08/08/2024: We spent a week from 28/07 to 04/08 with our family (2 adults, 2 children and a dog). Already upon arrival we realize that we are not in front of the usual "village" but we are in front of a well-kept resort located in a suggestive area. The welcome at the reception was immediately extraordinary: fruit juices, aperitifs, rustic dishes and desserts of all kinds. Professionalism and friendliness... here is their presentation. We were immediately given the opportunity to use the beach service (12pm) and the swimming pool, we arrived with lunch (agreed upon when booking) and were amazed by the service, the quality of the food and the accuracy with which each staff member takes care of details. To go to the seaside we turn to Luigi from the shuttle service: a humanly surprising person, helpful and absolutely very nice... the children loved him right away. We arrive at the seaside and I think it's not me who has to describe it in the review (simply wonderful), but I can certainly talk about the lido: we find the same friendliness at the reception at the Fontanelle lido... very clean, organized and absolutely tidy beach. We spend the following 6 days managing to be amazed, day after day, more: well they managed to increase the level... always and anyway. Breakfast, lunch, dinner absolutely deserving of the 4 stars Non-intrusive animation, extremely respectful and present... adored by both us adults and children. Finally, I would like to add some things and make some clarifications: I write this review with all the love possible and from the heart: when you spend your holidays in a place where you would return the following day watching your children cry because they are sorry to leave it... you achieved the maximum result and thanks go to the family who made all this possible; Angelica takes care of the relationship with customers and is always present like her brother who you find him at the service, you find him in the kitchen and you suddenly find him starting another shuttle so we don't have to wait for Luigi's new trip... Their mother... cappuccinos, cooking, room service... A family that puts their face, work first... and all the passion that, with excellent results, they manage to transmit to all their collaborators who... seem like a single family... what to add? CHAPEAU

04/08/2024: Excellent experience overall, top owners, relaxing and fun week, the highlight was the pizzica evening, they managed to make an 83 year old gentleman dance in flip flops. Congratulations I will definitely be back. Gerard

11/08/2024: Come negli anni scorsi, sono tornato in questo buon ristorante. Ottime la tartare di ombrina/ricciola e la pasta mista col pesce, buona la purea di fave e cicoria. Troppo salato lo spiedino di maiale ripieno. Porzioni più piccole degli anni scorsi (anche così si contengono i costi?): vedi le due foto delle tartare, una più generosa del 2023, come negli anni precedenti, ed una più piccola del 2024. Personale gentile ed efficiente, bagno pulito e fornito di tutto. Ci ritornerò.

21/08/2024: Let me start by saying that the owner was very kind and helpful, the staff was not very attentive and the food was inedible.

12/08/2024: This place is suitable for everyone, whether alone, as a couple or with family and friends - everyone can find space here. The extensive menu offers something for everyone, whether vegetarian, seafood, meat and pizza. Everything is recommended. The staff tries very hard to accommodate all customers when there is a lot of traffic.

11/08/2024: So to recap: we call to book a table for 2 asking if it is possible to have a round pizza instead of by the meter as one of us is lactose intolerant, and we are told yes. Once we arrived we were told that this was not possible and that therefore there were 2 alternatives: either that I did not take the pizza (so they had to decide what I should eat) or that I, to avoid risks of contamination, had to take the pizza with lactose-free mozzarella despite not being intolerant. I was also told that they didn't have much round pizza dough, it's a shame that as I finished eating I saw one being brought to the table next to mine!!!! Moral of the story, 6 euros of lactose-free mozzarella, forced to eat it, I repeat, even though I was not intolerant and paying a shameful surcharge, one of the flavors of the pizzas was wrong, good but burnt pizzas. All topped off by an arrogant, rude waiter (the adult one, the only adult) who was in awe even at the table of 10 people next to mine, who like me in the end out of desperation called another waiter for the order .

04/08/2024: Negative experience, Castro is a splendid place, but unfortunately I stumbled upon this structure to forget, in fact after only 2 days I left, the expectations described were not respected, and not resolved with seriousness and professionalism by the property, I am not going to list the negative details, a message would not be enough, I strongly advise against it

02/08/2024: Meraviglioso! Non conoscevamo il posto e prima siamo andati al ristorante lì accanto, La Torre. Siamo stati trattati così male che abbiamo deciso di andarcene. Siamo andati all'Elisir ed è stata la cosa migliore che ci sia capitata. Personale meraviglioso e accogliente, cibo delizioso e prezzi molto onesti!

13/07/2024: Il Locale oltre ad essere un bar è un ristorante eccellente. Un Servizio veloce e attento alle esigenze del cliente, con uno staff ben preparato e pronto a delucidare il cliente su qualsiasi cosa. Un prezzo esiguo rispetto alla quantità e alla qualità delle numerose portate disponibili all'interno del menù, tralasciando le pietanze giornaliere che il locale offre al di fuori di quest ultimo. Il locale, facilmente trovabile sulla strada principale, è molto accogliente e piacevole. Lo staff offre oltre ai numerosi primi, i secondi divisi tra carne e pesce, e i vari contorni e gli antipasti, tra i dolci offre anche una buona selezione di gelati freschi della casa. La sezione enoteca è composta da tutto quello che il cliente può volere, i vini bianchi, rossi, rosati e gli amari rendono questa degustazione ancora migliore e particolare dato che il locale è provvisto anche di alcolici più ricercati. Anche per i più giovani o i non amanti degli alcolici le bevante non mancano. Veramente un ottima esperienza.

