19/08/2024: Agriturismo Santa Chiara: A Slice of Paradise in Puglia Agriturismo Santa Chiara is an absolute gem! From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the property's enchanting beauty. Nestled amidst lush olive groves and vineyards, it's the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle. Our room was impeccably clean, spacious, and tastefully decorated. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring we slept soundly every night. We loved waking up to the sounds of nature and enjoying our morning coffee on the private patio. The pool area was an oasis of tranquility. The staff were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. The food was simply divine, showcasing the best of Puglia's culinary traditions. We especially enjoyed the fresh, locally sourced ingredients and homemade pasta. The staff and location was incredibly kid friendly. Our three year old daughter loved the pool, shopping in Gallipoli and exploring the local beaches. We can't wait to return to Agriturismo Santa Chiara and experience this magical place again. Highly recommended!

01/08/2024: Ci siamo fermati a cena in questo locale molto colorato al centro di Lecce. Consigliato il menù Salento che per soli 22 euro ti offre la scelta tra un primo e un secondo della cucina tipica salentina, insalata, 1/4 di vino e acqua. Sotto consiglio del cameriere per i bambini abbiamo preso una fettina di capocollo arrosto, ottima scelta in quanto la carne era buonissima e tenerissima. Cibo buono e porzioni abbondanti. Personale disponibile e gentile. Buon rapporto qualità prezzo.

16/08/2024: We ate really well, excellent fresh fish first course, delicious grilled swordfish. We were a little cramped at the table but the quality of the products goes beyond that.

23/08/2024: In addition to the beautiful garten, the service was exceptional. We were there last Friday with our son and the young waiter who spoke English took great care of us and you really feel welcome. Great pasta and the beef meat dish was a very large portion. Suggest to come earlier on a weekend as I noticed the service can get a bit overwhelmed when it gets more crowded later in the evening.

19/08/2024: Helpful and kind but disorganized staff: they asked us whether the second one had arrived or not. Let's move on to the food: we ordered three complete menus for 14 euros, instead of water I asked for a house wine, a primitivo. Definitely table wine is fine, good. The first Lecce macaroni I would say was decent... the bread brought was reheated puccia while the second sausages were very good. For a good value lunch worth a try

01/08/2024: The shepherd's corner is a restaurant with Sardinian nuances with an adjoining pizzeria. The fried foods are generous in quantity, the grilled vegetables with cheese are good. Grilled meat of sufficient quality as well as the pizza although generously stuffed. Average prices and welcoming service.

17/08/2024: Very nice and suggestive place in the historic center.. Good starters, overall mediocre cuisine with very slow service.. we waited an hour and a half before being served.. to end up in the kitchen it seemed like knives were flying... the pseudo chef, instead of cooking, kept threatening not to show up for work anymore, railing loudly and in a very colorful way all evening against a colleague in the kitchen... I thought I was part of the television series 'Nightmare Kitchens'

02/09/2024: Mi piacerebbe poter mettere 5 stelle a questa trattoria, ma c'è una grossa pecca, che proprio non riesco a giustificare! Il giardino è incantevole, il cameriere simpaticissimo e competente, i primi eccellenti (in particolare le caramelle e gli spaghettoni cacio e pepe... torno apposta in questo posto ogni anno), prezzo di una bottiglia di vino nella media della zona .... ma ...gli antipasti? 15 euro per avere una coppettina di cipolle in agrodolce, una coppettina di pomodorini bolliti, due filetti di melanzane e due di zucchine, un peperone cornetto e un piccolissimo pezzetto di pitta di patate. Ho capito che l'antipasto è "calibrato per una persona" ma per quel prezzo bisognerebbe includere almeno qualche frittino (e invece i frittini nel menu costituiscono un antipasto a parte). Insomma, la trattoria vale, ma ogni volta che veniamo rimaniamo delusi dagli antipasti. E poi ... un piattino (davvero una porzioncina misera) di verdura cotta a 10 euro! Davvero questi prezzi sono esagerati. Se migliorassero il discorso antipasti, commisurando varietà e quantità al prezzo, sarebbe davvero una trattoria strepitosa. Comunque, la recensione è positiva e consiglio questa trattoria a tutti. Consiglio solo ai gestori di rivedere il discorso antipasti perché è davvero un peccato.

26/08/2024: We went to the Corallo Restaurant with a group of friends on the recommendation of a local. Unfortunately, expectations were not met in various aspects. The location is very nice and well-kept, the menu offers a wide choice of fish dishes with average prices and which I confirm is fresh at least in the dishes we chose. The former were very good, the latter however turned out to be very mediocre, especially the frying which was "rubbery". But the biggest disappointment came at the end of the dinner, when we were asked if we would like a digestive, making it understood as being offered by the house, while instead when we arrived at the checkout we found every single liqueur brought to the table stamped on the receipt (€5 per limoncello or liquorice bitters for a total of €40)... I have been coming to Puglia for many years and the Apulian welcome is absolutely not this. Faced with a receipt worth almost €500, it should almost be obvious to offer liqueurs at the end of the meal! Never again...
