02/10/2025: It was nice to come back. I had been shunning it for years due to the rudeness of the previous owner. Now that it's under new ownership, it's a whole different story. The breakfasts and coffee were excellent. Highly recommended.

16/09/2025: Returned to this place after 30 years. Everything has remained the same. The appetizers were good, expensive but with no indication of the ingredients. The roast beef was excellent. The service was beyond words! It was a Friday night, prime time, so not even peak time.

29/07/2025: Siamo stati in questo ristorante a cena con tutta la famiglia. È stata una meravigliosa scoperta. I camerieri gentilissimi e simpatici ci hanno accolti con limonata fresca. Dopo un gustoso amuse bouche, abbiamo gustato diversi piatti a base di pesce tutti abbondanti e ricercati. Ci ha sorpreso la quantità di pesce fresco presente in tutte le portate. Dall' antipasto al dolce è stata un' esperienza culinaria memorabile.

25/07/2025: Ieri, io e mia moglie, siamo andati a cenare, in codesto rinomato ristorante. Abbiamo ordinato due fritture Senza spine, 19,00 euro cadauno due contorni, uno di patate e l'altro misto di broccoli carciofi carote ecc. Un'acqua minerale naturale e un calice di vino rosato. Le fritture 19,00 euro cadauno, nella norma, senza infamia e Senza lode, il vino non particolare 7,00 un calice, acqua panna 3,00. Coperto 6,00. I contorni, rifiutati in quanto non mangiabili, pertanto la signora alla cassa , ha avuto l'onestà di non conteggiarli. Costo finale 54,00. Delusione, in base alle recensioni, ci saremmo aspettati altro. Peccato,forse era una serata storta, oppure ognuno ha il proprio livello.

Ma lo staff di Masseria Scagnito ha invece confermato una grande professionalità e cortesia. Servizio rapido, efficiente e cortese, a corollario di una cucina davvero ben fatta. 24/07/2025: Sono tornato alla Masseria Scagnito per la seconda volta in un mese e, ancora una volta, si è confermata un posto magico. Un angolo di autentica bellezza dove ogni dettaglio è curato con passione. Il menù si distingue per la qualità delle materie prime e la bontà dei piatti, una cucina che sa esaltare i sapori veri della tradizione senza mai essere banale. Un plauso speciale va ai ragazzi in sala: gentili, attenti e competenti, riescono a farti sentire sempre accolto con professionalità e calore. E poi c’è Chiara, la vera anima della Masseria, il suo sorriso coinvolgente e la sua innata capacità di far sentire ogni ospite a casa rendono l’esperienza ancora più speciale. Un luogo in cui tornare e ritornare, ogni volta con la certezza di vivere momenti autentici e indimenticabili.

The appetizers were excellent, carefully crafted and full of flavor, but the dish that won us over was the cacio e pepe: creamy, flavorful, and made just right. You can taste the quality of the ingredients and the craftsmanship of those who love authentic cuisine. Friendly service, a welcoming atmosphere, and the price was more than fair. A restaurant definitely worth trying 👏🍝

05/05/2025: Everything is terrible, the food first of all. AVOID IT and you will have spent your money well. Fasting is better, trust me!!!!! I'm now reading the owner's response, but I reiterate the point already written: one of the worst places we have been to, with very poor quality food and moreover cooked by non-chefs.

03/03/2025: A top-rated osteria in Salento. A varied menu and the spartan style typical of a traditional osteria. The current owner and host, Nicola, offers an excellent welcome.

12/10/2025: We were staying at a hotel nearby and after some Google searches, we decided on da Roberta. It was a good choice. What appealed was the Pinsa Romana. It's an oval shaped pizza-like food but it is different. Roberta is a certified maker of them. Wife and I spilt one and really enjoyed it. The crust is amazing and the variety of toppings is diverse. We then finished with Salento peninsula pasta with a wonderful creamy tomato sauce. Paired with a quaffable regional red wine and you have a fine repast.
