19/02/2024: We had the pleasure of eating excellent meat cooked to perfection, rare as we like it, very tasty and at honest prices! The scottona entrecôte was superb as was my husband's Florentine steak. Very tender, juicy, tasty meat...in short, really delicious! So much so that my husband did an encore! It was a great experience, served by the very kind and friendly Mirella, as well as wife of the butcher and chef Enzo, owners of this butcher/grill shop, in a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere! What can I say, we spent a beautiful and enjoyable evening characterized by the joviality and courtesy of the owners who made us feel almost at home with the way they immediately put you at ease and always smile between a delicious bite and a chat. Highly recommended! Merci pour tout! À plus 😉

27/01/2024: Ordering a slice of Angus rocket and medium-cooked parmesan with home delivery when you are not local but are guests of a rehabilitation facility without any suggestions is like playing roulette and hoping for the right number. And the right number came out, punctual service, quality cut, more than generous portion, cooked just right, tasty, tender and still hot to taste. Not much to say, the winning number cannot be changed, ...congratulations, see you next episode.

15/03/2024: Frequento questo locale da svariati anni. Ci sono tornata con la famiglia ma siamo rimasti delusi dalle pizze. Non sono più come prima. Adesso sembrano delle banali pizze,non hanno più nulla di napoletano. L'unica nota positiva è il ripieno abbondante ma l'impasto non è degno di nota. Non era presente neanche Ciro,il proprietario, ma solo due pizzaioli stranieri e il mitico Agostino(sempre gentile e simpatico). Prezzi aumentati

11/03/2024: Davvero molto buono, mi è piaciuto e c'è stata un ottimo pranzo. È stata un l'esperienza culinaria incredibile: eravamo in 5: abbiamo preso un antipasto misto ciascuno e in più io ho mangiato una selezione di tartare ottime. L'antipasto consisteva in dei piccoli tortini di gamberi e verdure; polpo alla catalana; piccoli souffle di patate; parmigiana di mare; gamberi in tempura ricoperti da noccioline e qualcos'altro che non ricordo. Poi io ho preso un piatto di spaghetti al nero di seppia con pomodorini e colatura di alici (davvero squisiti, uno dei migliori piatti di pasta che abbia mai mangiato), e come secondo piatto una tagliata di tonno scottata con rucola, pomodorini e grana (FENOMENALE). In più abbiamo preso un gelato alla vaniglia per rinfrescarci e direi anche quello anche se semplice comunque artigianale ed ottimo

05/09/2023: This is a very small local gem. If you are lucky enough to visit Castro, make sure to stop by and enjoy the fantastic home cooked food. We tried the parmigiana (the real one, without the Mozzarella but with Parmesan) and it was the most delicious one we ever had. The owners are lovely and create this amazing, typical food at incredible prices. Make sure to try the Parmigiana, the Lasagne or the Polpette al Pomodoro. There are vegetarian and vegan choices. We will be back for sure! Be aware that the shop is open from April to mid-September. Linda and Fabio

19/03/2024: First experience at the Fienile under the advice of a friend, the location is very beautiful, refined despite being rustic and very well looked after. The gourmet cuisine was really good, everything was good, from the first courses to the dessert, and the portions were right. We were welcomed by Miriana, a delightful and kind person who made us feel at home! Highly recommended!

09/09/2023: I think I can say without a shadow of a doubt that it is the best ice cream shop in Otranto, all the flavors are delicious, but the basil one in particular is SPECTACULAR! Good good good! Very kind staff not to mention the owner who is also very kind and friendly.

08/01/2024: What about the Alabama pastry shop... it is one of the most renowned pastry shops I know. You can see that each dessert is carefully prepared not only for presentation but also for taste. Giuseppe and Giovanni are truly unbeatable in their work and are ready to satisfy every request of their customers. I highly recommend!

12/03/2024: Locale tranquillo e molto frequentato anche in giorni infrasettimanali, stile essenziale e raffinato, personale molto cortese e aperto a qualsiasi richiesta o variazione sul menu, titolare sempre presente tra i tavoli per conversare e chiedere riscontri, servizio rapido. Tanto premesso purtroppo la pizza per alcuni ospiti, me compres*, è stata abbastanza indigesta e ha fatto una gran sete durante tutta la notte, nonostante al momento della degustazione fosse davvero ottima e con ingredienti freschi. Dolci top.

31/03/2024: Had lunch in this restaurant on Easter Sunday, with an à la carte menu. Finely prepared dishes, with excellent quality fish: Tuna in a phyllo crust, cod with artichokes, grilled cuttlefish and sweet and sour chicory tips, all super good. The starters are rich and excellent. We had two first courses: spaghetti with sea urchins and linguine with sardines... everything was mouth-watering. We didn't order anything else because we were full. The service is fast, punctual and professional. The place is particular, traditional and well-kept. Compliments to Tina, the chef. Eating with her is always a guarantee. To order he also prepares tajedda (or tiella) which is delicious. We will definitely return to the Borghetto.

22/03/2024: Following a visit to this restaurant, in low season! We did not book for your information! I saw the Google reviews, which made us want to find out! 2 rooms.. one with fireplace and another. We were put alone in the second room (alone in the world, really apart from the Italian population 😂) I see an employee passing by with a “Frozen Fish” bin at the base, it’s a catering restaurant (we’re 10km from the sea, in short) The pompom… it’s dessert! We ask for 2 tiramisu!! Okay 👍🏻 At first glance, we wonder why there is liquid cream.. ultimately we quickly understood.. that it was frozen and put in the microwave! It was tiramisu ice cream!!! 🥵🥵 I ask the waitress (maybe the boss), she explains to me that it is made in the kitchen but “mascarpone doesn’t keep” so I have to freeze it! Anyway... I don't recommend this restaurant! We are in Italy.. I really imagined eating a good fresh tiramisu.. Déeeeeçuuuuu 😰 I think fish and tiramisu are foods that cannot be kept 🤭
