20/05/2026: We found this place through a recommendation from an Instagram reel. They treated us incredibly well, explained everything about the dishes, and the prices were very affordable. We loved it; everything was delicious and the service was excellent.
19/05/2026: Excellent value for money. An unpretentious place for lunch and dinner, but spacious and clean. Good food and generous portions. You serve yourself and put your tray away on special trolleys at the end of the meal. Free carafes of water are available. It's located on the first floor with stairs, so it's not suitable for wheelchair users. I ate well there and have been back. I recommend it 👍🏻

03/06/2026: Just outside Santa Croce is Trattoria DeBenci. A restaurant "like it used to be," with courteous and helpful staff and delicious, high-quality dishes. After years of trying the Tuscan crostini, I tried the livers chopped with a knife without the use of modern appliances. I continued with pennette alla Chiantigiana, and again, the flavor of diced meat cooked in Chianti wine. And finally, cantuccini and Vin Santo. Everything was delicious! I sincerely recommend it. I'll definitely be back. Thank you, Trattoria DeBenci, for a wonderful lunch!

11/05/2026: Following our meal last night, I wanted to share my experience. We arrived early without a reservation, but were still warmly welcomed.
The two pizzas we tried were delicious. Thin and crispy crust, at least 35 cm in diameter, and generously topped. The price was competitive, half the price of those on the French Riviera. The same goes for the desserts.
The service was quick and efficient. They also offer takeaway pizzas. They don't speak French, but the menu is in Italian and English.
I highly recommend it.

07/06/2026: We ate at many restaurants during our trip to Florence! We returned here, however, because the food was truly superb, and my son wanted to eat his first Florentine steak! I admit that, even though I'm not a fan of undercooked meat, here I had to change my mind because the raw ingredients were truly exceptional! The tiramisu, as well... the best I've ever had! I'll be back soon!

04/11/2025: Had an excellent meal with a group. The service was superb with the manager being incredibly hospitable and welcoming. She made sure we were looked after while we were waiting for a late arrival.
The food itself with superb, the arancini special antipasto and rabbit secondi were exceptional. All of the group agreed that this was the best restaurant we'd eaten at during our many visits to Certaldo.

31/05/2026: A charming, rustic restaurant. It's reached by a 500-meter dirt road. Local cuisine with generous portions and very fair prices. Service is young, friendly, and fast. Plenty of tables, including outdoor seating under the pergola or in a breezy courtyard with a beautiful view of the wooded hills.
28/05/2026: Beautiful place near the Sambuca Pass. The potato tortelli with ragù are delicious; you can tell they're homemade. I highly recommend making a reservation. Plenty of outdoor seating. Tamara is a legend.

We happened upon **Osteria Montellori** and it turned out to be a truly positive surprise!
From the first course to the last, the experience was excellent: the kitchen offers truly delicious dishes *in every sense*, satisfying both the eye and the palate. You can clearly taste the quality of the ingredients, the care taken in preparation, and the great passion behind the stove.
The welcoming atmosphere and attentive service made the evening even more enjoyable. When you eat this well, you only want to return as soon as possible.
We'll definitely be back! Highly recommended! 🙌🍷

A special thanks to Jessica, who with professionalism, kindness, and expertise guided us through our course selections, providing the best advice and making us feel welcomed throughout the meal.
Her attention to detail and her friendliness played a key role in making the lunch a memorable experience.

05/06/2026: The service was okay. The music was very (!) loud and you could hardly talk.
The food was okay. Nothing special though. The Antipasti were nice. Pricing seemed a bit weird though. Some Antipasti seem really worth it, others are rather small for the price. The Primi lacked in flavour and spices and felt rather „boring“. We had better food at other places in Florence. The wine was nice and the waiter gave us a good recommendation.

02/06/2026: The wait staff was so nice and gave us some great recommendations on food and drinks! Cocktails were 6 euros and a great value! We enjoyed the pesto gnocchi and the sausage calzone, as well as the cheese and pepper pasta (can’t remember actually name) to eat!
02/06/2026: Good food, friendly staff, high prices (but we're in Florence). I didn't like the fact that a waiter made fun of some customers by saying "they don't even know how many there are". I was alone and asked if it was possible to reduce the starter and make it for just one person, and he said no (it would have been enough to reduce the food, smart guy!) I don't think I'll be back.

31/10/2025: What a hidden gem of a shop! The Americano was amazing, and the owner even recommended the Affogato, which was fantastic. We also ordered freshly squeezed orange juice, which was incredibly fresh. The owner even helped us connect to the Wi-Fi – super friendly and nice! 😎👍🏻
