Famous and cheap... worth trying even if the taste is a bit disappointing

It’s a small, lively place, and the staff seem to enjoy working together, which is always lovely to see. I had the Peppe. The bun is very soft and moist, but is toasted on the hot plate so it’s a lovely mix of soft and crisp. The patty is beautifully grilled and yet still somehow fall-apart-in-your-mouth tender. The sundried tomato sauce is a flavour bomb. Absolutely delicious.

An Italian friend had described it to me as a "life-changing" burger, so my expectations were definitely too high 😅 In the end, however, it was pretty mediocre. The burger bun was poorly made, even a little burned in some places; even the caramelized onions weren't cooked through. The more I ate, the saltier and heavier it became. Plus, even though the fries were already made and there wasn't even a line, I had to wait almost twenty minutes. The only positive is the price, which is actually not high. But honestly, if you have to wait in line, I wouldn't recommend it at all, and it's not even worth coming here specifically for. Five minutes away, McDonald's is almost a better choice.
