01/03/2026: A lovely find in Mantua! The staff were incredibly friendly, and the gelato flavors were delicious. The special with salted chamomile and white chocolate chips was out of this world! Highly recommended.

22/02/2026: Artisanal gelato just minutes from Mantua's city center. The cone, covered in melted chocolate, is superb and has a delicious flavor. Definitely worth a try.

01/08/2026: I wish I could have given more stars...but unfortunately there aren't any. The lady was so kind! We ate wonderfully...braised beef with polenta, tortellini in broth...etc. and to finish, a delicious tiramisu.

28/06/2026: I ate very poorly... both tortelli with pumpkin, which tasted like leftover pasta... pike with polenta... Fish crumbles with an abundance of parsley (you could say that was all there was) with polenta reheated in the microwave... very poorly eaten... The waitress was very rushed, the room wasn't full... there were only four tables... I ate à la carte... very disappointed.

25/11/2025: Everything was very nice, the atmosphere was elegant, and the music was well chosen. I really enjoyed the food, except for the dessert. But it's definitely a place worth trying. Highly recommended, we'll be back!

21/11/2025: A very charming and intimate place, the welcome and service were friendly and impeccable. Each dish was an experience of well-combined flavors and attention to detail. And let's be clear, this is the word of a meat lover who, to find a restaurant suited to his partner's diet, drives an hour and leaves almost more eager to return than she does. Everything was delicious. Special mention for the bread; I could have eaten 10 kilos of it. Which speaks volumes about the care these guys put into every aspect. We will absolutely be back. Highly recommended.

If you're looking for a quiet spot away from traffic, Ristorante Gastaldo in Sorbara (in the province of Mantua) is a true gem. The restaurant is located in a recently renovated building that retains a unique historical charm: the building was originally the stables of Count Tosio (built during the Venetian Republic) and was then entrusted to a trusted person, the Gastaldo, from whom it takes its name. Ambience and Structure: The interior is truly beautiful and welcoming, with exposed wooden beams, brick, and spacious interiors divided into courtyards that evoke the warm and authentic atmosphere of a farmhouse. Ample parking is available outside. Menu and Specials: The selection is varied and balanced, with approximately six classic first courses and six classic second courses, as well as rich appetizers and desserts. The tasting menu (€35) is very interesting, including two first courses, two second courses, dessert, water, and coffee. In the evening, they also open a dining room set up as a true Osteria, serving traditional dishes such as pike in sauce with polenta and sautéed snails. Our Experience: We ordered: House appetizer: with cured meats and delicious polenta crostini garnished in various ways. Tortelli di erbette amaretti: with expertly rolled pastry and a well-balanced filling. Fassona sliced ​​steak: perfectly cooked, incredibly tender, and of excellent quality. All washed down with a bottle of Lambrusco and finished with two excellent coffees. Final Verdict: Excellent quality food and a truly unbeatable value. Attentive service and a delightful atmosphere. We were extremely satisfied and will definitely be back! Highly recommended.

16/08/2026: I had dinner here with my mother. The food was delicious and the staff were very friendly. We're vegetarians, so there were plenty of options. We ordered various types of naan, aloo paratha, paneer butter masala, and dhal makhani. It was all delicious. At the end of the meal, they offered us some traditional desserts, which was very kind. We sat outside, and the waiter insisted on putting two fans facing us so we wouldn't feel the heat. We really appreciated it, even though it was already quite nice outside. The owner asked us for feedback at the end of the meal; you can tell they really care about their customers. I'd love to come back.

16/08/2026: Honestly, one of the best Indian food experiences I’ve had in Italy so far — and probably one of the best in Europe. I’m not exaggerating when I say that today I finally understood what really good Indian food tastes like. Every single dish we tried was delicious, full of flavour and beautifully prepared. My guests were genuinely amazed. They kept talking about the food and couldn’t believe Indian cuisine could be this good. We all left extremely happy and already talking about coming back. You’ve honestly made Indian cuisine one of our favourite cuisines. We will definitely be back not just once, but again and again! 01/07/2026: We've known this place for over ten years. Calling it a place, however, is a misnomer. You don't enter a place, a conventional restaurant; you enter a magical place, a fairytale. Andrea and Ada, two excellent hosts, welcome you. To call them kind is an understatement. The rooms are very welcoming and warm; all rooms are beautiful and furnished with unique pieces. The one with the fireplace is particularly special. It's my favorite. The furnishings create a unique, evocative atmosphere. Everywhere, on the floors and walls, are antiques. Paintings, historical relics, antique furniture, old-fashioned farming tools, Sicilian puppets, records, and a jukebox that Andrea turns on upon request, creating excellent background music. In the kitchen, the chef is Andrea's sister. The cuisine is typical of the area, with excellent cured meats, especially the cooked shoulder, and delicious giardiniera and gnocco fritto! I've never had gnocco this good anywhere else. Not greasy, fragrant, and light! The tortelli are truly special. Not to mention—in the fall—the fried pumpkin, presented in thin leaves with balsamic vinegar. Words fail me... Andrea is a truly hospitable and generous host, enchanting, charming, and pampering. He puts you at ease, aided by the relaxing, serene, fairytale atmosphere of the place. In the summer, you can also enjoy the outdoor setting. When you want to spend time with family, among friends, to live a dream, to be catapulted into another dimension, into an enchanted world, enveloped in magic, then this is the enchanted place we highly recommend. 17/05/2026: Excellent restaurant serving high-quality fish and meat dishes. Ingredients are expertly paired to highlight the main ingredient. Excellent appetizers include zucchini flowers with crabmeat, sea bass ravioli, local classic pumpkin tortelli, and duck breast in strawberry grape sauce. Everything is expertly prepared and made with top-quality ingredients. The wine list is also top-notch. Prices are in line with the quality of the food offered. First courses range from €14 to €22, and second courses from €18 to €30. The side dish of baked mixed vegetables is also excellent. Worth the visit for this dish alone.

03/05/2026: A very charming location and setting, overlooking the bridge over the Mincio (a place steeped in Risorgimento reminiscences). Very attentive service, a welcoming atmosphere. The traditional dishes are excellent (I chose a menu featuring only snails, highly recommended). The game dishes are also noteworthy. Fully accessible, with convenient parking nearby. I also recommend the very charming option of beginning or ending the experience with a lovely stroll in the green area on the banks of the Mincio, accessible right from the restaurant. Highly recommended.

30/05/2026: Last night was a lovely evening with the FIGC Referees Section of Mantua. We had lunch in the courtyard. The facility is beautiful, complemented by a garden with a swimming pool. The evening's dishes were classic Mantuan dishes. They were delicious, and we even had several encores.
