28/12/2025: I've been here many times, and I must say the quality and deliciousness of the food has been consistently good. Both the fish and meat dishes are excellent, and the desserts are equally delicious. When I'm in Salò, it's a must-see.

22/09/2025: A wonderful place to gaze at the lake and the mountains and enjoy delicious, freshly prepared, regional food. 😊 We also appreciated the very clear instructions when ordering, so every guest knows right away that there will be a pleasant, short wait – nicely bridged with various breadsticks. The couple who run the Holland restaurant are very nice, and the food is top-notch! Highly recommended.

27/08/2025: We had two excellent meals at Peter and Danielle's. Peter is a fantastic host, and his wife Danielle conjures up the most delicious dishes! While dining, you're treated to a beautiful view of Lake Idro. They don't have pizza, but we didn't miss it for a moment! It's a missed opportunity if you don't eat at Holland's 😉

09/03/2026: Splendid view, absent humanity I write this review with deep regret after my experience at Malga Valbione. Despite the beauty of the location, the service I received (or rather, denied) was unacceptable. While sitting at the outdoor tables, in pain from a knee injury I had just suffered while skiing, I politely asked a waiter (a man with a ponytail, glasses, and a beard) for some ice. The response was as cold as the ice I was looking for: I was told that, since it was self-service, I would have to get up and go get it inside. I find it paradoxical that in a situation of obvious physical difficulty, the "house rules" are placed before the most basic sense of assistance and courtesy. If it hadn't been for the sensitivity of a customer at a nearby table—whom I still thank from the bottom of my heart for helping me when I saw I was unable to walk—I would have been left without assistance. A place so popular with athletes should train its staff in managing minor emergencies and, above all, in empathy. What a shame.

12/02/2026: A restaurant with a very pleasant and welcoming atmosphere. The exterior may not be entirely visually appealing, but once inside, you immediately sense the care and relaxed atmosphere. The staff is truly polite, kind, and attentive, always available and professional in their service. The food is excellent, well-prepared and made with quality ingredients. Portions are generous and the dishes are flavorful. Overall, a place worth trying and definitely recommended.

31/01/2026: The sandwiches were delicious, and the wide selection of beers was appreciated. The place was very welcoming, and the staff were very kind and accommodating to our off-menu requests.

17/01/2026: Truly excellent food in a simple, quaint setting. Everything tasted great, but a special mention goes to the tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms: probably the best I've ever eaten. The tartare was also exquisite. Quality wines and spot-on recommendations are far from a given. It's one of those places that, if it were closer to the city, would always be packed. It's just a shame about the distance, but it's definitely worth the trip. We'll definitely be back. My only suggestion, more out of professional bias than actual criticism, is that warm light bulbs (under 4000K) would be better in the dining room, as the current lighting is a bit too cold and doesn't do justice to the atmosphere.

27/01/2026: Business lunch: fixed menu €13 with a choice of two first courses and two second courses (better this way to avoid waste), coffee not included (€1.50). Neat, clean, and bright atmosphere. Polite and attentive staff. Good, hot, and perfectly cooked food. Dogs welcome. Disabled access. Large outdoor area for summer.

19/01/2026: Two years later, I unfortunately have to lower my rating... there's nothing to change regarding the property, but unfortunately, both the communication from the staff at the time of booking and the room assigned to me have forced me to lower my previous rating... let me explain... I called to specifically request a specific room (which I had enjoyed the previous time), and was told that the upper floors, including the room I requested, were being repainted. No big deal, I was offered a room that was completely similar, according to the operator, but on the ground floor... I pointed out that I didn't remember seeing any ground-floor rooms, but after she confirmed, I asked what I could see from the windows, and was told that they looked directly onto the garden. I was shocked when I arrived at the property, when to reach the assigned room, I had to go down two flights of stairs, and while walking along with the receptionist, I pointed out that we were going to a lower floor... in response, she told me that the local municipality considered that level ground floor. (It's strange that the entrance to the building was on the ground floor, that the desired room was on the upper floor, and that to reach the assigned room you had to go down two flights of stairs from the entrance level). Once I reached the room, which I must say was completely decent and clean, the temperature both in the outside corridor and in the room was below 16 degrees... they pointed out the heat pump in the room, so I gave it the benefit of the doubt. Once I finally got into the room, I immediately noticed that my cell phone reception was barely there (perhaps the radio hadn't picked up on the news that I was on the ground floor), and when I tried to use the building's WiFi, the signal as soon as I entered the room was almost nonexistent. I reported the matter, and the kind lady again told me that one notch was sufficient. Meanwhile, I had turned on the heat pump, whose airflow was directed directly toward the ceiling due to a closet right below it.... My head was at 22 degrees, but my feet were at 18. I tried to look out the windows at the garden, and found a sort of manhole and therefore a retaining wall opposite. The bathroom, strictly unheated, was at an unpleasant temperature without walking clothes, so I had to leave the door wide open in the hope that some warmth would leak into the bedroom.....naturally, the result of the decreasing temperature was that it was more noticeable without socks.... As a result, if they had informed me by phone, I would not have booked....and in any case, I had to reduce my stay to just the first night, seeking refuge in another facility for the following period. This doesn't mean I won't return to the property, but if there's no room upstairs, I'll certainly avoid staying there. Photo of the room with heat pump, and then a view from the window.

21/01/2026: A lovely stroll along the lakeside leads you to this exceptional gelateria, offering a wide variety of choices: authentic, natural flavors, quality ingredients, and creamy gelato. It's definitely the best I've tasted in Iseo. And, not to be overlooked, the quality/price ratio is excellent. I give it the highest rating.

30/11/2025: A wonderful discovery. A place that blends authenticity, goodness, and kindness. The menu offers interesting dishes, well-cooked, and with satisfying portions. The wine selection isn't extensive, but there are excellent labels at a fair markup. I really enjoyed my stay. Besides the excellent food, the attentive and friendly wait staff is also noteworthy. The quality/price ratio is truly excellent. I recommend booking.

27/02/2026: I've traveled to many cities around the world and frequented countless coffee shops, but rarely have I encountered such a level of rudeness and shortsighted management as here. Here, for sheer convenience, they've chosen to ask customers what they intend to order before even seating them. Based on their response, they decide whether to grant them a table or direct them to the counter. So, you might sit down for a coffee or herbal tea only to be asked to stand because the table at that time is "reserved" for those who consume more. They probably think this is a way to select those who spend more. Too bad a herbal tea and a slice of cake cost exactly the same as an aperitif. And the most absurd aspect is that this rule is applied regardless of the number of people in the room, even when the place is half empty. I've sat down when the room was almost empty and been told I had to stand because, until 2:00 PM, the tables were reserved for those ordering sandwiches. It was 1:45 PM and there were three of us in the place. A ridiculous and downright rude approach, which makes the customer feel unwelcome. My advice is simple: if they ask you to change seats based on what you order and when, leave and don't come back. Brescia has no shortage of beautiful places that know how to welcome customers with respect, without turning a coffee into a business negotiation.
