23/05/2025: È raro uscire da un ristorante con la sensazione di aver vissuto qualcosa di davvero speciale, ma è esattamente quello che è successo dopo la cena da Hostaria Ducale. Ci siamo trovati lì quasi per caso, in una serata genovese di pioggia leggera, e sin dall’ingresso abbiamo percepito una cura fuori dal comune. Il locale è raccolto, intimo, arredato con gusto ma senza ostentazioni. Non c'è musica di sottofondo: solo voci basse, piatti che arrivano con grazia, e una certa sospensione del tempo. Il servizio è stato impeccabile. I camerieri si muovono in silenzio, presenti ma mai invadenti. Una ragazza in particolare ci ha accompagnati per tutta la cena con discrezione e gentilezza, rispondendo alle nostre curiosità con chiarezza e senza fretta. Non c’è nulla di affettato nei loro modi: si sente che ci tengono davvero a farti stare bene. Abbiamo scelto il percorso degustazione da otto portate, e ogni piatto è stato un piccolo viaggio. Indimenticabile il risotto con anguilla affumicata, un equilibrio perfetto tra cremosità, affumicatura e acidità. Il piccione con foie gras è arrivato come un’opera teatrale ben costruita: cottura magistrale, sapori profondi, senza eccessi. Anche i dessert, spesso trascurati altrove, qui brillano per inventiva e precisione.

06/08/2025: Excellent Italian-Chinese place, perhaps the best I have visited. Very friendly staff, clean place, nice and tasty food without that glutamate flavor typical of Chinese cuisines in Italy. It's just a shame that it's far from our house. We are from Milan, we were just passing through Genoa for work and tourism.

17/06/2025: The food is divine, perfect pizzas that are hard to finish, grilled cockerel that melts in your mouth, salami and quails, I don't even mention them. You only have to book if you want the cockerel because otherwise you risk not finding it, it sells out like hot cakes, while the pizzas are always there. In the summer you can find Pizzo Calabrò ice cream, endless beers, soft drinks and water, there is even the secret spicy oil with Calabrian chilli pepper to macerate which is the bomb. In addition to eating very well, the price is really very cheap, the place is always clean, there is a huge square nearby where you can park. I live in Milan and yet going there to Vincenzo is priceless, he even accepts medium-sized dogs like huskies. After only a couple of times that you go to the tavern you realise that you are part of a big family and that the food there becomes better and better. It is not a "luxury" place, no red carpet, this is a place where you can eat divinely in great company, you laugh and all your problems disappear. It's no use traveling the world if you've never eaten here at least once. PS I don't write positive reviews if I'm not sure of what I'm writing, so I suggest you eat to believe.

01/08/2025: A beautiful restaurant, mostly outdoors, specializing in traditional Ligurian dishes and grilled meats. It's delightful to dine al fresco in the summer, and the atmosphere is always very convivial. The food is excellent (the pesto and walnut sauce are a must-try!), and the staff are friendly. Prices are reasonable, especially considering the quality of the ingredients. It's a great place for dinners with friends, families with children (there's a nice, well-equipped area for them), and even for large gatherings (though it's not always easy to find a table). Highly recommended and definitely worth a try!