14/08/2024: I pointed out that I had a fish allergy and they treated me very well, trying to be as careful as possible. I had a pizza and it was very good, while my boyfriend had a very good first and second course of fish. We had a great time and above all the staff were very friendly, welcoming and kind.

11/08/2024: Never book in this pizzeria, because they had booked for 9pm when we arrived and there was no room, they made us sit at 10.30pm even though they were wrong, I wanted reason by responding in an arrogant way!! After 1 hour sitting so at 11.30pm with 2 small children the pizzas arrived...BAD!! AND I STOP HERE!! HORRIBLE PLACE

09/08/2024: Nel complesso devo dire che mi sarei aspettato qualcosa di meglio, sia nel cibo che nel servizio. Ha salvato il tutto un secondo di carne molto buona.

13/08/2024: Wonderful food and wine and lovely ambience in the Al fresco seating. Elevated traditional/typical Lecce dishes. 6:30-7:30 is aperitivo and dinner starts at 7:30. Our server was so friendly and helpful, he gave us a bunch of recommendations for each course (can’t remember his name but he was from Martina Franca). Recommended!

11/07/2024: Très bonne adresse recommandée par la propriétaire de notre agriturismo. Excellent accueil. Cadre magnifique. Parfait pour un dîner en amoureux. L’occasion de goûter les plats typiques des Pouilles et du Salento. Attention : portions généreuses ! 😉

01/07/2024: nascosto in mezzo agli ulivi, ma consigliato da conoscenti ci siamo stati e trovati benissimo sia dal punto di vista degli alimenti che dal modo di porsi da parte del personale.

09/08/2024: I came to lecce for many reasons, one being my absolutely adoration for Italian cuisine. I stumbled across this restaurant exited to eat with my friend a risotto. Risottos are my favourite, I have them everywhere, all over the world and especially when in Italy. We arrived and ordered a Caprese salad to share. That began as a disappointment. It arrived in a terrible bowl and we were not given sharing plates therefore were both climbing on top of each other to get to our food. When the main arrived, at first, we burst out laughing. It was luke warm and so soggy! Also had a yellow colour to it, which I later find out it dyed to make it look like it has a more expensive ingredient inside. We then complained and the manager came over and said it’s impossible that it doesn’t taste good and had a smirk on his face with the intention of ridiculing us. I asked to swap it for something else, he refused, shaking his head and laughing. Instead grabbed a fork and went to go try it. I then said I was definetly not paying for it after he’s dipped his fork in my food and then tried it himself. He refused again to take it off the bill. After 20 minutes, he came back with the revised bill and my friend who had wine in her glass was finishing off her drink, when he went to grab it off her. Of course, the aggression of his manhandling caused it to smash. He then went to go strike my friend. This was the last straw. His colleague grabbed his arm and we left. This was my worst experience ever at a restaurant.

29/08/2024: Everyone talked to me about casa Martino, unfortunately they had been there two years before, yes because the management has changed and forget about casa Tu martino what was it called before! Cold appetizers, parmigiana from the fridge, small appetizers and not worthy of the price on the menu. The dirty starter plates were cleared for us when the first courses were ready, oh yes the first courses...sitting at the table from 9.35pm, they were served at 10.50pm with apologies for goodness' sake, but together with the wine which arrived at mid evening. Completely forgotten in a corner looking for the non-existent service, we thought they had all fled to who knows where. The tables that arrived after us ate first, we couldn't understand anything. We arrive at the highlight of the evening because it was my birthday, I choose a bottle of sparkling wine, I am told after ten minutes that there is none, I am offered another without looking on the menu but trusting the waiter who had the face of most expensive bottle and that's okay it was my birthday! I remove the paper, unscrew the wrapping on the cap and the waiter arrives saying sorry, it's the wrong bottle, wait and takes it out of my hands, preventing me from understanding anything but above all while I was celebrating my birthday at midnight. The only appreciation goes to the fact that they made at least the dog drink. For the rest, no apologies from the supposed manager or manager but only from waiters who were certainly busy for the day, indeed a very high bill for the quantity of dishes, hot bottle of sparkling wine, I am shyly given a discount voucher and with the justification this can be spend in other restaurants in the group. Thank you, if this is the treatment I will never return.

01/09/2024: Nice pizzeria restaurant in the historic center of Felline, tables both outside and on the terrace above, really special. The pizzas are not bad.

21/08/2024: highly inadvisable. the place is very nice inside, if it weren't for the management by the staff. as soon as we arrived we asked if there was room for 3 people and we were told to go and see if there was a table available; once we found the table we asked for a chair (one was missing), which after a while we had to go and look for ourselves because it wasn't brought to us. the order was taken from us after half an hour of waiting and after several reminders on our part. once the order was taken, drinks were brought to us but the pizzas were not seen. after half an hour of waiting we got up and left, leaving €2 on the table, at least for the water that had been brought to us.
