05/09/2025: We ended up eating here by mistake because we were going somewhere else, and it was a total mistake. I don't understand the good reviews; I guess it's just people who aren't used to eating well, to be honest. Of course, the other Spaniards in the restaurant made the same comments as us: The pasta was dry, the shrimp were frozen and on top of that, cold. Plus, the pasta tasted like lemon (it didn't say anything about lemon on the menu) and nothing like shrimp. We also ordered a caprese. The tomato was the €2 one from the supermarket, and the mozzarella was the same. We ordered two ichnusa, and the waitress told us she had them hot and to wait. After a while, she came back and said no, she didn't have them, and she'd give us others. Others were double the price and homemade. One of them was terrible, and the other was worse... In short, I wouldn't recommend it for anything in the world.

04/09/2025: I had the most incredible birthday experience a girl could ask for thanks to Polly (I hope I remembered your name right. If not PLEASE tell me so I can correct this!) and Company at BaccoMatto. Seriously, the food was amazing - I had the Prosciutto e melone to start, and the Tagliolini con gamberi, bisque e pomodorini gialli confit as my entree. Everyone was so welcoming and friendly, and they were just so thoughtful - I even got a birthday surprise with my dessert. I can't wait to come back and visit, just to pop in and try more things on the menu, and I promise my Italian will be much better! There's no way I can thank you enough for such a wonderful birthday dinner (it was August 19th, I'm super late writing this. So sorry!). I flew to Firenze on a whim and it was one of the best decisions I ever made. Many thanks to you ALL for being a huge part of what made my trip so special. For real: Y'all are amazing. I wish I could give you 10 stars!

31/08/2025: Amazing pizza!! It was pretty quiet here for dinner, we sat outside and ordered pizza and drinks - service and food were great! If you’re in the area be sure to check it out, won’t disappoint!!

22/08/2025: Just WOW - After one week in Florence we discovered the restaurant during our last night and we were sad as we would have liked to come back. The food was exceptional, not the typic dishes one finds at the other 99% of restaurants in Florence, but with a (delicious) twist. I had the tuna steak (excellent recommendation from the waiter) and my partner had the tagliatelini with orange sauce. Both of these are must have. The waiter also created such a wonderful experience for us, we thoroughly enjoyed our evening and now we look forward to our return in Florence. A true gem!

25/07/2025: Edit: I ordered again, and the same thing happened, so I called to discuss. We figured out that when you order with a delivery app, the riders have to have gluten-free foods wrapped in plastic film to prevent cross-contamination; the humidity makes the toppings slide off the pizza. So, Roberto, not only made me a new pizza, but he personally delivered it in his car! How wonderful, give Roberto a raise! I'm very happy, thanks Roberto 🍕 Good food, and if you eat at a restaurant, the gluten-free pizza is very good. But there's a problem with gluten-free pizza on delivery. Every time my pizza arrives completely decomposed, all the ingredients don't fit on the pizza, and it's a disaster. On the other hand, my partner's regular pizza never happens. It's strange, I understand, and also a problem with transportation, but it's not without reason that only the gluten-free pizza arrives like this and the others don't.

16/07/2025: I was in this very very nice place yesterday, my partner and I arrived late but they were still very kind and excellent in the whole service, we ate a platter of mussels with pepper and for the second course a pizza and the tuna made very very well! Compliments to everyone both for the service and for the dishes (and thanks again for the limoncello offered and the small discount ❤️) I will very very willingly come again!

10/08/2025: After a long walk to get pizza for dinner yesterday, Saturday, it was closed! And Google said "Open." What a disappointment!

05/08/2025: The pizza dough is frozen, the sides are inedible, the service is terrible and messy. I wish I could give it 0 stars; They have taken a frozen, preshaped pizza right in front of me out of their fridge.

29/07/2025: Such a breathtaking place! Wow from arrival to departure. The staff is genuinely amazing. Always helpful and friendly. Rooms were great and impeccable - great standard. A beautiful kitten was playful and sweet. And of course the wine - every sip, every bottle was delicious!

10/08/2025: A really nice wine tasting experience. The host will take his time explain the origin and story behind each wine which is a nice touch. You will get to sample three different wine from the local region. Our party went with a white flight and a red flight.

06/07/2025: A small restaurant with a special family charm. Family-run, the mother and daughter serve you, and the father cooks. The food couldn't be more home-cooked and of excellent quality. Everything we ordered was 5-star quality and at a super-affordable price compared to other downtown restaurants. It's totally worth it.

10/06/2025: If you want to have lunch at Calandrino you have to go. I recommend it, it has abundant and tasty dishes.

17/08/2025: Visited by relatives for a mid-August lunch with a fixed seafood menu. The food was good and varied, although no one course was particularly memorable. The service was courteous and professional. Returning to the tables to re-order leftover dishes always leaves a lasting impression. A few minor omissions and a tip: although it arrived promptly upon request, lemon should always be on the table with fish, as should tongs and forks for enjoying the shellfish. Wet wipes would also have been appreciated (but I admit I didn't ask the staff for either tongs or wipes...). Unfortunately, as a teetotaler and lover of bitter hops, I have to give this restaurant my very own star for not stocking every commercially available non-alcoholic beer. I don't insist on quantity or variety (but if you offer it, maybe a driver will try it...), but stocking six bottles of 0% beer (€7 at Coop...) of any commercial brand doesn't, I don't think, ruin a restaurant if they're not consumed by the expiration date. Having finished my usual rant on non-alcoholic beer, in conclusion, a restaurant that left me with a good memory, both culinary and convivial, and one to which I would and will return on occasion.

12/08/2025: This restaurant is a 5 star expirence from start to finish. First off, the atmosphere is absolutely beautiful with romantic lighting and posters all over the walls. The waiters are so professional and kind and the food - it will be the best meal you eat in florence. The steak is so tender with a perfectly seared exterior. The sides of cannelloni beans and mashed potatoes are just divine. This is good food done right! I highly recommend dining here if looking for an upscale experience in Florence for the best steak in the city!

28/08/2025: We had a fantastic evening at Il Granaio. We were incredibly lucky (without a reservation - I recommend to book a table) to get the last available table — which ended up giving us the best night of our entire trip to Italy. The food was excellent and of very high quality. What truly made the evening special were the amazing and friendly waiters. They fulfilled all our wishes and gave us outstanding wine recommendations. The "Ferrari of red wines" (as Salvatore called it) was one of the best wines I’ve ever tasted. The waiters created a wonderful atmosphere with singing along to the Italian music — it added so much joy to the experience. After dinner, we even received some great tips and recommendations for Florence. Huge thanks to Salvatore, Claudio, and Claid (sorry if I misspelled your names) for an unforgettable evening! Unfortunately, we only discovered this place on our last night in Florence — otherwise, we would’ve come back several times. We’re already looking forward to dining here again on our next visit to Florence.
