01/07/2026: We've known this place for over ten years. Calling it a place, however, is a misnomer. You don't enter a place, a conventional restaurant; you enter a magical place, a fairytale. Andrea and Ada, two excellent hosts, welcome you. To call them kind is an understatement. The rooms are very welcoming and warm; all rooms are beautiful and furnished with unique pieces. The one with the fireplace is particularly special. It's my favorite. The furnishings create a unique, evocative atmosphere. Everywhere, on the floors and walls, are antiques. Paintings, historical relics, antique furniture, old-fashioned farming tools, Sicilian puppets, records, and a jukebox that Andrea turns on upon request, creating excellent background music. In the kitchen, the chef is Andrea's sister. The cuisine is typical of the area, with excellent cured meats, especially the cooked shoulder, and delicious giardiniera and gnocco fritto! I've never had gnocco this good anywhere else. Not greasy, fragrant, and light! The tortelli are truly special. Not to mention—in the fall—the fried pumpkin, presented in thin leaves with balsamic vinegar. Words fail me... Andrea is a truly hospitable and generous host, enchanting, charming, and pampering. He puts you at ease, aided by the relaxing, serene, fairytale atmosphere of the place. In the summer, you can also enjoy the outdoor setting. When you want to spend time with family, among friends, to live a dream, to be catapulted into another dimension, into an enchanted world, enveloped in magic, then this is the enchanted place we highly recommend. 23/12/2025: Every time I visit Sabbioneta, I can't help but stop in. The quality of the food is consistently high, and the desserts are especially delicious. The relaxed atmosphere makes every meal a moment to be fully enjoyed. A must-see!

23/12/2025: An unforgettable experience! The menu offers traditional dishes with an innovative twist. My favorite dish was the pumpkin and gorgonzola risotto; every bite was bursting with flavor. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the service is impeccable, with staff always smiling and helpful. Definitely worth a try!

06/07/2026: Probably the best seafood pasta I've had in Rome. Fresh and flavoursome. Unpretentious, quiet and relaxing. Plenty of locals who know about the food and service. An excellent wine list by the bottle and glass - part of the experience, not just a beverage.

03/06/2026: I know this will sound ridiculous, and, ristorante Angelo is a DESTINATION restaurant (yes, you should come to Sabbioneta just to eat this food.). Yes, yes I know it’s in Sabbioneta… and, the food is fantastic and authentic Indian cuisine. We had the Tandoori chicken, tikka masala and I didn’t even know there was a cheese naan until now. I’ve had a lot of great Indian food in many places, and Angelo’s matches m the best of them. Bravo!!

13/07/2026: Sunday lunch for two, a terrible experience. At least most of the dishes on the menu weren't available, or at least not the ones we'd have chosen. Terrible service, the owner in Bermuda shorts, and prices far too high for the quality of the food. I would have drunk a wine that the waitress couldn't recommend and that no one ever asked for again... good thing, I saved a little. Anyway, €65.00 went without a fair compensation! P.S. We were the only two customers.

04/07/2026: We were pleasantly surprised by this excellent restaurant. We tried traditional dishes revisited with unusual and delicious combinations. We'll be back soon to Matteo, a chef who pampered us in an authentic atmosphere in the heart of Sabbioneta!
