patty with some sad looking leaves as a salad on the side. After talking to the staff for 5+ minutes and explaining that there is no way of knowing from the menu, that their idea of a hamburger is just a patty, they agreed to add two buns and some cheese to the patty to make it an actual hamburger. Both of my salads arrived drowned in oil and dressing, regardless of my simple request. Thay took one of them back and redid it, but I kept the other one. I could've overlooked this, but after I biy in to an actual rock in my salad, I was pretty much done with the food. At that point I was just happy I didn't break a tooth. We showed the staff the rock (photo attached) to which they gave a simple 'sorry' and asked if they could bring us some digestives as an apology. That was a rather sad apology, considering all tables received a digestive after their meal. I refused their 'kind' offer and decided to end the miserable experinece with a glass of wine. I ordered their house white (4€ per glass). Once we received the check however, my glass of wine had magically turned into a 9€ glass. After asking about it, they said that it wasn't the house wine that they brought me although that is what I ordered. After another few minutes of arguing they oh-so-kindly charged us the 4€ for the wine saying they'll take care of the rest. Call me crazy, but since it was their mistake, I would kind of expect that. All in all, the decor of the restaurant was nice but that's pretty much where the positives end. Will not be returing and wouldn't recommend snyone else to either. There are soooo many better restaurants with a much better price point and quality in Milan so just skip this one.

Montesoprano specializes in meat-based dishes. Excellent wine selection. Welcoming, attentive, and cheerful service. 27/08/2025: The food is good, but over the phone they told me I could pay with digital restaurant vouchers. When I got the bill, they told me they only accepted physical cards. Better be careful.

05/08/2025: An experience not to be repeated. The pizza ingredients were missing, and the drinks and beers we'd ordered weren't available, so we had to change our order. With two two-year-olds, there was only one high chair available. The service was questionable, and the price was way too high for what you get—you'll leave hungry. The place is also nice and clean, but I definitely wouldn't recommend it.

07/07/2025: We stopped by while leaving the Navigli after dinner. We loved its icecream and highly suggest you to try. It costs from 3 to 5 euros according to its size. It is not expensive.

28/08/2025: Excellent experience at Gatto Rosso, right in the heart of the Vittorio Emanuele II Galleries. 10/10 hospitality – greeted with a smile, quick and attentive service, and absolutely delicious food: authentic pizza and fresh pasta, cooked to perfection. Fair prices for the premium location and elegant atmosphere. Highly recommend!
