26/02/2026: On Saturday, I had lunch at Ristorante La Bottegaia with a group of friends and we had a wonderful time.
The food was superb; everything was delicious and made with care. The cuisine is traditional Reggio Emilia, but with a few unique dishes (I ABSOLUTELY recommend the creamed cod).
The woman who served us was kind and friendly throughout the meal.
If you're looking for a well-prepared traditional menu, with a few original ideas, and in a central location in Reggio Emilia, I highly recommend it!
21/12/2025: The food was very good. I hadn't been there in years, but it's still a good place in the historic center. It's best enjoyed in the summer months because it's small and cramped inside. Reservations are recommended.

16/04/2026: I went to the restaurant last year to order pizzas and they told me they'd be ready in 15 minutes (I was six months pregnant 🤰). They made me wait 35 minutes (people they knew, maybe friends, relatives, came to order after me and left before me with their pizzas). I was very disappointed 🫤 (my father-in-law was waiting for me in the parking lot with his husband and two children, one 4 years old and the other 14 months old). Since that day I've changed pizzerias and I'm very satisfied. This is my experience, so it doesn't mean they're not good and that the food isn't good 😌
14/04/2026: The service is good but the pizza is still to be learned because I ate a normal pizza 🍕 but I couldn't digest it, it stayed on my stomach too much, I avoid them and I didn't eat the other dishes but maybe tortellini or other dishes are better including the second courses and appetizers and desserts 🍰 good thank you very much

02/04/2026: Located in a setting where you can breathe in nature and authenticity.
The setting has been beautifully renovated, preserving the charm of a not-too-distant past.
The property is modern with all the necessary comforts.
The staff is knowledgeable and attentive, but the real "icing on the cake" is the restaurant...
everything delicious.
Always eager to return.
Highly recommended

A simple bar in the center, with tables outside, like many others in the area.
They charged me €2 for a 1/4 cup of burnt erbazzone! And the thing that shocked me the most: a €2 cover charge.
I WASN'T AT DINNER! I JUST DRINK A GLASS OF WINE.
They want to act sophisticated, but they don't know how!

28/12/2025: A place worth finding and trying! It's on the road, but it's a bit tricky to find due to the hairpin bend. It has a homey atmosphere and excellent value. The sheep's milk Barzigole are delicious!

09/04/2026: Terrible reception! The person who answered the phone was disgusted by the dogs in the room. I would suggest removing the pets allowed as they are not welcomed willingly. Moreover, they were rude. I would give zero stars if I could.
05/04/2026: A welcoming refuge to spend the night, pampered by the kindness and hospitality of the staff. Everything was perfect (room, breakfast, cleanliness, services), but above all, it's the human warmth that makes the difference. I'll definitely be back!

11/09/2025: Always a pleasure to return to Jolly Pizzeria...it reminds me of when I was younger and I used to go up to the mountains more often! The pizza is always good, and so are the fried mushrooms, a delight (and the traditional dishes, too).
05/08/2025: I stumbled upon it by chance thanks to some friends... They were hospitable and helpful. Right now, I can say the porcini tagliatelle are delicious... I'll be back and continue my review later... But my overall opinion is positive.
