We had lunch at this restaurant and enjoyed it very much. Excellent welcome as well as the service. Tasty and refined dishes. The girl who served us was very kind and suggested we eat in the sheltered outdoor area, where you can enjoy a beautiful view. Even though it was November, it was really pleasant to eat outdoors. Highly recommended!

Review ristorante Il Castello, Certaldo Alto, Fi "Highly Recommended" When you leave the street and walk through the arch into Ristorante Il Castello you are entering an enchanted garden beautifully decorated with flowers, plants, shubs and trees of all shapes and sizes. Tables are carefully placed around a large fountain that provides the mesmerising sound of the play of water, creating a relaxing space in which to enjoy a delicious meal. These are the dishes that I have tried over several visits to the restaurant: Panzanella croccant Crunchy Tuscany bread salad with season tomatoes and Certaldo onion Tagliere di salumi di cinta senese “Renieri” Platter of cold cuts of local “Cinta Senese” pork Pici fatti in casa all’ragù di anatra Pici (thick spaghetti) with duck ragù Risotto con zucchine in fiore Risotto with courgette in flower Tagliata di controfiletto di manzo alla griglia con rosmarino Grilled sliced beef sirloin with rosemary and green pepper Guancia di manzo c.b.t su crema di patate e cavolo nero Beef cheek cooked in low temperature, celeriac and potatoes, black cabbage Ingredients of the highest quality prepared with care and attention to detail. The staff that are both friendly and capable. I would highly recommend putting aside the time to have lunch or dinner at this beautiful place.

Ik kan alleen wat zeggen over het restaurant. Wij hebben hier ongelovelijk genoten van de lunch en avondeten. Voor ons is dit wel ons lievelings restaurant. Wij komen hier iedere vakantie een aantal keer. De tafels buiten staan prettig ruim opgesteld en er zijn altijd wel tafels in de schaduw. De bediening is van vriendelijk tot formeel. Zover ik het kan bepalen van in opleiding tot professioneel. Wij hebben ondertussen wel een voorkeur als het gaat om bediening. De gastvrouw, zij is zeer professioneel, heeft alles in de gaten wat er in het restaurant gebeurt. Zeer gastvrij en vriendelijk, spreekt goed Engels en zelfs een beetje Nederlands. Zij geeft goed uitleg over wat er aan eten en drinken opgediend wordt. De keuken maakt de gerechten met zeer veel passie en de presentatie is top. Een bezoek aan het hotel gaat zeker een keer gebeuren.

stupendo locale, cibo ottimo e naturalmente prezzo sopra la media. Non esiste un vino della casa o prendi un calice o una bottiglia. Il costo minimo di una bottiglia è 18,00 euro e qui la prossima volta bevo acqua.

Vista spettacolare e servizio gentile e professionale. Il cibo era squisito: sformatino ottimo, pappardelle al ragù buone, e il risotto alle zucchine con i fiori anche. In più come antipasto o tra un piatto e l'altro ci hanno portato dei crostini buonissimi. Il personale gentilissimo, in particolare Giovanni, con noi, è stato molto bravo e disponibile. La vista è superlativa e la location è elegante ma accogliente, nel cortile del castello con pozzo e b la fontana. Salendo dei gradini all' esterno del ristorante si può accedere ad una terrazza da cui si possono vedere le colline e i paesi vicini.

Truly beautiful courtyard setting, flawless cooking and genuinely warm service. This was a highlight of our holiday and I cannot recommend it highly enough.
