24/09/2025: I tried the chestnut and chickpea soup: fabulous! A typical restaurant worth a stop for good food and friendly service.

23/09/2025: The staff was terrible. I waited two hours and they only brought me two appetizers. The steak was still raw after two hours. I won't be going back.

14/03/2026: The dining experience at "Da Alfreda" was, overall, disappointing. Analyzing the dishes, the main courses were pleasant. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the first courses: the cacio e pepe, in particular, was excessively oily. Overall, the first courses were passable and in line with the prices, but they offered nothing memorable. However, the main flaw of this establishment lies in the service, which was completely subpar and bordered on rude. The main aggravating factor was the complete absence of a printed menu: the entire menu was listed to us verbally in a hasty and perfunctory manner. It's unthinkable to expect customers to instantly memorize a list recited in that manner; yet, the waitress showed obvious and unjustified disappointment at our concerns, categorically refusing to give us the time we needed to consider our choices. The height of rudeness was reached when we ordered side dishes: with a snarky and clearly irritated attitude, the employee literally turned her back on us and walked away from the table while we were still talking. This level of arrogance toward customers is unacceptable and irreparably compromises the overall experience. Strongly discouraged.

09/03/2026: Stumbled upon it by chance, on a business trip. This osteria is nestled in a very characteristic location. Nestled in a beautiful medieval village, this restaurant serves fresh, local food of a quality reminiscent of what our grandmothers used to make. Highly recommended, excellent value.

17/02/2026: A very beautiful place surrounded by greenery. Recommended for lunches, dinners, and banquets. We celebrated my daughter's first communion there and it was impeccable.

19/02/2026: I stayed at this hostel with the Cammini group for three days. I had a great time. Lucia, the hostess, is very kind and helpful. I follow a vegan diet, and she prepared some very, very good dishes for me, like the famous "acqua cotta." It was amazing, my partner had seconds. Not to mention the desserts she prepares for breakfast. Beautiful to look at and to eat 😋 Thanks, Lucia, we hope to see you again.

04/01/2026: Don't expect real pizza, a low base like a piadina without edges, even a simple margherita makes you really thirsty so we don't even have the leavening, the ingredients on the pizza are abundant, nice place, normal staff.

11/02/2026: My reviews tend to be long, so for those in a hurry, I'll say right away that this place is highly recommended! Now let's get into the details: 1) Location: A magnificent 500-year-old structure on Via Nicolai, the long central street that leads to the foot of the magnificent Palazzo Farnese. 2) Ownership: A husband and wife team run the place, and as we all know, family-run business minimizes risk. Mrs. Ilaria, working in the dining room with Germana, and Ilaria's husband in the kitchen, creating excellent dishes, truly form the perfect team. 3) Service: Ilaria's kindness and helpfulness gave us moments of absolute pleasure, with service that was never intrusive but also never absent. 4) Food Quality: From the excellent mixed fried fish, to the excellent (and beautiful to look at) grilled dishes, to the interesting and delicious first courses, and the desserts, everything that arrived at the table was met with admiration and a great taste. The generous portions are typical of places that do well, and therefore cater not only to tourists but also, and above all, to locals. Locals, especially in this area, prefer these generous portions. It's good to know this before ordering... 5) The price: not a cent more than you'd hoped to pay!!! Exceptional!! I can only say good things about this place, and if you're in the area and looking for a place to stay, Ilaria will also welcome you to her B&B. Could you ask for more?

05/03/2026: I ate at this restaurant several times until the end of 2025. The portions were generous and well-cooked, and Pietro at the counter was extremely friendly. It changed management at the beginning of 2026. I stayed at the hotel a week ago on a Sunday, and the restaurant was closed. From what I've learned, the new management is focusing on gourmet cuisine, with larger portions and different prices than the previous one. Frankly, I'm not convinced at first glance.

13/01/2026: A well-kept and welcoming café, ideal for a quick break. I had a cappuccino: the quantity was a bit limited and slightly warm, but overall decent and acceptable. Friendly service and a pleasant atmosphere. The price is average (€1.40). Nothing particularly tempting to become a regular, other than the logistical convenience. The sandwiches, including those with porchetta, are appreciated.

05/03/2026: If you're passing by the lakeside in Montefiascone, you can't miss lunch or dinner at Morano. The quality, courtesy, and ambiance are wonderful. I recommend calling to reserve a table overlooking the lake.

15/02/2026: Unfortunately, I have to give my dinner a negative review. The high price-quality ratio is, in my opinion, completely inadequate. Appetizer: Minimal portion consisting of just a few mussels and clams, which were tasteless and lacked seasoning. First course: Gnocchi were overcooked. The scampi cream was disappointing: the seafood flavor was missing; a vague taste prevailed (probably butter). Second course: The fried calamari and shrimp was, in my opinion, the worst I've ever eaten in my life. In short: small portions and quality that, in my opinion, absolutely doesn't justify the final bill. I would not recommend it. The only positive note was that the young waiter who served us was kind, quick, and precise, which raised my rating for the service.

18/02/2026: Meal only, no overnight stay. The truffle pasta suited Taiwanese tastes. The beef steak that was served had too much gristle and was inedible; the restaurant replaced it with a new one, and the service was excellent. They offered their own homemade wine (low alcohol content).

05/01/2026: We went to dinner at this restaurant and had a divine meal. Generous portions and quality food. We had the house wine, which was delicious! I highly recommend the truffle carbonara and the sweet and sour wild boar.

29/12/2025: I try there, try there, but in the end I always come back here. Porca Vacca never disappoints me, in terms of quality and price and above all the kind and smiling staff as always. I love you 🫶

25/09/2025: My fellow diners and I had a great time. Despite not having wheelchair access due to a few steps at the entrance, the owner helped a wheelchair user down. This alone makes this restaurant worth a visit, where there are still such kind people. Thank you.
