Wide selection of excellent dishes! Quick and friendly service, and the owner is always available to help. We've been frequenting this restaurant for years... the quality and quantity have never waned!

It's a shame, after many years of occasionally frequenting this restaurant, always having a great experience in every way. Unfortunately, this time I didn't say WOW, but rather, a sufficient dinner. The temperatures these days are very hot and muggy, and sitting in the garden, covered by a wooden structure, I expected to find at least some fans rather than asking for more expensive options. Both the customers and the staff were very sweaty, even in their work shirts... The menu features many first and second courses, it takes a long time to read, and the dishes are made with out-of-season ingredients, almost like a winter dish. The typical Lecce appetizer was decent without being overly generous. The first courses were overall decent, with good ingredients, but the dish was disjointed and had too much oil. The cooking didn't live up to expectations, and the scampi were not as good as some of the seafood. It's a shame I can't give more than a satisfactory/fair rating, but I think the lack of customer comfort is a flaw. The very willing staff at the tables are penalized by sweating due to the heat and the lack of a well-organized place.

Unfortunately, it lacks a well-air-conditioned environment.

Highly recommended! Excellent value. Trattoria-pizzeria with an extensive menu. Ideal for sampling typical local dishes, horse meat, fresh pasta, and fish dishes. The pizza is also very good. And for dessert, I recommend the warm apple puff pastry with ice cream—a true delight.

Excellent food, divine homemade desserts made by a special lady!

I'd been there years ago and it left me with such vivid memories that I absolutely wanted to return, even though it was far from our itinerary. Personally, I've lost a little of that memory. From a typical Salento "osteria," I've found a seafood and fish restaurant, as well as a pizzeria. The location and the courtesy are always top-notch, but the food, in my opinion, needs some work.

We come here often for lunch and dinner and have never been disappointed. The dishes offered are varied and all worth trying, the staff is friendly and, as far as possible, also fast. The only flaw, in my opinion, is the pizza. It deserves a special mention because I personally love Neapolitan-style pizza, but here it's thin and not exactly soft. I highly recommend the food, however, which never disappoints, no matter what you order, from appetizers to first courses or second courses, not to mention the desserts with their apple puff pastry and much more.

Simple and clean place. Very attentive and hospitable staff. Superlative food. TOP quality/price ratio!!! Unthinkable in my area...unfortunately.

Like every year, I return to Puglia, to Sternatia, and like every year, the cuisine at the Porta Antica restaurant satisfies me... dishes made with love and passion. I recommend everyone to try them... enjoy your lunch or dinner.

Salento trattoria. It offers traditional dishes with subtle twists that don't overwhelm the essence. The ingredients used are top-quality. The service is good and fast. In summer, they offer space in an indoor atrium. Excellent value. Generous portions. In short, what can I say...we'll definitely be back!
