17/12/2024: One of my favorite places for a pizza with friends. Room staff always very friendly. I have been to both the North department and the loft multiple times and they have never disappointed me. The loft has that extra something from every point of view but nothing to take away from the north department I'll update the review: unfortunately some things have changed, I last visited a few days ago. Totally inexperienced dining room staff, to be able to call a waiter to the table I had to get up! People who smoked electronic cigarettes everywhere, I understand that there is no formal ban but a bit of respect towards others too. Not to mention the music was really too loud. It was an experience to forget. I'm sorry that the atmosphere that I appreciated so much has changed.

18/12/2024: Nice place where we spent an excellent lunch featuring Japanese cuisine. Excellent quality dishes and excellent presentation, the expense in my opinion is commensurate with what is proposed

25/12/2024: We met with relatives for Christmas lunch. Everything perfect, from starter to dessert. Simple and well cooked dishes. The waiters and owners were very kind. The alternatives were very good for those who had problems eating certain dishes (2 girls waiting who couldn't eat cold cuts). They brought us a delicious roast veal with potatoes, cooked especially for those who didn't like porchetta (very good, among other things). Very good dessert. In short, a nice discovery for the next family reunions!!!!

16/09/2024: Pleasant evening event with live music.... sore point, a lot of confusion when booking food, orders were taken almost an hour after arriving at the venue, we didn't know for sure if there was an à la carte menu or fixed, another rather long wait before the first dishes arrive. Even the second courses were long in coming....in short, I would say that the service leaves a little to be desired, not to mention the quantity of food, which is rather poor. The bill, however, was generous and the value for money was not satisfactory. I will definitely not return to this place again

05/01/2025: I ate very well. On Sundays, skewer with polenta, 1 ossobuco with risotto and a nice well-made mixed salad to share. Everything perfect, 5 stars. But half a liter of bulk wine at €13.5 seemed a little too expensive. However, I highly recommend it. Total expense in 2 €60

I really like their Brescia biscuit. 03/01/2023, I tasted the "Desires", how good. 02/28/2023, I ate the single portion of Sicilian Cassata: I liked it very much. THE new pastry chef FRANCESCO arrived on 10/18/2022 and brought some very good creations, including the 7 veli. 10/25/2022, I ate the "7 Veli", it's a little less big than a truffle ice cream, it costs €5, but, in my opinion, it's a treat to indulge in: I liked it a lot. I really like their coffee prepared with their eggnog and their whipped cream on top. Now when I have breakfast in the morning it's almost the only place I go: coffee, croissant with Crema Garzoni, freshly squeezed juice. The chocolates made by them with the addition of eggnog made by them are also good.

22/12/2024: Since 1967 it has been cheering the tables of Brescia with traditional desserts and vegan specialities, much appreciated by customers of all ages. I love classic Brescian biscuits, not particularly sweet (I don't like sugary flavours), in full compliance with the classic traditional recipe. Desiderio's biscuits are good, with chestnut flour. Absolutely worth trying!

26/10/2024: We dined at this restaurant and opted for the 95-euro tasting menu for each of us. The menu included three starters, two first courses, a main dish, and a dessert, with all selections needing to be the same except for the dessert. The restaurant is beautifully designed with a stunning view. The dishes were flavorful and beautifully presented. However, we encountered an issue with the main course. For the main course we both ordered the veal escalope, but to our surprise, we received only a single portion: the waitress served two plates—one with the escalope and a side dish, and the other with only the side dish. She explained that we were expected to share the escalope. However, the escalope was a single piece with a rib, suitable as a portion for one person, not for sharing. This left us feeling like we did not get one main course. This left us disappointed and fell short of our expectations for a tasting menu at this price point.

13/08/2024: An exceptional view with delicious food. The caprese salad here is the best I have ever had. The nettle pasta here is also exceptional.

12/11/2024: …mi sono fermata per caso in questo locale!!…di passaggio in questo zona…ho chiesto dove era possibile mangiare lo spiedo fatto bene!!…e mi è stato fatto il nome di questo ristorante poco lontano da Toscolano Maderno!!…in collina!!…in località Gaino!!…è “Osteria ai Cantagai”!!…la location si trova in una posizione fantastica!!…pace e tranquillità!!…locale semplice ma veramente intimo e accogliente!!…molto gentile la signora e la ragazza che lavorano in sala!!…dopo avere fatto l’aperitivo ci siamo seduti al tavolo!!…e poi è arrivato lo spiedo!!…con la polenta!!…le patate e insalata mista!!…il tutto accompagnato da acqua e vino rosso!!…poi il sorbetto e a seguire il caffè!!…la signora ha gentilmente offerto il limoncello!!…che chiaramente ho apprezzato molto!!…che dire!!…lo spiedo era veramente eccezionale!!…cotto al punto giusto!!…tutto ben curato!!…come pure i contorni!!…ma che bontà!!…e tornerò sicuramente di nuovo in questa “Osteria ai Cantagai”!!…poco lontano da Toscolano Maderno!!…🧑‍🍳🍽️🔝💯‼️
