The side salad deserves special mention; it was a proper mixed salad with a delicious vinaigrette, not some dry, sloppy bowl of salad with just a sloppy dressing of vinegar and oil. We will definitely be back during our vacation. A big thank you also goes to the owner himself, who answered all our questions about the region. We highly recommend this restaurant! Update: We visited Peter and his wife's Restaurant Holland again during our vacation. This time, the chef outdid herself. We didn't eat better at all during our entire trip! Her pasta was already fantastic, but the fish and meat dishes were incredibly delicious! Thank you again!

31/05/2026: My girlfriend and I went here for her birthday: what can I say, an excellent choice! We had the lake appetizer, the lake fish, and the classic Lariano dish, polenta and missoltino. Everything was delicious, paired with an excellent bottle of very fresh Friulian Traminer. We even had our own "private" view of the lake, nothing to complain about. Excellent service, very friendly and helpful staff, we highly recommend it.

I found the chandeliers above the tables a bit uncomfortable; they're unique, but too low to allow people to sit across from each other without having to bend down to pass, and they were also inconvenient for the waiters serving. The idea of ​​using books as menu holders and decorative accessories is original. Personal opinions about the decor aside, the dishes are prepared with care using carefully selected ingredients, including those from small local businesses. The dishes are presented in a charming and thoughtful way. The risotto I ordered was very good and easy to digest, as was the cheesecake. The staff was helpful and friendly.

The location is classic, old-fashioned, but the pizzas are modern, deep, and loaded with toppings, with a digestible, non-rubbery crust. They're beautiful and delicious. A wide selection, from the most classic to the most elaborate and unique. Desserts are also delicious and plentiful. Highly recommended. The only drawback is finding parking.

The highlight is undoubtedly the quality and deliciousness of the various dishes offered: spectacular empanadas, the various cuts of meat (especially the fillet) are delicious, and the desserts are also very good. The staff is truly knowledgeable, attentive, and always available. The price is consistent with the quality of the ingredients. I've been here twice to date, and I was extremely satisfied both times. I highly recommend it!

15/05/2026: A terrific night trying local wines with friendly staff who were very knowledgeable. By the 3rd wine pairing the staff were bringing out options based on our preferences and feedback from the first 2 drinks. Simple food fare (26Ë for a meat/cheese board - more to spend on the wine!!) but if you are a wine lover this is a must-see. Drinks very reasonable and bringing back a couple of local bottles each! And def make a reservation given how popular it is. Cannot recommend enough if you are in Bellagio.

We travel around the world, however waiting for a table for 90 plus minutes after being told it would be 20-30 minutes just is not acceptable ANYWHERE in the world... I have no idea how the food was as we took our bottle "to go" after waiting 90 minutes...

13/05/2026: A small but very welcoming restaurant on the lakeside promenade in Laveno. Excellent food, excellent ingredients, generous and beautifully presented dishes. We arrived almost at closing time for lunch, but they seated us and served us without any problems. Thank you for your hospitality and excellent service. I would also recommend it for a romantic dinner overlooking the lake.

If you go, you won't regret it. You'll enjoy generous portions of food and a good local red wine that's a pleasure to drink. Typical Valtellina cuisine, worth trying. Recommended. Fair prices.
