27/12/2025: The meat was truly excellent quality. Perfectly cooked. The tartare was also excellent. It's a shame the potatoes were the worst I've ever eaten (they tasted like defrosted ones, unseasoned, and undercooked). I hope they improve them because it takes nothing to make beautiful baked potatoes: a must with such delicious meat!! The quality of the bread served at the table could also be improved: almost certainly supermarket loaves, defrosted and cooked. What a shame.
23/12/2025: The meat was excellent, and the portions were anything but paltry. A few things could be improved on the service, but it's a minor issue. Overall, it was a very positive experience.

07/02/2026: This historic restaurant isn't particularly striking for its slightly retro decor, but for its delicious cuisine and meticulously prepared dishes. Excellent service, kudos to you. Fast service. Recommended.
02/02/2026: I'm revising my previous review. This is a historic Mantua restaurant. Traditional dishes, but sometimes, in the kitchen, they lose their composure. On the last occasion, for example, we were served a first course that, to call al dente, was simply too much. What's disappointing is not seeing a smile. In other words, there's a lack of "friendliness," and that's a shame: perhaps the customer would appreciate it.

17/01/2026: Stopped by randomly and was welcomed so warmly. I asked for tortelli alla zucca (pumpkin ravioli) absolutely loved them and drank 2 glasses of Lambrusco and a coffee. Great prices and the ladies were so welcoming.
30/12/2025: A truly unique place! Local clientele, no tourists. Excellent homemade ravioli amari and "sbrisolina"! A truly authentic atmosphere. You'll be captivated!

15/02/2026: A welcoming and authentic restaurant right in the city center, just steps from Piazza Sordello!
Daniele, the owner, shares his passion for Mantua's culinary and winemaking traditions with tasty, hearty dishes and local wines. We had one of his delicious platters as an appetizer, followed by pumpkin tortelli and donkey stew. To finish, we ordered the classic sbrisolona with zabaglione cream. Since we were the last ones in, we had a pleasant chat with Daniele, who kindly offered us a taste of the traditional cream with chocolate cream and zabaglione!
An excellent wine rounded out our experience.
All at a fair price!
We'll definitely be back to try Daniele's risotto alla pilota (reservations required).
14/02/2026: The place is very small, with limited seating. However, the food is very good. We stopped for lunch and sampled some of the traditional dishes. They were delicious, and the portions were generous. The staff was extremely courteous, professional, and quick with their service.

26/06/2025: Agriturismo perfetto per un pranzo/cena in famiglia o con amici per chi ama la cucina mantovana! Posto immerso nel verde, cibo buonissimo e ottima qualità prezzo. Un gran plus è anche la birra prodotta artigianalmente in agriturismo. Hanno anche qualche camera da B&B per cui lo consiglierei anche per un weekend di relax!

05/01/2026: Excellent evening! The atmosphere is welcoming and spacious. It wasn't the first time, and it's always top-notch. This trattoria is located in the center of Castel d'Ario, with plenty of seating and a large parking lot. Reservations are always recommended, given the high attendance. I'd say the food is excellent, and the service is excellent, given the speed with which the dishes arrived.
I noticed they also offer a lunchtime business menu, which I've personally never tried, but I think it could be very good.
I can only recommend it to those passing through and those who live in the surrounding provinces.

08/01/2026: Nestled in the famous Galleria leading to the Gonzaga garden, this wonderful Osteria is welcoming and comfortable.
All dishes were cooked to order and uniformly excellent, as well a generously portioned. The attentive waiter took great care of the entire restaurant.
The salumi misti, served with freshly baked dough pockets, were superb. We also liked to pike in green sauce on a bed of earthy polenta and the tasty duck sauce of our pasta dish.
Wines by the glass were good quality and price.
When visiting Sabbioneta, this is definitely the restaurant to seek out.

26/10/2025: Delicious gelato! They have unique flavors, excellent! The zabaglione in some of them is truly delicious, as is the wafer itself. Angela, the very kind owner, spent a few minutes talking with us, telling us the history of the gelato shop.
There's an indoor dining area where you can enjoy your gelato.
