05/10/2025: Stop in Sternatia for the Cammino del Salento and dine here at La Porta Antica. We ordered the fritto misto, tagliolini with radicchio, shrimp, and orange, linguine with lemon pesto and shrimp, and for dessert, pistachio spumone and chocolate soufflé. Everything was delicious, and the first courses were generous and delicious. The staff were incredibly friendly. I highly recommend it; the food is truly delicious. Congratulations, well done! 25/09/2025: This restaurant also has outdoor seating. Typical Salento dishes, excellent quality, a little above average but the quality is worth it. Wide selection. Recommended. If we return to the area, we'll definitely return to this place; it's worth a detour.

24/09/2025: I gave it 2 stars because what I'm about to write is a bit strange... We ate well, the place is very unique, the young woman who served us was very kind and courteous, but the worst part was when we went to pay. The prices we saw on the menu didn't match what the lady charged us. And in my opinion, that's a serious matter, very serious... the lady refunded us the extra money we'd paid, compared to the menu, and apologized, saying the menus were from last year. Yes, okay, you could be wrong, but we went to eat on September 22nd, the season is well and truly over, and the menus should have been new for a while now... Anyway, I want to believe in the lady's good faith, hoping it only happened to us.

28/07/2025: Terrible place to eat. The owner is truly arrogant and presumptuous. He mocks customers and says untrue things. The food was truly awful and the price was high. I ordered bombette and he brought me a stewed meat that was spicy and extremely salty, practically inedible. I strongly advise against it.

25/07/2025: This year we decided to spend a week in this area for our summer vacation, and since we'd never been before, we chose this place randomly. It looked good on websites and was close to, but not in, the center of Gallipoli. It was an excellent choice: clean and comfortable rooms, excellent service, excellent breakfast, and a clean, air-conditioned property with a large, secure indoor parking lot. Most importantly, it's located in a quiet area where you can sleep soundly. A 5-minute drive will take you to the center of Gallipoli and the area's best beaches. It has an on-site restaurant where you can dine. I highly recommend it and thank the owners for their hospitality.

12/09/2025: I'm usually quite wary of trying out unfamiliar pizzerias, but reading the menu piqued my interest with the "Puglia" pizza. My expectations were more than met: the pizza was truly fabulous! We had a pleasant evening and a delicious dinner. The friendly staff made the experience even better. This place is definitely worth a visit.

22/09/2025: I was alone and ordered a platter even though it was recommended for two, and the waiter rightly warned me. I ordered it anyway, especially since that was all we were eating. It was excellent, although I'd recommend bringing bread instead of waiting for customers to ask for it. In any case, bread isn't the friselle that make crostini, although they were still good. Above all, I'd add at least two more types of cheese, since the menu offered a selection of cured meats and cheeses, but there was only mozzarella or stracciatella. I'd perhaps remove the mortadella, which I think has nothing to do with Salento. All in all, I enjoyed everything for just €12 for the platter.
