10/08/2025: unfortunately I don't have any pictures of the food, we arrived after a day of traveling and ate everything like hungry dogs. but the food was really delicious and the desserts were completely out of this world. the restaurant is expensive, but sometimes you have to pay extra for quality if you get adequate service. I highly recommend visiting for a romantic dinner.

09/08/2025: Fine dining at its best. It was an absolute highlight of our vacation; fantastic food. Excellent wine with a very good selection. Extremely friendly staff. A highlight for us in the San Gimignano area.

23/08/2025: My family enjoyed a lovely five-night stay at this property. The location was excellent and enabled us to visit different Tuscan locations on each day. The property itself was great -- the apartment we stayed in (the Margherita) was large and very comfortable for our family. We were there during a heat wave, and the central air conditioning was strong enough to leave us comfortable throughout our stay. Another highlight of this property is the restaurant. We enjoyed multi-course meals through the half-pension play (which included both breakfast and dinner), and they were very accommodating for our children who had specific dietary requests. And the staff at this property was very friendly and spoke English well. I would definitely return -- and while it was rated only 3 stars, in our experience it was far nicer than the 4-star establishments we stayed in. I would definitely recommend, and we plan to stay here again in the future.

18/08/2025: A little paradise. The Margarita room was incredible, completely renovated, with a beautiful terrace. The restaurant is excellent, serving delicious local cuisine. I highly recommend it.

10/08/2025: Food was average at best. We each had the papa Al pomodoro for primo piatto which was good and then I got the steak and my husband got the duck. It was fine but not high quality. Both courses served room temp which I found odd. The best part of meal was the chocolate cake. Fair service. Beautiful atmosphere.

19/07/2025: From the moment we arrived at Walter’s restaurant, we felt like welcomed guests rather than just customers — Walter and his team bring an incredible warmth and care to everything they do. The setting is rustic and relaxed in the best possible way — peaceful, authentic, and surrounded by the charm of the Tuscan countryside. The food was exactly what we were hoping for: local, honest, and absolutely delicious. Every dish felt like it had a story behind it, crafted with intention and pride. There’s no pretension here — just great food, genuine hospitality, and a deep sense of place. It’s the kind of restaurant that makes you slow down, savor, and smile. A heartfelt thank you to Walter and the whole team for making us feel so welcome. We can’t wait to return.

05/09/2025: We came to this restaurant attracted by the name and we were not wrong! One of the best Florentine steaks I've ever tasted, tasty and perfectly cooked! The appetizer and side dishes were also excellent, all with friendly staff! Well done!

05/09/2025: A confirmation! The pici with amazing sauce and the tender tagliata. The fig cake was very good. I brought a Florentine friend here, and he thanked me for the excellent choice. There are also private rooms.

03/09/2025: We ate: ribollita, pici all'aglione, a 1.2kg Florentine steak, cantucci with vinsanto, and a bottle of their excellent Chianti. It couldn't be more Tuscan... Everything was delicious, in fact excellent! Very fair prices. Highly recommended.

03/08/2025: Booked 2 nights at Relais Le Macine di Stigliano with very short notice. It is only 20 minutes drive away from Siena, in a pretty and quiet location. The rooms are nicely renovated, spacious and quiet. The pool area is beautiful and very clean. Breakfast was surprisingly good and varied (not always the case with Italian places). Staff was great, was super helpful when asking for tips and recommendations about restaurants and what to see. Very recommended!

07/09/2025: The pizzas are very good, with a wide variety, large portions, and a more than reasonable price. The service is fast and good. The location isn't ideal because it's on a busy street, so eating outside can be a bit noisy. However, they do have a covered outdoor terrace for more peace and quiet.

27/08/2025: Just a superb dinner in Tuscany. The best we had in Italy. Beautiful setting too (we sat on the outdoor patio). The food was incredible. Highly recommend the pomodoro, pici all'aglione, tagliata and tiramisu. All fantastic. Can’t recommend enough!

04/09/2025: We had dinner and breakfast here at the finest spot in Radicofani. A lovely terrace on a small square in front of the church, with the option of sitting under the trees. The restaurant has a very limited menu, but it's definitely worth it. We started with antipasti of local charcuterie and cheese, followed by the cazzagnoli. An excellent choice. My traveling companion was celebrating a birthday, and the staff were happy to help serve a surprise dessert with a candle. Thanks everyone. For breakfast, they had delicious coffee and an assortment of pastries and cakes. Highly recommended!

31/08/2025: I must admit, the quality of the pasta served here was absolutely mind-blowing. Though the town itself is small and unassuming, this was, without a doubt, one of the best pasta dishes we had on our entire trip. Their 100% original handmade pasta was exceptional. I highly recommend trying it with either the aglione sauce or the cheese and pepper. This humble family trattoria, with its incredibly friendly atmosphere, is exactly what you hope to find when roaming the Tuscan region. The only downside is that you will definitely need to drive, as it is exceptionally challenging to make your way up here otherwise.

18/08/2025: A great place for dinner in Montepulciano! The atmosphere on the terrace and the excellent wine made our dinner special. The food was also excellent, as was the attentive and friendly service. Highly recommended!

15/08/2025: A wonderful mid-August lunch spent with the family. Possibly the best pici I've ever tasted, and the cured meats and cheeses were excellent too. Highly recommended.

23/08/2025: Very nice and well-organized place, very kind and attentive staff. Excellent location near the parking lot. The food was excellent (the only flaw was the appetizer of crostini and dips, which was really poor, and the bread wasn't great). The meat was delicious, the side dishes were tasty, and the wine was delicious. The pistachio parfait was highly recommended. I would gladly return.

31/08/2025: What a discovery! Small restaurant, but cozy both inside and on the terrace. And above all, so delicious! The recommendation in the Gambero Rosso Ristoranti guide was right: tradition and modern cuisine at its finest! More than worth the extra drive. And what's more, it's situated in a beautiful spot in the Chianto region.

27/08/2025: We stayed at Volpaia and went here for dinner on our first night. Amazing food and experience. Great Tuscan meal and very helpful and kind staff. Overall, fantastic meal and setting.

05/09/2025: DISAPPOINTING!!!!! Even though we booked in advance, we got there on time and they slammed the door in our face, telling us we'd still have to wait a bit 🤔. So why book if you're going to make me wait anyway???

03/09/2025: The service was very attentive and friendly; we felt at home and were served very quickly. The food was incredible—I'd even say it was the best pasta I've ever had. The meat with truffles was also perfect! If I could, I would eat here every day! The price/performance ratio is excellent!
