06/11/2025: Ah, their red berry cheesecake is a treat! And the view from the terrace is amazing. I love this place. And the Capitoline Museums too 😀.

03/11/2025: AVOID!!! Such a shameful behavior by staff!! We arrived at lunch time to have a little break and grab some food and drinks while enjoying magnificent view. The hostess asked if we arrived for a lunch or drinks and appetizers. When heard that we are not interested in lunch the behavior became patronizing. We waited to be seated for 10 min though the place was not busy. After reviewing appetizer menu we wanted to consider having lunch as our adult children didn't find something suitable for them. After calling time after time for a waiter to get lunch menu we felt very unwanted and choosed to leave without getting proper service.

23/10/2025: Stayed walking distance from this place. The people are the nicest and so accommodating. Wish I had this in Fl! You will be missed!

22/08/2025: My salvation. One of the few open in the area during this time of year. Breakfast at the bar is a morning ritual I can't give up, and not having a café down the street forced me to take a brisk walk to this bar. Fresh products and friendly staff. Congratulations.

15/07/2025: Cena al ristorante “LA COSTIERA” di fronte al Mercato Trionfale Ho preso: -Polpette di bollito di ricciola con patata soffice, pistacchio e caviale di melanzane servite su salsa di zucchine e menta fresca -Filetto di orata del Mediterraneo in salsa di capperi e limone -1 Calice di Franciacorta brut Camillucci -1 Bottiglia di acqua frizzante -Caffè, pane e coperto Cucina sofisticata ma veramente deliziosa. Molto creativa e distante dalla solita cucina tradizionale. Lavorazione dei piatti molto ricercata. Poi va a gusti. Io adoro l’innovazione che va a braccetto con la qualità. Personale giovane ma davvero molto preparato. Uno dei migliori ristoranti in assoluto 48€

12/06/2025: Bellissima cena. Non avevamo prenotato ma hanno trovato posto. Buonissime le tapas di pesce (polpette e polpo), saporito il calamaro ripieno. Davvero buono. Chiudiamo con un dolce la serata

04/06/2025: We had a lovely dining experience at Ristorante Al Vecchio Mulino, just a short 5-minute walk from Roma Trastevere station. The ambiance was warm and inviting — perfect for a relaxed evening out. We tried the Arrosto di Pesce, which was beautifully cooked and full of flavor, with a fresh, clean taste that really stood out. The Scaloppina al Limone was tender and had just the right amount of lemony zest without overpowering the dish. We also ordered the Spaghetti al Pomodoro, a simple classic done right — the tomato sauce was rich and vibrant, and the pasta cooked to perfection. Service was friendly and efficient, and prices were very reasonable considering the quality of the food. Definitely a spot worth visiting if you're in the Trastevere area and looking for a good, honest Italian meal.

25/08/2025: The restaurant has probably changed management; the dining room had 12 customers and one "friendly" waitress. The food was truly astounding: hot pasta with lukewarm/cold sauces. The fried fish was the icing on the cake; it arrived completely cold and dry. Even after pointing it out and leaving it completely on the plate, we were still charged for it. The restaurant is probably going through a rough patch, but if their offerings are this good, customers will probably understand where they're going. Good luck, a former customer.

31/07/2025: A restaurant recommended by an acquaintance! Exceptional food! We had the first course of the day: spaghetti with clams, sea bream and octopus, baby octopus, and dessert. Everything was exceptional! Impeccable service and a modern, welcoming, and clean atmosphere.

