11/12/2025: A pleasant place, the owner is friendly and helpful, the wine is good, and the prices are fair. It has very convenient private parking and is easy to get to. The only flaw: my Chianti stew wasn't good. The cut of meat was probably not exceptional, which is a shame, because the sauce was excellent. The first courses and appetizers are good. The local pecorino croquettes are worth trying. Prices are fair and the portions are generous. The wines are mostly their own, good, and competitively priced. Definitely worth trying again.

05/03/2026: Very small but very welcoming place. You could eat there just for the friendly waitress, but we recommend it for the food, which is fantastic. The Florentine steak melted in your mouth, and the freshly made tiramisu was delicious. Great experience 🔝

20/02/2026: Very good local trattoria in San Gimignano. We were here in winter so about 80% of the restaurants are closed. How do you know this one was authentic? Packed with locals at 8pm on a week night. Must try if you're in the area. Sausages with tomatoes and tusan beans was delicious, will be thinking of this meal for years to come.

01/03/2026: We chose La Solita Zuppa restaurant in the historic center of Chiusi, drawn by the excellent reviews, and we can say that our expectations were fully met. I highly recommend making a reservation: the restaurant filled up quickly, and without a reservation you risk being disappointed. We were greeted with great warmth and escorted to our table in a well-kept, clean environment with attention to detail, even in the table setting. The service was impeccable: the waitress immediately offered water and clearly explained how to consult the menu via QR code. We chose traditional dishes: pici, soup, and a truly delicious osso buco. Everything was perfect, beautifully presented, and above all, delicious. The coffee was also splendid, served alongside homemade sweets, a selection of sugars, and chocolates: an elegant and much-appreciated finishing touch. A truly perfect choice. Congratulations and thanks to all the staff!

20/02/2026: We are group of four went to the La Solitaire Zappa on Saturday 14th February. As soon as entering, we were welcomed by the staff and the owner. Being so patient and enthusiastic about food, the owner explained everything that we ought to know before ordering our meals. I felt like we had entered a food museum with so many things that we’ve learned about food in Tuscany. The menu includes so many choices, and eventually we ordered fried artichokes, cold meats, pasta with truffles, stewed beef cheeks with grape leaves and more, plus a bottle of 15 years old wine. All dishes came with beautiful presentations and tasted delicious; the service was prompt and professional; the price was reasonable… We left the restaurant with complete satisfaction, and would love to go back again soon.

17/01/2026: A very welcoming location, truly fast and efficient service. A very young man served us, truly talented and attentive! And fortunately, there wasn't much buzz around, allowing us to converse peacefully. The dishes were carefully prepared and finally the right amount—let's just say they were generous in flavor, quality, and quantity. Not the usual expensive dishes that are tiny in portions! So, a fair price-to-value ratio. I won't attach photos, nor will I reveal what we ordered, because it's better to be curious and try! Thanks, I'll be back!

29/11/2025: Wow, what amazing home style Italian food. This was everything we had hoped for in a restaurant here. The pasta was top notch, the tomato sauce was simple but unlike any sauce we’ve tasted before, and the meats were very good. Their wines were also amazing, so definitely do the wine tasting option. We cannot recommend this place enough.

25/01/2026: I had a truly wonderful meal: the pork shank was tender and flavorful, perfectly cooked, and the mashed potatoes were creamy and delicate, a perfect accompaniment. The lasagna was also excellent, rich and flavorful. A hearty, quality meal that I highly recommend! I'll definitely be back to try more.

10/01/2026: Above-average value for money. It's a popular place, so reservations are essential. Traditional Tuscan cuisine, generous portions, and very fair prices. The staff is all friendly, and it really feels like home. If I return to Chianciano, I'll invite myself back. Highly recommended. In this case, the Google reviews didn't matter.

13/12/2025: We had lunch at this restaurant on the way home from a trip. It's impossible not to appreciate the food: ingredients of undisputed quality, dishes cooked to perfection. The ambiance only adds to the pleasure of the food, and the prices are fair. The real asset of this restaurant, however, is Tiziano, the soul of the restaurant. It's hard to find someone so professional, fun, and friendly, the epitome of Tuscan style.

08/12/2025: Pici with Chianina ragù and peposo are two highly recommended dishes. The waiter, Tiziano, was very courteous and attentive, even to the needs of two celiacs.

16/02/2026: We ordered a plate of fries as an appetizer, but I didn't get a chance to eat them properly because the pizzas arrived shortly afterward (two minutes later), while the plates were still full. The atmosphere was very noisy, but the pizza was really good.

16/02/2026: The menu is vast and very good, the only downside is that the pizza is inedible, it looks beautiful with a nice crust, but the pasta is inedible.

29/10/2025: The duck breast was overcooked, resulting in a grayish color and a dry taste. The salad was dressed with mayonnaise. I wouldn't go back.

21/10/2025: The tortellini with pecorine cheese sauce was good, but there were more negatives. We asked for well-done meat, but unfortunately they brought burnt meat, meaning it was pink on the inside but charred on the outside. It tasted bad and lacked salt. They only brought slices of bread to the table as a starter. There was nothing on offer as a cover dish. There was no salt or oil on the table either.

01/01/2026: An enchanting place where you can feel pampered and immersed in Tuscan nature! Gorgeous and well-maintained rooms. We recommend trying the wine therapy, a real treat! 29/12/2025: A fairytale place, in the middle of the Sienese countryside, a little paradise on earth, the rooms are well heated and welcoming, the chef at the restaurant is exceptional, her dishes are perfection.... Very professional and available staff at any time, highly recommended!!!!

24/01/2026: New menu featuring Wagyu beef, simply buttered. Centrally located restaurant in Gaiole in Chianti, the staff is always friendly and accommodating to guests' requests. The menu is extremely varied, with the undeniable highlight being the abundance of various cuts of meat. Congratulations again to Alma, Ado, and the entire staff.
