14/09/2025: I bought gelato from Livia to take to a friend's house: it was a success. We tried classic flavors like "Grandma Pina's cream" and pistachio, which showcased the excellent quality of the ingredients, as well as more original flavors like the delicate fig and a cow's milk ricotta enriched with candied fruit, pistachios, and chocolate, which proved to be a true delight. LIVIA'S GELATO IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, a perfect blend of dedication and top-quality ingredients.

29/10/2025: Found by chance while we were heading to the Bossea Caves (highly recommended). Beautiful, spacious, bright atmosphere. They welcomed us and served us quickly (there weren't many people). Homemade, carefully prepared food, very good. Excellent cold cuts platter. We also had two first courses and a cheesecake. Everything was excellent. The wild boar in the sauce was incredibly tender. Well done.

15/11/2025: Simple trattoria, where you can feel the warmth of a true family kitchen. Local dishes, flavours that stay with you and wine list does not disappoint for such unpretentious trattoria. And whatever you do, don’t skip dessert, the hazelnut cake is pure heaven!

02/12/2025: This restaurant was a wonderful discovery. Stunning location, charming venue, excellent food, you can taste the love and passion in the dishes. The staff and owners are very kind. We will definitely be back. You can also stay overnight in beautiful rooms, and there's even an indoor pool.

18/11/2025: We chose to have dinner at this restaurant on our first night staying in the area for our Barolo & Barbaresco wine tasting the next day. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, with a great atmosphere and delicious food. The only thing I have to deduct points for is that we had to wait a very long time for each dish, and it was quite difficult to get the staff’s attention. From the moment we arrived, waited to place our order, and then waited for each dish to be served until we finally paid, the entire experience took almost three hours.

12/11/2025: Wonderful dinner on one of our last nights visiting the area, lady on reception kindly squeezed us in for that evening's service and we enjoyed every moment. Beautiful authentic dining room, traditional attentive service - each table booked. Recommended to us by a local chef whom we had met earlier in the day, its reputation fully justified. Will revisit whenever we return to Monforte!

24/10/2025: An elegant, old-world restaurant overlooking the Langhe hills. Carefully crafted dishes with a fresh take on traditional cuisine. The artisanal gianduiotto was a unique delight!

10/11/2025: A remarkable experience, a port aperitif and an amazing platter, especially the focaccia with veal in tuna sauce, all surrounded by plants and a green wall! It never disappoints!!

11/11/2025: Meh, expensive and not great, very slow and overwhelmed service, ridiculous food, and Michelin-starred, I wouldn't recommend it.

A journey takes you through many different places, but only a few are memorable as experiences, not just stops. Al Nido della Cinciallegra is one of them. Here, wine isn't just poured into glasses, but described with passion, expertise, and restraint. The selection is tastefully curated with attention to the local area, with choices that speak of curiosity and genuine love. The atmosphere is intimate and welcoming, with wooden furnishings that convey the reassuring feeling of being in a nest. It's the perfect place to stop, taste, listen, and let yourself be guided without haste. A memorable address for those seeking not only a good glass to pair with local cicchetti, but a moment of tranquility and authenticity in the heart of the Langhe.

25/10/2025: A little corner of serenity in the heart of Neive. Al nido della Cinciallegra is in an enchanting location, with outdoor tables inviting you to linger and a convivial atmosphere that instantly makes you feel on vacation, even if it's just for an hour. The wine selection is excellent and handled with great courtesy: if you're unsure, they'll gladly offer a tasting to help you choose (I was between two Barolos!). It's the ideal place for those exploring the village who don't want a long or demanding lunch, neither in quantity nor price, but don't want to sacrifice quality and the pleasure of the table. The crostoni are delicious: combinations of local cheeses (and of course cured meats for those who eat them - I'm vegetarian), compotes, dried fruit, and fresh seasonal fruit that taste of autumn, smell of the woods, and reconnect you with the world. The chestnut cake is also excellent, soft and delicious. Alessandro's service was impeccable: kind, competent, and never rushed. He describes both the wines and the dishes with passion and great knowledge, helping to create the relaxed and authentic atmosphere that makes the place so pleasant. All it needed was the sun, but otherwise it was the perfect lunch between one photo exhibition and another in the charming village of Neive. Fair prices, efficient but never rushed service. You leave here happy and chirping like a blue tit!

15/11/2025: Welcoming place with helpful and friendly staff. All the dishes were delicious, from appetizers to dessert. The tajarin with ragù and raw meat was exceptional. Highly recommended! Reservations recommended.

15/11/2025: If you are celiac and need a place to eat in Ventimiglia don't miss Osteria dei Sognatori. Our waiter, Omar, immediately explained that they could prepare both meals gluten free. So we ordered the squid and and the octopus and were able to share each other's meals. They also have GF options for dessert. I would assign more than 5 stars if I could.

25/10/2025: A place that makes normality its virtue. Everything is clear. The price of the menu, with everything included. Inside the restaurant, there's a display of about a hundred different cheeses that seems like a shrine. Diners are spoiled for choice. We like to give positive feedback on places that operate with simplicity and professionalism while maintaining fair prices. If you're in Saluzzo, perhaps to see a beautiful exhibition like the one featuring Scianna's photographs, this place is worth considering.
