17/06/2025: I went there with my family for a snack, excellent products, we ate pizza and some sweets. Nice and clean place, polite and friendly staff.

08/06/2025: Rude and unhelpful, not even very good food, high prices, not recommended... Next door you have Bar Raffaele, the grocery store and many other places 100 times better

01/11/2025: We came across this place by chance, but we came back a second time to try the delicious food. Seafood risotto, eggplant pizza and pasta with clams. Very kind and nice staff of young and smiling people. I recommend it, we would be happy to come back!

08/09/2025: We went tonight. I'm so sorry to leave a negative review. The staff was friendly, but the food was truly awful. Dry and tasteless egg rolls, flavorless grilled ravioli, rubbery grilled fettuccine, and rock-hard sweet and sour pork. It's a shame because we had takeout about three years ago and it wasn't bad. I'm sorry, but I won't be back. Despite the competitive prices, they don't offer AYCE, but that's okay.

12/10/2025: We celebrated a friend’s birthday at Borgo Antico. The food was absolutely delicious and beautifully prepared. Unfortunately, what took away from the experience was the service. The staff seemed to lack basic etiquette and customer engagement. For example, when we asked if they had any pizzas with ham, the response was simply, “whatever is available on the menu.” A little more courtesy and willingness to guide customers, especially first-timers, would make a big difference. Great food, but the team could really benefit from some customer service training.

05/10/2025: We went here to celebrate our wedding anniversary and had made reservations a few weeks out however when greeted, was not asked if we were celebrating a special occasion and asked to pick any table, except all of the “good” tables were already taken up front by the window. So not the greatest most welcoming start to the evening. I only point this out because the “atmosphere” here is almost a negative value. This is literally a large long rectangle with low ceilings, limited decor of Wayfair mirrors and light fixtures thrown up in the walls and wood tables flanked by plastic chairs. The bar was the nicest focal point yet for some odd reason there was tv with sports on directly across from us, and music playing was so odd, everything from pop to rap, it was just bizarre and not classy at all. Server was borderline rude, I noticed they sold focaccia separately so I asked if burrata was served with any bread and he said no, pointed to the menu and highlighted the ingredients and no mention of bread, so we ordered separately. When burrata came out, it was served with 2 giant pieces of focaccia! We literally didn’t touch our separate order. We mentioned this to another server and he suggested we take it home with us. I had expected not to be charged for the extra bread but of course we were. The burrata itself was delicious but presentation was terrible, instead of showcasing the beautiful colours of the peppers and beet juice, it was buried under the cheese and the entire plate was covered with plain, not so fresh looking arugula which was just an odd and underwhelming first impression. Our main meals were pretty good, I had seabass which I found lacking in flavour and husband had pasta with meat sauce. We skipped dessert as portions were large. Overall there is nothing to bring us to return, there are several other restaurants in downtown Oakville that offer a much better atmosphere, service and comparable if not better food.

16/08/2025: I don't know if the worst part is the filth of the place or the look of your plate when it's brought to you... We stayed there for over an hour on a Saturday lunchtime and we were the only one at the table. Avoid...

18/06/2025: Siamo stati in questo magnifico ristorante il 14 Giugno per i 50 Anni di matrimonio dei miei genitori, eravamo circa 30 persone e siamo stati davvero bennissimo. Già dall'accoglienza per degli stuzzichini all'aperto con dei fritti e delle tartine di pesce squisite. All'interno, nella sala climatizzata abbiamo proseguito con un mix di antipasti(Insalata di mare, soutè di cozze, salmone e moscardini) per poi passare ai 2 assaggi di primi(scoglio e crema di scampi) e concludere con un misto di frittura e orata in crosta davvero deliziosa così come tutti gli altri piatti. Per finire, sorbetto, frutta torta e caffè il tutto accompagnato da un ottimo vino. Consiglio a tutti questo ristorante per la qualità, la location ed il servizio, tutti davvero gentilissimi e disponibili.

19/07/2025: In qualsiasi sede, Luigi Piras, offre il meglio della qualità dei suoi prodotti da forno, immancabili le ghiotte novità, servite dal personale qualificato e solare, gentile e accogliente, dal benvenuto all'arrivederci. Per questo ultimo motivo, noi abbiamo pranzato il primo giorno di vacanza e siamo tornate il giorno della partenza, perché si torna sempre dove si è stati bene: complimenti a Federico per averci accolte con speciale ospitalità e rare competenza e professionalità, capace di servire i clienti come fossero amici a casa sua. Consigliamo il Fornaio della Sardegna, perché qualità e gentilezza sono garantite.

28/06/2025: Un apericena davvero buono, saziante e con prodotti davvero sardi. Un ottimo Vermentino ad accompagnare i taglieri. Il signor Simone gran padrone di casa ospitale, cortese e preparato. Da tornare assolutamente!!

19/10/2025: We arrived at 1.30pm, we had 2 starters and we ordered 3 first courses. At 3.20pm we were still waiting so we went to the cashier, paid 36 euros and left.

18/09/2025: The food was excellent, the clams were delicious, the porcini mushrooms were superb, and everything was excellent. They're very friendly, but they should improve the environment, which is very neglected. It's a shame, especially since it's so green and in a lovely location.

05/09/2025: Good food, I was very pleased that they don't allow dogs, nowadays many "Canarian" restaurants seem like stables for animals and have no respect for those who are afraid or otherwise.

We arrive, we are crammed in like crazy, it's almost like we eat with the next table, cutlery rolled up in a napkin worthy of a 5-year-old, nothing applied, drinks and menu arrive quickly but the pizzas, I didn't think it was possible such a bad pizza, first time in my life that I didn't finish a pizza, even though I'm not complicated, but there was way too much cheese, my girlfriend ordered a chorizo ​​pizza, a few slices of not spicy salami put on top after cooking and cutting (see photo below) To go to the bathroom we go through the kitchen which is not clean, everything spread out in the sink as if they had made 200 meals (being a cook I know what that's like) The toilets 10 minutes of waiting just one toilet, in a pitiful state, even before going there I knew the state of the people who come out And the best part, 2 euros terrace fees per person that they put on The bill is written down nowhere, without saying anything. Frankly, I can't find any positive points except maybe the coke, which was served in a very, very damaged glass. Clearly avoid. If I had known, I would have looked at the reviews. I forgot to mention the 40-minute wait for 2 pizzas. *
