Trattoria Vegia Zena In Genova

I discovered this restaurant thanks to the positive reviews from other users. We are a group of 21 conscripts. I recommend it without a doubt. The dishes are delicious. Everyone agrees.

It has a homey atmosphere and feels like a local diner. The wine was reasonably priced and delicious. We ordered squid ink and seafood risotto. The squid ink risotto was overpriced with hardly any ingredients. The seafood risotto, however, had plenty of seafood and was reasonably priced. Overall, it has a touristy feel to it.

Excellent restaurant and delicious dishes

An extremely authentic and ideal place to fully immerse yourself in the atmosphere of Genoa, and above all to do so authentically, avoiding the tourist cliché. Located in the Porto Antico area, in one of the characteristic alleys, it offers generous portions at very fair prices! The first night we had battered cod with aioli sauce and their mixed antipasto, followed by the inevitable trofie with pesto and the fried pasta with chips. For dessert, we had chocolate cake (served warm, almost like a fudge-filled tart) and tiramisu! The quality was truly high and the fish was extremely fresh (the fried fish was masterfully prepared, dry, and perfectly seasoned), so we booked for the following evening too, where we had seconds of cod with aioli sauce, trofie, and for a main course, the catch of the day (amberjack with artichokes and potatoes), and the express fish soup, so abundant that my mother struggled to finish it! The service was kind and attentive; they even apologized for the two-minute wait at the register, so I can't recommend it enough! We'll definitely be back when we're in Genoa again!

It was hard to find, but once I got there, I didn't regret it. The service was very nice and the food was even better. I highly recommend it.

Excellent! The trofie pasta with pesto was superb, and the mixed grilled fish was delicious. Plus, the service was attentive and friendly. Our lunch on the sunny terrace was a wonderful memory of Genoa.

I had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant on May Day, and the experience exceeded our expectations. We ordered trofie with pesto, tagliolini with squid ink and pistachio pesto, and mixed fried fish. Everything was delicious. Despite the holiday and the rather crowded restaurant, the organization and table management were impeccable.
