Set back from the main drag, but with beautiful views and a cooling sea breeze. Wonderful friendly staff, a good choice of seafood dishes, and utterly delicious every time. The cauliflower steak with anchovies was unreal, and I'll be attempting to recreate the lemon and basil tart at home. Worth every penny 🫶🏻

Ab absolutely excellent place. We loved our lunch here. It was delicious. The staff were wonderful and we met that parents of the owner who were charming. The food was perfect and I would definitely come back . Highly highly recommended.

Excellent place! Amazing food! Highlight was the spaghetti with anchovy sauce and the lemon and basil tart! Simple and elecantly delicious! Super friendly staff! We wish we could visit again to try the rest of their dishes! Highly recommend!

I dined at Al Convento and had a truly excellent experience. The cuisine was top-quality, the atmosphere authentic, and the view wonderful, but what made the evening special was Antonio's impeccable service. Antonio is a professional, attentive, and always smiling waiter, capable of making every guest feel welcomed and pampered with great ease. He gave us excellent advice on both dishes and wine, demonstrating his expertise and passion for his work. A special thank you to him for his kindness and helpfulness; people like that really make a difference. We'll definitely be back!

Absolutely perfect. Pasquale, a great host, recommended the exceptional charcoal-grilled seafood sauté. The fried fish was fantastic, and the Cetarese-style linguine was excellent. It's a shame we live 200 km from Cetara; we'd be regulars. Balanced and elegant cuisine, with a respect for the raw ingredients and tradition. Hats off!!!

30/05/2026: Came in here in 2016, and returned twice in 2026 when coming back to Positano. The plating won’t wow you, but the taste has you coming back for more. The views are impeccable, and the fact that this family run is inspirational. There are so many flashy and flavour lacking restaurants in Positano - this spot bucks that trend. Simple, tasty and memorable. It’s a long hike up from the action, but absolutely worth it. Also, it’s always easier walking down than up after you eat - especially with a deliciously full stomach. So just do it. Photos are from all 3 trips spanning a decade :)
30/05/2026: Wow! Finding a non touristy place in Positano is not easily possible. While this is not touristy area their prices truly are but the food is so so amazing. Good - all items we ordered as vegetarian including dessert were wonderful. Reserved the nicest seats before you arrive Bad - they provide shuttle service to your place but we waited for 40 mins and nothing and then when someone shows up they didn’t take us because we are not on their route! We spend $120! And restaurant staff was not helpful at all.
