We were welcomed by the owner, Tonia, with a kindness and helpfulness that warmed our hearts and made us fall in love with this place. We stayed and dined here, and there are no words to describe the atmosphere we felt here. A magical place that gave us a sense of family and peace. Thank you, thank you so much for giving us all this, to Daniele, the owner and chef, and to Tonia, who assisted us every step of the way. They made me feel so comfortable from the very first moment. I was greeted with such kindness and always with a smile. The breakfast is wonderful, but they are even more so. First of all, we're a local family, not tourists... Inspired by the many positive reviews, we came to try it out for ourselves last night. As soon as we arrived, the location was very well-kept and elegant. The staff immediately welcomed us and sat us at a table under the beautiful pine trees, playing relaxing music. They immediately asked if we wanted water. There are only a few tables (about fifteen), and the place clearly attracts a clientele who cares about quality rather than the quantity typically found on tourist menus in the area. A truly beautiful place with the elegance of an old colonial house, yet renovated at the same time, and incredibly peaceful! We immediately ordered potato panzerotti and potato chips. What can I say, a real treat! You could smell the fresh mint and the homemade potatoes... The panzerotti and chips you get at other places are a far cry... Adequate portions... There were 6 panzerotti in the casserole dish, and there were 2 of us with the baby... I won't deny that if there had been 10, we would have happily eaten them because of how delicious they were. My husband ordered spinach spaghetti with Angus ragù and a beef fillet on a bed of baked potatoes, while I ordered an Angus steak with arugula and parmesan. The flavors and tenderness of the meat were unparalleled here too. The homemade bread was spectacular, warm and crispy, made to order!!! We ordered 2 baskets, in fact! We concluded our dinner with a peach sorbet and a tiramisu, and I can confirm the deliciousness and the sense of seeing everything homemade. The service was very attentive... Of course, the owner didn't come to our table because she was busy explaining the dishes to larger groups and tourists, but the young waitresses were impeccable!!! And anyway, we met the owner again at the cash register, where she kindly, having known we were local, even gave us a small discount and asked how it went, since it was our first time... So we didn't experience any of the coldness the reviews had said. Prices are appropriate for the type of service and dishes offered... Of course, if you're looking for fresh, local products, quality, and simple yet refined cooking, come here. Otherwise, Salento has plenty of agriturismos with fixed menus. We paid 99 euros in total. A 3 euro cover charge and 2.50 for water. Satisfied and satisfied with the quiet and pleasant evening, without chaos or loud music, with authentic flavors, we left, promising ourselves we'll return with our eyes closed! Thanks for this wonderful experience, I'll pass the word on to other local friends!!! Ps. Just one note: the chairs... Perhaps I'd add cushions since they're straw and hard... Because while they create atmosphere and are beautiful, they're a bit uncomfortable to sit on and relax on all evening!

A simple location, yet meticulously cared for down to the smallest details, enchanting and romantic. Excellent service, excellent food. Oil? Bread? A top score. All locally sourced products. Attentive staff. Strong point: quality. Thank you, a wonderful evening. We'll be back.

We went there with friends and were pleased with the service and the dishes we enjoyed. Eggplant meatballs, zucchini soufflé, mint-flavored potato croquettes, amberjack-filled ravioli, and fresh pasta with arugula pesto, stracciatella cheese, and pine nuts. Everything was delicious. Friendly staff, spotlessly clean. We'll definitely be back.

We've been there twice in the space of a week, the first time with friends, the second time just my husband and I. Both times we had a great meal, the place is lovely, and the staff very attentive and kind. It's a shame about the owner, who was very kind the first time, helping us choose dishes and entertaining us graciously, but the second time she completely ignored us. There were five of us at the table, and throughout the evening she greeted everyone, but not us, as if we were invisible! We're still wondering why she acted so rudely. It goes without saying that we won't be returning; Salento is full of wonderful places where you can eat well, and the owners are very kind too, so we'll avoid her presence, which, evidently, for some reason unknown to us, she didn't appreciate at all.
