21/08/2025: It's like getting ripped off for €50-70 per person unless you opt for the meatballs entree. The price range is definitely not €20-30, not even for pasta with meatballs! Basic bistro atmosphere, with bistro dishes, so the portions are small. Presentation: nothing special. Good dishes, made with just a few, definitely high-quality ingredients and pre-cooked, making everything simple, easy to assemble, and easy to take out (if you let the food breathe between courses... thanks), so they absolutely don't justify an appetizer over €15 or a basic fish entree for €20. The super-polite owner offers gin and tonic regardless of the dishes, as he has his own line... the gin and tonic is served in small, narrow tumblers with three large ice cubes, something I've never seen anywhere else. More than anything else, the quantity of drinks is almost nothing... not to mention the difficulty in drinking them. Service: young, inexperienced staff. If the prices had been lower or there had been more attention to quantity-to-presentation ratio, I would have given it a 4 or 5 star rating. For €60 a head, there are plenty of places to eat with a more adequate quality-service-quantity ratio. Although between Santa Caterina and Santa Maria al Bagno, there's probably no one quite up to par.

20/08/2025: Larilò is a very cozy little restaurant in Santa Caterina. The owner is a wonderful host, very patient and friendly. We went with family and friends for dinner. The menu is primarily seafood-based. We opted for pasta with fish and marinated tuna, and the kids had pasta with tomato sauce. Everything was delicious. I recommend it.

05/08/2025: I was able to travel to Italy. I'm a Japanese person living in Europe. The staff were all friendly, service-minded, and kind. The food was delicious and we ate a lot. They also provided takeout. I had an unforgettable and fun time with my friends. Thank you very much 🍝💐

03/08/2025: What a spectacular dinner! We ordered breaded anchovies, marinated anchovies, and peppered mussels... delicious! But the real surprise came later with the sea urchin linguine with shrimp tartare... I've never had such good sea urchin linguine. The staff were welcoming, friendly, and knowledgeable. Congratulations! The bill was definitely less than I expected.

19/08/2025: Excellent, fresh food, beautiful, and well-kept surroundings. It's a shame one of the waitresses suggested adding truffle to my pasta but didn't mention the €4 surcharge, which I saw at the end of the bill. Of course, we mentioned the issue at the cashier, and the waitress refunded us and apologized, even though she took the €10 note from my hand and gave me €4. After all, we'll be back to try the pizza.

14/08/2025: Extremely long wait times....we found ourselves at a table of 6, 3 with plates and 3 without, so 3 ate and 3 didn't! Also, since it was our birthday, we had asked for dessert and after 20 minutes it didn't arrive so we decided to leave the place and go eat dessert somewhere else. Although I must say that they apologized profusely, unfortunately I can't say I had a good experience. I wouldn't go back.

15/06/2025: A very nice discovery after stopping in 2 other restaurants that didn't "inspire" us...and here everything was perfect. The waitress of Norwegian origin was very professional and pleasant and took the time to speak a little French, the waiter was discreet but full of humor and very professional too. The boss, smiling, came to ask us at the end if everything had gone well. The dishes were all as delicious as each other, the atmosphere, the music, the setting...everything was great! All for great value for money. We recommend 100%.

20/08/2025: A beautiful, serene, and quaint place, with knowledgeable, attentive, friendly, and approachable staff. The cuisine is superb and varied, and the staff knows how to best recommend both on- and off-menu options. The ingredients are fresh and of excellent quality. Highly recommended!

11/08/2025: After many years of frequenting this place in the summer, I have to say with bitterness that the pizza is no longer what it used to be, the dough is much thinner and as soon as it cools down a little it becomes hard to cut and breaks, not much tomato, I don't know maybe they changed the pizza chef, who knows, the ingredients are always of quality

29/07/2025: Questo posto é perfetto per una serata in famiglia o in coppia. Lo chef propone un pescato freschissimo. I piatti sono una esplosione di gusto, con abbinamenti ricercati e mai banali attraverso l’utilizzo di materie prime particolari. Il servizio é anch’esso eccellente, tempi ottimi e ragazze gentilissime e disponibili.

11/08/2025: I spent a pleasant evening at this restaurant on Corso Roma, right in the center of Gallipoli. The atmosphere is modern, understated, and not at all noisy. I chose to sit on the terrace and enjoyed excellent pizzas, definitely among the best I've ever eaten. I recommend the Neapolitan-style ones, but you can also choose the thin, crispy ones. The service is provided by wonderful, attentive, and efficient young men and women. Compliments to all the staff.

31/07/2025: Even if you searched hard, you couldn't find a single negative. I found the staff welcoming, kind, friendly, and professional. The quality of the food deserves more stars; everything is perfect, delicious, and top-notch. My compliments, truly. It's a shame we're so far away, otherwise I would have become a regular.

09/07/2025: Tradition, authenticity, and spontaneity! Trattoria Iolanda is the pinnacle of home-style Salento cuisine. The restaurant is authentic, rustic, and family-friendly, the staff is friendly and genuine, and the menu embodies traditional, high-quality cuisine. The fried pasta appetizer is highly recommended, as is the fresh homemade pasta with sauce and horse meat (and coming from a Catania native who grew up eating horse meat, you can trust me), as are the meat-based main courses and the excellent pasticciotto cake. The price is truly superb! (Just over €35 per person for an appetizer, a first course, a meat-based main course, a side dish, dessert, wine, and water. Where can you find such low prices for such high quality these days?) In short: wonderful atmosphere, excellent menu, super prices... What more can I say? Well, the poem posted in the room speaks the truth: "When you get up because you have to leave, I swear, you do it with great longing!" Highly recommended!

The menu is traditional, with very reasonable prices, excellent quality, and generous portions. The owner is welcoming and friendly. Highly recommended.
