18/04/2026: We had one of the highlights of our trip here while taking a cooking class with Chef Simone and his great team! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warm hospitality and the session was fun, engaging, and very well run. Afterwards, we enjoyed everything we had prepared as a delicious lunch, paired with local wine. I would highly recommend the class, or dining at this fantastic restaurant. Thank you again for such a great experience!

14/04/2026: We visited in April 2026. The food is excellent. The service is great. Although the temperatures were already pleasant, small wood-burning stoves were lit to generate heat. The food and drinks were very good. The restaurant is highly recommended. The view is wonderful.

It has a beautiful garden with magnificent view, excellent food and very attentive service.

10/11/2025: Amazing place! Spectacular sea views, a relaxing atmosphere, and super friendly staff. We had lunch just a few meters from the water with truly delicious dishes: a fresh seafood appetizer, flavorful seafood paccheri, and a light dessert with cream and strawberries that was simply heavenly.
A glass of white wine, a sea breeze, and a breathtaking view... what more could you ask for?
After lunch, we also enjoyed an aperitif overlooking the sea, and it was simply perfect.
La Gavitella is one of those places where you can truly relax and enjoy the Amalfi Coast in all its splendor. ❤️

07/04/2026: Excellent place to eat, everyone is very friendly and the food is delicious. It's reasonably priced, so forget the crowds in Amalfi and Positano, and venture out to discover a peaceful spot with beautiful views and local shops.

Very quite, beautiful area. I would say hidden gem. There is very nice walking path along the beach next to the restaurant.
Not expensive in comparison to others. Very friendly staff! We visited twice during one weekend:)

Kids spaghetti fine, but nothing amazing.
Pumpkin risotto was good.
Meatballs were raw and sent back. Packaged up as take away and got home... for them to STILL be raw.
All of that for the low price of almost 150 euros.
Much better places to eat on the coast.
Skip it.
28/10/2025: Service was excellent, the food is good, and we definitely enjoyed our dinner. Be sure to make reservations. This restaurant is recommended. Americans please note that the portions are small, relative to typical American expectations for dinner. You definitely need an appetizer with your meal if you are hungry. No salads or vegetables, which is also different relative to typical American meals. This restaurant is not unique in the general lack of vegetables for dinner. We experienced this across Italy and Denmark during our trip, so this must be typical.

Stunning views for sunset, aesthetic designed roof top with a mini pool.
Great cocktails and friendly staff.
Loved the little snacks with the drinks too.

05/06/2025: Chegamos pra jantar bem no por do sol. A vista e o cenário são deslumbrantes. O forte do local é a pizza feita ali quase na sua frente, num forno no próprio terraço onde fica o restaurante. Adoramos!

12/10/2024: Tutto perfetto come sempre dalla cucina allo staff sempre attentissimo e premuroso...Il baccalà in temperatura è assolutamente spaziale...
10/10/2024: Brood word niet gevraagd, kost dus wel 7 euro, voorgerecht redelijk, maar kwaliteit prijs niet goed, flesje wijn gezellig maar alleen het eerste glas wordt ingeschonken, gaven aan even te willen wachten met het hoofdgerecht, maar was er binnen twee minuten, dit weer weggestuurd en gezegd een kwartiertje te willen wachten. Inmiddels was dus mijn gerecht soort van kabeljauw soep, en de gebakken vis van mijn partner kan je ook bij de visboer aan de kar halen. 19.15 waren wij binnen en waren 20.45 weer in ons hotel. Met dank voor hun shuttle service (dat is dan wel positief). Kortom denk niet dat je een gezellig avondje uit eten gaat.

21/09/2024: Pasamos todo el día allí y lo pasamos muy bien. Vinimos a finales de septiembre y el agua todavía estaba lo suficientemente caliente para nadar. No es una playa con arena, está al borde de un acantilado, por lo que te dan flotadores para que puedas colgar en el agua. Tienen un servicio de taxi acuático que nos llevó de positano al club que era tan conveniente. La comida también era muy buena.
15/09/2024: Horrible. Absolutamente horrible. Conocen los reportes de olas con anticipación, pero no te dicen cuando reservas que no podrás nadar. Además, deciden cerrar temprano. 5 pm en lugar de 7 pm y no le diga que luego lo escuchó en un barco o taxi. Horrible no gastar 400 dólares aquí. No vale la pena.

siamo stati a cena, il locale molto bello, le sale all’aperto sono tra il cielo e il mare della costiera, il nome del ristorante rispecchia l’esperienza provata. Piatti di mare con ricette e presentazioni di buon livello. Consigliato
