11/03/2026: Good food, relatively simple—in keeping with the concept of an osteria, so it's fair enough—and also quite traditional. I personally can't say I had a bad meal, but my colleague wasn't as pleased. The wine selection was good, and the cured meats and cheeses also seemed interesting, but we didn't try them (we opted for two courses plus dessert, so we sampled several dishes). The service was courteous and pleasant. Given the location's historic character, we might have expected a more satisfying menu and a more aesthetically pleasing ambience, without losing the rustic feel of an osteria. The price was a bit high (but not by much, anyway) for what we ate and the ambience.

01/12/2025: Very good, I was walking through the streets of Mantua and suddenly I was enveloped by the aroma of pizza that I hadn't smelled in a long time. This aroma convinced me to go in and find myself in front of some wonderful pizza trays. I couldn't resist, I would have eaten them all but there were too many. However, the ones we tasted were delicious, the dough was very soft, you could tell it had been made by a real pizza chef, not to mention the various special toppings. Compliments to the pizza chef who, in addition to his skill, is very friendly and kind. If you pass through Mantua, stop and try these delicious pizzas, you won't regret it.

15/02/2026: We stopped for lunch, unfamiliar with the place. I'll start by saying that the place was crowded, and the staff was very busy. Unfortunately, the service was truly embarrassing: we waited twenty minutes to order, another twenty for bread, and the water arrived even later. After more than 50 minutes, the appetizer arrived, and only after an hour and a half did the main course arrive. It's understandable that there were so many people, but at least there was a gesture, an explanation, but nothing. Not even when it came to the bill: silence. Not even the ritual "is everything okay?" I can imagine the girl's embarrassment, but it's not pleasant. The food is good, the prices are a bit above average but acceptable, except for drinks, which are €5. Avoid if you see more than half the tables occupied.

14/03/2026: Yesterday, while looking for a pizzeria in Mantua, I went to "Croce Bianca". A welcoming place with a cheerful atmosphere and wonderful, high-quality pizza. I especially ordered the Saporita Extra. The staff was kind and very attentive to service, making me feel very comfortable. I recommend this place to everyone. ☺️👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

13/03/2026: A pleasant experience at this osteria. The food was very good, with generous portions and a warm welcome from the staff. The place is very nice, but the only downside is that the dining room is small and a bit noisy.

14/02/2026: We went for dinner, with a reservation, and the food was truly delicious, authentic, and prepared with love! The owner is very friendly, quick, and kind! She offered us a platter of homemade crostoli at the end of the dinner! I tried the exquisitely well-cooked cold cuts and meat, while my better half ordered the agnolitti in brodo, just like his grandmother used to make them! Highly recommended!

11/02/2026: I've eaten at Diego's a few times and I have to say it's one of the best places in the area. The highest quality, fresh ingredients are cooked to perfection. The location is beautiful, and the service is excellent. Mushrooms and truffles are a specialty, and for those who enjoy them, the restaurant also offers excellent wine pairings from both Italy and abroad, with unique and never boring labels. I must say that the quality/price ratio is also truly excellent.

01/03/2026: A lovely find in Mantua! The staff were incredibly friendly, and the gelato flavors were delicious. The special with salted chamomile and white chocolate chips was out of this world! Highly recommended.

22/02/2026: Artisanal gelato just minutes from Mantua's city center. The cone, covered in melted chocolate, is superb and has a delicious flavor. Definitely worth a try.

13/01/2026: Excellent business lunch just outside Goito. Abundant, tasty, and well-cooked dishes, very friendly and attentive waitress(es), excellent wine and coffee with a chocolate. Very fair price for what you get. Well done!!

19/02/2026: We were welcomed into a small room with a wood-burning fireplace, along with another table. The menu is rich in local flavors, tasty and varied, and includes a fixed tasting menu. In the summer, you can eat outside and sometimes listen to live music. Andrea, the owner, is available to customize special menus for groups upon request. It's located in the quiet Mantua countryside. A must-visit after visiting nearby Sabbioneta.
