A very good restaurant in Mantua. The dishes, very well prepared, are based on local recipes and products. The service is excellent.

A fantastic experience in the heart of Mantua. The attention to detail is immediately apparent, starting with the elegant hand-crafted glassware on the table. Each course was a pleasant surprise. The quality of the ingredients is excellent, and the presentation is truly refined, with expertly crafted pops of color in every dish. We will definitely be back to try other dishes.

Excellent food, prepared in keeping with tradition but with innovative twists. I had the pappardelle with duck sauce, which was so delicious I was moved. The staff was young, polite, kind, and knowledgeable.

We stopped for lunch. A refined restaurant, a welcoming atmosphere, and attentive service. Filippo, besides having a wonderful name, was very courteous and attentive, even though we arrived almost 2:00 PM. The dishes are seemingly simple, but they reveal a meticulous attention to flavor and ingredients: clean flavors, quality ingredients, and balanced pairings. Each course is carefully presented and leaves the impression of artisanal work behind the scenes. Excellent wine selection and very good value. Highly recommended.

Super cute and chic restaurant, very kind and friendly staff, excellent food. We were there for our wedding anniversary and the guys really pampered us! Highly recommended ;-)

Trattoria Castello

10/07/2026: Definitely one of my favorite places. It has an endless selection of dishes, and most importantly, options that are practically unique to this place. The portions, especially the Mantovani rice dishes, are enormous, and the place is very charming and quaint. Plus, you're unlikely to find anything you don't like, no matter what your dietary preferences, making this place perfect for large dinners. I highly recommend it. For me, it's a must-visit every two months at most, even though it's 40 minutes from where I live.
10/07/2026: The management has probably changed and, unfortunately, it no longer lives up to expectations.
