The raw fish is not recommended. The prices are a bit steep for the quality of the dishes. It wasn't bad, but I wouldn't return.

11/07/2025: Everything was excellent. The only flaw, now common throughout Salento, is the price. Restaurants are incredibly expensive. The €80 per person price tag has become accepted. A plate of mussels, good, was €20. Exorbitant prices. I'm Italian, though, so I'm a bit of a complainer. But there were six English people sitting next to me. The poor father must have shelled out around €450 by the end of the evening; he was staring blankly. He spoke little. He was already imagining the rest. We'll be moving next year. We need to show some dissatisfaction. Quality can be maintained even at a reasonable price.

09/08/2025: A very, very nice place in the heart of the historic center. Very well-maintained. I gave the food a three based on the mussels au gratin with egg and cheese, which, unfortunately, were overcooked and therefore dry. The mussels wouldn't come off, the shells weren't clean because you scrape them and don't leave the little stones that stick to the shell. The resulting omelette had to be shaken and scraped from the terrine to eat. But that was just one dish. There were many others that were certainly good. On the other hand, the grilled vegetables are worth it, both for the presentation and the flavor. Thank you for your hospitality. My price is average. I'd just lower the price of that terrine, because honestly, two mussels and a few eggs is a bit much at ten euros...

07/08/2025: Unfortunately, I can't recommend this restaurant. My pasta wasn't cooked. Then someone came up to me and said, "I'm Dr." And I told him, "Sorry. Unfortunately, I can't eat the pasta." He said, "I'm sorry." Unfortunately, that's all I can say! Stay away!

25/08/2025: You eat well and the products are quality, but it is very disorganized: they bring a menu, but you can ask for meat "at the counter", but no one explains anything, you have to ask for information from more... experienced customers. Not even the prices are understandable: two pieces of Angus (on the menu €12 per piece) a bottle of house wine and a water: total €40🤷 as if a bottle of wine and 1/2 liter of water have almost the same value for them as Angus dishes (which are truly exceptional)

25/08/2025: The food is good, but the attention to allergies is a little less so. I asked the staff which "bombette" were dairy-free, as I can't eat dairy products. The gentleman at the counter was very kind in telling me which were the dairy-free bombettes, so I ordered those. However, all the bombettes were delivered mixed together on a single plate (mine and those of the people at my table), so it was difficult to tell which were the dairy-free ones, since they looked almost identical on the outside. When I pointed this out, the waiter replied that we "had to specify" whether we wanted the bombettes I ordered separate from those of the rest of the table. As if mentioning allergies when ordering wasn't enough. Result: I had to try to guess which were the dairy-free bombettes (not an easy task, I assure you), but I was definitely wrong, as I spent the night in the bathroom.

11/08/2025: Found it on a friend's recommendation for a last-minute birthday dinner. The place is basic, but the owner and staff are very friendly and helpful, and the food is excellent. They even gave us a discount. Really satisfied. Recommended.

07/08/2025: A small restaurant in the historic center of Salve. A welcoming and pleasant atmosphere, despite being in a closed courtyard. Original yet understated dishes, with Mediterranean and Salento flavors, always well-prepared. Fair prices.

29/07/2025: The food was good, but the service was very disappointing. As tourists, we felt unwelcome – the staff barely spoke English and made little effort to help us. It's a shame, because with a little more hospitality, this could have been a wonderful experience.

04/09/2025: Located in the city center, it offers top-quality products with a remarkably diverse menu, and is moderately priced. It's very popular on weekends, but with a little advance booking, it's quite accessible. The service could use some improvement, especially regarding ordering. Otherwise, I recommend it and will definitely return.

28/07/2025: Terrible place to eat. The owner is truly arrogant and presumptuous. He mocks customers and says untrue things. The food was truly awful and the price was high. I ordered bombette and he brought me a stewed meat that was spicy and extremely salty, practically inedible. I strongly advise against it.

25/07/2025: This year we decided to spend a week in this area for our summer vacation, and since we'd never been before, we chose this place randomly. It looked good on websites and was close to, but not in, the center of Gallipoli. It was an excellent choice: clean and comfortable rooms, excellent service, excellent breakfast, and a clean, air-conditioned property with a large, secure indoor parking lot. Most importantly, it's located in a quiet area where you can sleep soundly. A 5-minute drive will take you to the center of Gallipoli and the area's best beaches. It has an on-site restaurant where you can dine. I highly recommend it and thank the owners for their hospitality.

14/07/2025: The terrace where you dine is spectacular, as are the food and portions. Everything was fantastic for a first evening in Matino, and the staff were super friendly. Highly recommended.

19/06/2025: An enchanted place! I dare say postcard-like, the terrace overlooking the historic center is amazing. Abundant and very good local food, very kind and polite staff, in addition to the owner who delighted us with typical songs accompanied by his guitar
