24/11/2025: Mediocre service. Unacceptable food, ridiculously overpriced, considering the menu was pre-arranged for 23 guests. Dessert was served excessively.
I don't recommend it and won't go there again.
14/11/2025: It's always been the quintessential city center restaurant: elegant, classic, refined, with exquisite cuisine.
In recent weeks, something has changed, less convincing; the menu no longer changes every week; something's missing.
Let's give it another chance, of course...
The restaurant has had an important, prestigious, and challenging past: let's hope for the best...

Super good pizza for those who love thin, well-cooked pizza.
17/09/2025: We ate the pizza, I must say the pasta was spectacular, very light and well-seasoned. Must try. Ample parking, covered veranda where you can eat outside, fast and very polite service.

20/08/2025: Giulio, the host, is incredible. His knowledge of Italian wines and gastronomy is unique! We had a Leonardo Da Vinci platter (a mix of cheese and cured meats) and two glasses of wine, a delicious white and a truly exceptional red! We added some side dishes (Apulian asparagus and Sicilian artichokes) at Giulio's suggestion, and thank you so much! They were delicious! This is a place for anyone who wants to learn a little more about our gastronomy, our Italian products, and especially for anyone who knows how to recognize a food enthusiast like Giulio!

17/08/2025: The tables are furnished in an original and characteristic way; it's a shame that the area in which they are located isn't particularly beautiful. In my opinion, the waiter wasn't entirely transparent, offering us jams and honey along with the cheeses; when it came to the bill, we discovered they were extra and had to be paid. The products were good, but the prices were far too high for the quantity, the location, and the products provided. €44 for the aperitif pictured seems utterly exorbitant.

06/12/2025: The shower was disgusting, it made me vomit. There were live worms crawling around on the shower floor in the damp. I'm wondering: can you avoid checks even in Italy with protection money?

10/10/2025: Stunning location, beautiful views of the piazza and of the Duomo. The lady kindly talked us through all the specials and the menu. The Gnocchi with gorgonzola (on the specials), was the best I have ever tasted. The hospitality was perfect. Very reasonably priced and just far enough away from the main touristy restaurants. We will be returning here again.
27/09/2025: A small restaurant that doesn't look like much from the outside. It may seem cold, but we were pleasantly surprised by the food. Excellent local cuisine.
Contrary to other reviews, the owner was very friendly and accommodating (she called a taxi at our request at the end of the meal).

16/11/2025: We stumbled upon this place for lunch by chance, and even though it was packed, they let us sit at the counter, which was very comfortable and clean.
We had the Brescia-style skewer with polenta and the spaghetti with whitefish, Taggiasca olives, capers, and cherry tomatoes. Everything was delicious and the portions were perfect.
Great wine selection!
Very friendly staff.
Recommended!
27/10/2025: Two adults and two children (one in a stroller) got in and out in record time.
We asked for an aperitif, but the guy at the door repeated twice, almost sarcastically, that it could only be done at the bar. It was a shame, however, that all the stools were taken and some people were already standing, while the tables in front were completely empty.
I've never experienced such behavior in a restaurant before; I definitely won't be back, and I don't recommend it to anyone.

12/08/2025: Prices are too high for the quality. For aperitivo, you have to order something from the menu, otherwise they won't bring anything with your drink. This is a historic (and somewhat dark) venue in the heart of Carmine. It's not the cleanest, and there's limited seating inside. It's good for those looking to spend the evening outside in the summer.

I booked a hotel room and received an email confirmation. I booked with a credit card. But no one was there. The phone never answered. I waited... but nothing!! Luckily, I managed to get a hotel room in Iseo late. I'm going to report this to the Guarda di Finanza!
