18/09/2025: @NotsochillPhil on YouTube. I had my lunch here while in Genoa and I would highly recommend this place. See my short on YouTube we had Pesto Gnocchi and Truffle Ravioli with a small dessert of tiramisu. I had a large Gnocchi and the Mrs had a medium Ravioli and it was plenty. The dishes are served in paper bowls with a flour tortilla but dont let this put you off as I wish mine didn't have to end. 😀

03/10/2025: For a quick lunch break, we decided to stop at this restaurant. The place is simple but very welcoming, the staff are very friendly, the food is good and plentiful, so much so that we each ordered a first course and dessert. The tagliolini allo scoglio, with more seafood than pasta, were truly delicious. The dessert was also good. The price was excellent. I recommend it.

04/10/2025: Not the tourist trap that it seems to be. Very pretty view on the cathedral (from the terrace). Propper food & friendly service for a very good price.

30/09/2025: I ordered the truffle pasta, it was delicious! 10/10 Chef Mikael came to the table with a blueberry liqueur and chocolate truffle—a gastronomic experience!

24/09/2025: While walking around the old streets of Genoa we discovered a gem of a restaurant. It was small and had an intimate feeling about it so we made a booking. The interior was absolutely beautiful, elegant and decorated with amazing furnishings, memorabilia from days gone by and with extremely comfortable seating. We had a wonderful dinner, the food was beautifully presented and really delicious. Maurizio, the owner, made the evening one to remember, he was such a lovely man who was happy to chat with us throughout the evening. We would highly recommend Au Cafe to anyone who likes good food , fine dining and a great atmosphere. Thank you Maurizio for a great night. Andrew & Gisella.

17/09/2025: Since 2010, whenever I've been in Genoa, it's been a regular stop. This elegant restaurant serves carefully prepared traditional dishes, with competent and very friendly service from the owner. I've never had the same kind of pasta with green beans and potatoes as I've eaten here!

29/06/2025: Scoperta per caso da mia sorella ed a due passi da casa ci abbiamo pranzato ieri. Il locale è piccolo, splendidamente arredato in stile marinaresco e pulitissimo. Il personale ed i proprietari professionali ma allo stesso tempo ti fanno sentire parte della loro famiglia. Parlando delle pietanze la scelta è solo di pesce (a parte le lasagne al pesto che avevano davvero un ottimo profumo) e, per chi lo ama come me, fa davvero la differenza! Qualità e freschezza, il tutto servito su bellissimi piatti, sono davvero rimasta colpita!! In particolare un elogio per i ravioli i di branzino fatti da loro... Da urlo! Complimenti davvero a tutti!!!

11/10/2025: Evening with friends... excellent pizza and pinsa with quality ingredients, excellent service and the girls serving the tables are friendly and kind and give excellent advice... we will definitely be back.

04/10/2025: Excellent pizzeria! In addition to the pizzas on the online menu, there are others listed on the chalkboard inside the restaurant, such as, currently, the pizza/pinsa with fresh porcini mushrooms. Among the desserts, an interesting reinterpretation of tiramisu, "Zena's tiramisu," with toasted focaccia instead of ladyfingers, is offered. The waiter is friendly and entertaining.

26/09/2025: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Hidden Gem for Family Dining! We stumbled upon this lovely traditional family restaurant through our travels, and we’re so glad we did! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming — the kind of place where you can relax and truly enjoy a meal with loved ones. The menu had a great variety of classic dishes, all clearly made with care and authentic flavors. Everything we ordered was delicious, but the Tiramisu was the absolute highlight — hands down one of the best we've ever had! Light, creamy, perfectly balanced… it was the perfect ending to a wonderful meal. Service was friendly and attentive, and the staff made us feel right at home. If you’re looking for a cozy, family-run spot with amazing food and a relaxed vibe, this is it. We’ll definitely be back!

20/09/2025: The view of Genoa is priceless, and in the summer, dinner in the church square is unrivaled. It's certainly not easy to get to, but fortunately you'll find private parking. The menu offers an excellent selection, including seafood. Everything is high-quality and excellent. Add to that the friendly, polite, and knowledgeable service. The wine selection is good. Prices are slightly above average, but definitely justified. Visit privately to believe it.

06/08/2025: Excellent Italian-Chinese place, perhaps the best I have visited. Very friendly staff, clean place, nice and tasty food without that glutamate flavor typical of Chinese cuisines in Italy. It's just a shame that it's far from our house. We are from Milan, we were just passing through Genoa for work and tourism.

21/09/2025: A great restaurant in a city considered the capital of the mushroom kingdom. First, the breaded porcini mushrooms, which were a complete surprise to me, mushroom pickers, as I'd always known them in this form, as I'd only ever seen kanes, or "owls" in Lesser Poland. Breaded porcini mushrooms taste wonderful. For my main course, I ordered the octopus pasta and wasn't disappointed either, as it was a very successful combination of various types of pasta in a delicate sauce with generous chunks of polpo. And the mojito for dessert—it was culinary heaven (a ball of thin mint chocolate held cream, accompanied by lime sorbet). The selection of Italian wines was excellent, with my favorite Gewürtzraminer at the forefront, but also an excellent Vermentino.

11/10/2025: We had a really great food evening at Zi’ Ninella’s. We were lucky to have gotten a table and the food Asian Italian Ligurian was really delicious and well presented. Service and local wine recommendations were well paired with our dinner.

06/10/2025: Comment on our stay at the Grand Hotel Savoia in Genoa. We spent two very pleasant nights at the Grand Hotel Savoia in Genoa, a splendid establishment where we fully appreciated the comfort of the premises, the quality of the services, and the varied and generous breakfast. The welcome and attentiveness of the staff deserve to be highlighted. We also took advantage of the proximity of the hotel's two restaurants, Tralalêro and Salgari, where we dined back-to-back. Unfortunately, our culinary experiences at both establishments did not live up to the hotel's standards. At Tralalêro, all dishes were served on cold plates, which detracted from the enjoyment of the dishes. Furthermore, a dish of bacalao, clearly too cold, seemed fresh from the refrigerator and had to be returned to the kitchen. At Salgari, the situation was similar: cold plates and an interminable wait for six seafood risottos, which were ultimately served barely warm, even though there were only a dozen guests in the room. To our surprise, the risotto was an unappealing turquoise blue, garnished with a few mussels and topped with a shrimp covered in sun-dried tomato skin. We would like to point out that these comments are made in a constructive spirit. It would be helpful to inform the kitchen teams at these two restaurants that guests are provided with a warming tray at breakfast, proof that it is entirely possible to serve food at a suitable temperature in this high-end establishment. Aside from these culinary disappointments, our stay at the Grand Hotel Savoia will remain a very pleasant memory, and we hope that these observations will help further improve the quality of the guest experience.

05/10/2025: Very easy to access by car. Valet parking for €28. Barely more expensive than a local parking lot. And you can leave your car keys there with complete confidence. Very well-located hotel. For three days we explored the city on foot. Only praise for everything. The welcome, the kindness of the staff, the comfort of the room. I highly recommend it.