27/08/2025: At Dar Maghetto, you'll have a unique experience not just about food but about what we all call the vanished Rome of trattorias. Trattorias are about sharing, with their strengths and weaknesses. If you're a Roman, he might seem rude and grumpy, but he's only Roman! Behind those words and those gestures (which you have to learn to understand) lies a life of sacrifice and kindness. Even at almost eighty, you can't forget that's er MAGHETTO! You come in, you sit down, you make a joke, and you repeat it, sure he won't take offense (but you shouldn't be offended, otherwise it's worthless). You order drinks and chat, you order food and chat (with everyone, including foreigners; oh God, I even have a problem with talking to everyone). Then he comes to eat and you eat well, as tradition dictates in a trattoria with no frills but substance. Then er Maghetto arrives and asks, "Can you taste it for me to see if it's good?" A plate of tripe, obviously, it's Friday and Saturday in Rome, tripe is traditionally served. This is to make you understand that the food on the plate is also part of the experience, and the Maghetto experience is a 10 all-inclusive.

17/09/2025: I've been a customer here for 20 years. It's been great sometimes, and not so great sometimes. The food is very good and the atmosphere is pleasant, but the decor after the renovation, in my opinion, doesn't match the food served. I also suggest turning up the air conditioning as it was simply too hot.

08/09/2025: Unfortunately, I was disappointed. I hadn't been there for a year, and in the meantime, they'd been renovating the place. It turned out pretty well, too. But they forgot about the acoustics. It's indescribably noisy, and it's hard to stay quiet. Meanwhile, I have to say that the quality of the food has gone downhill. The dishes are too Westernized, with little spice and flavor. A bit disappointing.

11/11/2025: We ate tiramisu and it was around 5 euros. When we asked if there was anything wrong with it, we were told there was nothing. We ate it trustingly. It tasted good. It is delicious and edible on the Vatican side.

28/09/2025: What truly stood out to me was the feeling Massimo created. It didn’t feel like going to a restaurant, but rather like visiting a grandfather’s home—where he generously shares whatever he has and insists on feeding you until you’re happily full. The whole experience was more about being a guest than a customer. The pasta was delicious, freshly made that very morning. Then he surprised us with fried eggplant and grapes, all served with such kindness and warmth. I believe we should value more of these local, family-style places. They may not fit into the modern category of “fancy” restaurants, but they shine with generosity, hospitality, and truly tasty food.

28/09/2025: We went to Frascati, strolling through the streets filled with restaurants, osterias, and trattorias. There were so many beautiful and inviting places, but a name, a logo—I'm not sure what—drew us to Da Massimo. It wasn't right in the center; we had to go down a side street... and finally we found ourselves in front of this simple, almost familiar-looking place. As soon as we entered, it truly felt like my grandmother's house: a welcoming atmosphere, with Massimo—a kind, white-haired man—who takes great care of his guests. Always ready to ask, "Do you need anything else?" We asked for a first course, and he offered us his fettuccine with meat sauce: "Are there two of you? I'll make you a generous portion." First, he brought us white wine and simple bruschetta with extra virgin olive oil... all homemade, fresh, and authentic. Then came the pasta: delicious, flavorful, and so generous it seemed made for three! Not content with that, Massimo also brought us some delicious small eggplants with bread, and at the end he offered us eggs from his chickens and a homemade grappa. It was an experience that went beyond good food: a return to a warmth and hospitality that is increasingly rare today. If you want to experience something authentic and feel part of a story that will stay with you, I wholeheartedly recommend Da Massimo. Give him a shout-out from me!

20/09/2025: We spent a day at the beach there. Very nice and clean. The staff was extremely friendly. We'd love to go back.

19/09/2025: We visited as a group of four. The place is lovely, and the sunset from the walkway to the left of the bar is truly breathtaking. We were lucky enough to be there on a day when there were very few people, so all the best seats were available, so we took advantage of the opportunity to enjoy drinks and snacks on the walkway overlooking the sea. Unfortunately, the drinks weren't the best, nor were the snacks—two peanuts, two olives, and a few packets of pre-packaged crisps. I'd definitely return for the atmosphere, but not for the service or the food.

25/09/2025: A deli bar in the large parking lot, right under the Civitavecchia courthouse. A few tables on the covered terrace to the side of the restaurant. They also offer quick meals, as well as sandwiches and desserts. The staff is friendly, and the place is simple and basic. The prices are fair.
