25/03/2026: The atmosphere is characterized by kind, cheerful, attentive, and friendly staff, always ready to discuss and provide information. Three of us were having lunch with friends and family, en route to the capital after being in Lucania for the referendum vote. Our first courses: Gragnano "candelle" with grandma's ragù and fettuccine with porcini mushrooms, simply excellent, perfectly cooked and generously portioned. Next up was a highly successful second course: chicken "scuppiettat" with a side of potatoes in their skins! We didn't try the "panuozzo," which I'm sure must have been a delight...next time! Reasonably priced for the quality/price ratio. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Located near the Salerno-Rome highway exit (Mercato San Severino).

01/04/2026: Unique atmosphere, excellent food, sublime meat, I had the Marchigiana and it was exquisite, the meat was brought on a cold plate and therefore you have only a few minutes to eat it hot, I recommend asking for the hot plate, the flaw is the minimum cut of one kg kilogram

This venue is something special: a welcoming, elegant atmosphere, with attention to every detail. From the very first moment, you can sense the passion and love behind every detail. Francesca was a precious presence for us: a truly special person, kind, helpful, and always attentive. She accompanied us with great professionalism and love, making us feel at ease and cared for at every step. The entire staff was also extraordinary, always smiling and present. The food was a real surprise: every course was excellent, carefully prepared, and plentiful. Our guests couldn't stop complimenting us throughout the evening. Francesca also recommended the DJ, vocalist, and photographer... and we couldn't have made a better choice. Each of them was exceptional and contributed to the atmosphere being even more magical. Thank you so much for making this moment so beautiful and unforgettable. We will always carry the memory of this special day with us.

29/03/2026: Wonderful place. Excellent meat but also other good options. The winelist is ultimate, exceptional from Sicilia to Piemonte probably the best I ever found in Campania. The staff/ Brigade is perfect. Booking is mandatory.

Menu: 4/5 Good seafood selection, varied and high-quality, carefully prepared. Service: 4/5 Attentive, professional, and efficient, even with large tables. Bill: 4/5 Excellent value for money.

The lemon sponge was great and we got ricotta-stuffed pumpkin flower as a starter on the house as well as limoncello with the bill. Would recommend for dinner if you are staying in Scala, the staff was very kind and attentive.

31/12/2025: Strolling through the streets of Salerno's historic center, a city familiar to us even though we've lived up north for decades, I spotted the signs for this osteria, but more importantly, the slogans posted outside the entrance. We then decided to stop for dinner: it was the best choice! The welcome was familiar, like being at Aunt Vittoria's house, the food was home-cooked (the broccoli, not on the menu, was actually from the chef's own garden!), and the service was quick and efficient. The space is small, so the atmosphere is reminiscent of a family dinner even at the other tables, with the chef even passing by with his pot to offer seconds! I'd say that, although it won't be easy to find a table, it's highly recommended for those who don't want the typical "tourist" menu but want to immerse themselves in local flavors. I almost forgot to mention the house red wine, an Aglianico. I drank one bottle at the table, for two, and another for lunch today. Get the idea?

05/03/2026: We only had drinks when it wasn't the tourist season, but the restaurant was completely empty, which we understand. The waitress was nice, she even brought us some local bread, but the Aprel spritz and limoncello spritz were almost not very impressive and, considering the prices for the food, they were a total rip-off.

08/03/2026: We met the owners by chance last summer, one morning by the sea. When they mentioned this trattoria, saying "Yes, but how many people are there," my wife almost thought it was a direct question, asking how many of us there were. The restaurant was described to us as a genuine place, with the flavors of times gone by. Intrigued, after about six months, today, I finally managed to go. I can say that every word the owner said that morning by the sea wasn't just a boast about his business, but an authentic reality. A unique place, difficult to describe, because nowadays it's increasingly rare to truly describe and rediscover the flavors of times gone by. Perhaps the only phrase that could convey the idea is "exquisiteness in simple flavors." Signora Lucia holds in her hands the gift of tradition and ancient, authentic flavors. Everything is homemade, with a unique and delicate flavor. Fair and honest prices. Warm and welcoming staff: the owners, husband and wife, make you feel at home. It's definitely worth it. I highly recommend it.

15/02/2026: "Si ma quant sit?" is a welcoming tavern, starting from the moment you call to make a reservation. Managed professionally, efficiently, and with a family atmosphere by Raffaele and Lucia, the restaurant continues the tradition of Mr. Raffaele's family, historic tavern keepers on the State Road 19 since the time of the Bourbons. The dishes, lovingly prepared by Lucia and described with historical richness and pride by Raffaele, showcase local products. Everything speaks of the Alburni region, from the grains used to make the pasta by hand, to the bottled tomato sauce, local cured meats and cheeses, as well as the meat, wine, and vegetables, always incredibly fresh. I stumbled upon it once by chance, returning from a walk through the surrounding villages. It was 2:30 PM, home was still far away, but I was very hungry. After calling other places, with the kitchen already closed or the tables taken, I called here and Raffaele replied, "Si ma quant sit?" "And he told us we could arrive whenever we wanted and we'd definitely eat. Since then, I've been back often, each time with more people, and we're always welcomed like a big family of friends. And we always eat great. There's ample parking, quick service, and reasonable prices. The trattoria is located along the SS19, so it's very easy to get to.

13/03/2026: Today, almost by chance, my wife and I stumbled upon this delightful place, blessed by nature. The real highlight, besides the excellent dishes, is the welcome from Mr. Giovanni, a true gentleman, whose blue eyes and life stories captivate you and instill so much energy and zest for life—the real one, not the one adulterated by the contemporary world. Excellent dishes, truly abundant, food and wine supply chain entirely or almost entirely local. We spent a peaceful hour, but what's more, we knew we had truly met a wonderful person. 08/03/2026: This morning, we were visiting the Pertosa Caves and looking for a place to eat on the way to Naples. We found Agriturismo Parisi on Google. We were greeted by a young man who immediately told us the entire menu, and we decided to have just one appetizer and one first course each. The appetizer was generous and varied; we sampled cured meats, cheeses, parmigiana, caponata, potatoes and crusco peppers, and an asparagus frittata. For our first course, we had a plate of chickpea lagane with lard and bell peppers, and a fresh pasta dish with sausage and mushrooms. Given the abundance, we didn't order a second course; we finished the meal with an excellent cherry crumble and a coffee. The total cost was €40, excellent value. The staff was friendly and welcoming; we'll definitely be back.
