21/10/2025: Even though I don't live in Ostia, but come here for work, I was lucky enough to discover this bar. I love this place for several reasons, first and foremost the owners' friendliness and hospitality, always kind and available to accommodate customers' needs. But not only that, they have that ingredient that makes all the difference: passion for what they do. And here I am to talk about their specialty coffees, of true quality—don't even bother talking about pods with them! And they also add sugar, because coffee is good, and good without sugar. The simple style also allows for a quick meal without sacrificing flavor. I usually order the poké with fish, which is truly fresh, and decorated with vegetables and fruit according to Sabrina's imagination. But they also have paninis, tramezzini, and various salads, all fresh and made to order. I forgot to mention the desserts; their croissants are always fresh and fragrant! In short, a no-frills bar that preserves the tradition of old-fashioned bars. I would say highly recommended!

09/10/2025: The pastries, pastries, and sandwiches are excellent. The coffee is also delicious, but if you order it without sugar, tell the barista, otherwise they'll add sugar automatically.

26/10/2025: Really disappointed, mainly due to the fact that the air conditioning in our Junior suite did not work. When we queried this the staff said that they can only alter the temperature from reception. The temperature remained sweltering in our room for the duration of our stay, with little sleep had. When I took this up with the Manager/Supervisor on check out he could not have cared less, disbelieving me and telling me their stats show the temperature was fine. He could have handled my complaint so much better rather than going on the attack. It’s a shame as the Hotel had character with a nice spa. Just let down by the way a genuine complaint is handled by management I don’t consider this Hotel 4 star if no air con is available, as this is vital for guest comfort and a good nights sleep. Charging high prices creates high expectations.

29/08/2025: The bar is dull and sad. The staff is cold, indifferent, and unsympathetic. They often make up excuses for not accepting card payments.

26/10/2025: Very unpleasant place. We went there yesterday around 2 pm to eat, and of course, since it was Saturday, there were a lot of people. I had to argue about the non-existent numbers on the reservation, and pointed this out to the staff, who pretended not to see us. The staff was very, very slow, rude, and completely annoyed with their work. The place was dirty, and the restrooms were unusable. I'd like to understand how they manage a restaurant like Mec. What does the manager or someone in his stead do like this? We were devastated to see all this. Furthermore, the sandwiches and chips were cold because they were left on the counter, waiting, while people whose turn it was were talking over their chips, etc.... disgusting. I hope they take action.

07/10/2025: A shameful thing 😞 because the tables outside are very dirty👀 both with cigarette ash and scratch card residues but the thing that shocked me most is the very old encrusted dirt🫣🫣 so they don't clean them properly (I also posted photos of what I write in my review) I had to go outside to drink the cappuccino (which by the way they didn't have vegetable milk that I wanted to drink so I opted for a lactose-free cappuccino) because inside it was hellishly hot😓 they didn't have air conditioning and the entrance door was also closed 😰😰. So my review is negative overall and I don't recommend it to anyone. I strongly recommend going to another bar.

04/09/2025: Whenever I'm in the area, I always stop by for a nice coffee. The staff is friendly and helpful. The coffee is very good, and there's a good selection for a nice breakfast. The cigarette and gaming section is nice; this tobacco bar has it all. Plenty of tables both inside and out. Recommended.
