05/04/2024: My wife and I came to use a wonderbox that was about to expire, fortunately the owner accepted the voucher even though she was no longer included in the wonderbox program. We ate a platter of really excellent cold cuts with fantastic onions, the wine in the glass was very good Lambrusco, then we had two risottos alla pilota and... Fantastic! I was curious to try real pilot rice, coming from the typical creamed risotto of Verona, and I was surprised at how good it was. Finally we had two really good desserts (outside the wonderbox): Belgian chocolate pudding and Elvezia cake. Both amazing, we split them up to taste them and so we finished on a high note. As you have understood, the experience was more than positive, if we pass through Mantua again we will certainly return, because the rest of the menu was very interesting and the rustic and hospitable environment was very welcoming. I highly recommend everyone to go there if you are passing through, we will certainly be back.

02/04/2024: Unfortunately, the waitress didn't feel like serving us 1 hour before closing time, even though tables were free and other people were still at Primi Piatti. We were immediately given a business card from another restaurant, even though we were really looking forward to visiting the restaurant. Very unfortunate. Ps: Restaurant of the business card was closed

25/01/2024: Very nice place, a comfortable atmosphere, all very well looked after, elegant but modern. Very friendly and professional bartenders. We had a good time having a drink with friends, honest price and clean bathroom. The appetizers, the pizza and the wholemeal brioche are also delicious; to drink I had a nice and good Hugo. You can find very nice and refined pastries and cakes at the counter, I will go back again! I highly recommend

01/05/2024: A real leap in time. A trattoria that invites you to go back in time, when carts passed over the bridge over the Oglio and the drivers stopped here for a break.... Now the bridge is closed because it is unstable and cordoned off, but the Trattoria is always open, clean, bright, with the tables tidy as in the past... Very kind service, traditional Mantuan dishes, perfectly made, endless wine list, tasty and inviting desserts.... Here I tasted grilled catfish for the first time: exceptional... Come calmly and for a moment you will feel like you are traveling in a world different from the metropolitan frenzy...

20/03/2024: THE TRADITION OF GOOD CUISINE CONTINUES: it was no longer in the past after Vania took over....I had good memories and I feared change; I was happy with it: except for some dishes, the others are traditional and intelligently revisited: use of spices, which is rare, very delicate in complementary flavors to enhance the raw material of the dish. Only note... eliminate the Lambrusco at €10, not because it's low priced (well done) but because the blend of grapes just isn't right, at the same price you can find peasant Viadanese (like Corte Frati or Reggiani like Settecani) which is more full-bodied and balanced without cost increases. However, congratulations to the two chefs who were able to adapt well to tradition without distorting it.

03/02/2024: What can I say...a beautiful family run business, excellent hospitality, friendly and kind staff, the owner is a nice guy, clean environment, I could have eaten the world so spoiled for choice, and above all delicious food!!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND GOING THERE.

01/04/2024: A slightly run-down tavern. In my opinion, the cuisine is not up to the expected quality. The garnishes with tuna were a little salty, with a stringy tuna that didn't mix well with the rest of the sauce. The fettuccine with chicken ragù was equally savory. In the appetizer, poached egg with asparagus cream, the ingredients were paired without great skill. Dish to forget. The beef was accompanied by completely burnt roast potatoes. Prices normal. Quick and courteous service.

12/05/2024: We arrived for lunch by E-Bike after an excursion that lasted all morning... simple location but with a wonderful view. Simple but very attentive service with a lot of attention to the customer and very good food. We took a platter of cold cuts and I must say high quality, first of all the tortelli were fabulous. Very good home-produced oil and very good home-produced wine too. Advise!

05/03/2024: When an innkeeper knows what he is doing there is little to say. And Beppe is a master at this. Then add the various special cocktails/aperitifs, rivers of beer with pump pouring, and some stratospheric burgers and yes voooooolaaaaaa

28/02/2024: Unique place in Castiglione where you can have a chat, drink excellent draft beer and listen to excellent jazz music in the background and then if Beppe's crazy guy picks up the accordion everything is even more magical...

06/02/2024: Number 1 ice cream shop in Castiglione. It offers an interesting selection of flavours, without exaggerating with variety but still including some gems (for example the delicious white crock). I would also like to point out that the ice creams are closed in metal containers which do not allow you to see their appearance, but certainly preserve their qualities for a long time. Ice cream aside, the best in my opinion are the semifreddos, tasty but always delicate. I have ordered them for graduation and birthday parties and have always been very satisfied. The only critical point is the place, which is very welcoming in its smallness, but which forces you to consume the delicious ice cream on a sidewalk.

19/11/2023: Excellent artisanal ice cream shop in the center of Castiglione delle Stiviere. Very honest prices and a good variety of flavours, both classic and particular.

03/04/2024: Fixed menu lunch €13. Top quality/price ratio… generous and very good portions. As soon as the bread runs out they are ready to bring you another full basket, what can I say... top service, always kind and friendly. I highly recommend, one of the best in the area. Ample parking in front of the restaurant.
