I was struck by the kindness of the staff, and even though in an informal environment, the attention towards the customer. Their mozzarella (they have their own dairy) is very good. Well done!

Giovanni es un camarero increíble! Los platos eran únicos y cuidadosamente preparados. El ambiente es romántico, velas y música ligera. ¡Volveremos!

21/05/2025: Atmosphere: 4/5 Service: 3/5 Food: 1.5/5 for that level Wine-pairing: 1/5 for that level Price: 1.5/5 As a couple who loves eating at & trying new Michelin Star restaurants, we even fly to other cities just for the restaurants - regularly. We have to say, this was by far the weakest experience - even weaker than many “Michelin recommended” restaurants - & we cannot understand how they received the star, nor can we recommend it for fine-dining. In detail: The restaurant is located on the top floor of a 5* hotel with a great view - even on Mt. Vesuvio. Interior is OK hence 4/5 points. Service was friendly & willing, but neither cordial nor insightful. The sommelier seemed not too knowledgable & couldn‘t share much about the wine. The pairing itself was by far the weakest we’ve had & the wines themselves rather boring, simple, seemed too young & not balanced. (E.g. a Chardonnay, that doesn’t taste like Chardonnay; a cocktail, where they wanted to show creativity, that we really could not drink, etc.) Food was ok but ordinary. It lacked the common sophistication & refinement that Michelin Star restaurants usually have. Some dishes were really boring & others too crazy without being balanced (& we’ve had desserts with garlic elsewhere that were amazing etc. - so we’re open to that). Neither were they balanced within themselves nor amongst each other. Also, it was simply way too much food - esp. on the carbs (e.g. bread course in the middle of the menu - right in a row with risotto & pasta & after we’d had 1x bread at the start already). On the neighboring table, we heard the woman say “I’m so full I can’t eat anything anymore” & the waiter responded “well, you have five more dishes to go”. Is that really the point of fine dining? They couldn‘t really handle the glutenfree menu either - despite having asked before & despite them having reassured us several times at the beginning of the dinner! To give examples: they served beer (as one course of the wine-pairing) - if we hadn‘t asked about it, it would‘ve been too late; bread crumbs as a topper on one dish; don‘t even want to know about the sauces. In a restaurant on that level we do expect - especially when asking several times beforehand - that that is doable. Last but not least, the price of 250€ for the 9-course menu & 145€ for the wine-pairing is everything but justified for this experience. Overall, maybe there was something we missed / didn’t understand in the menu. Though for us, we are going to stick to the many other fine-dining & Michelin Star restaurants there are.

18/05/2025: At the second experience with chef Domenico I must admit that this time he won us all over. With the staff, whom I thank, they pampered and spoiled us from beginning to end and delighted us with excellence in cooking (I had no doubts), in the patterns, in the colors and, most importantly, in the taste. I can only recommend these emotions and, on the terrace with sea view that will open soon, it is worth the trip!

30/05/2025: Tuvimos una excelente experiencia gastronómica en el restaurante dirigido por la familia. El menú ofrece una gran variedad de opciones, especialmente mariscos. El propietario era muy atento, rápido y muy bien informado — sus recomendaciones estaban en el lugar. La carta de vinos fue impresionante, y tanto los sabores como la presentación de los platos fueron sobresalientes. El ambiente era genial. Un antiguo monasterio con un ambiente impresionante. Especialmente la corte era muy acogedor. Recomiendo encarecidamente este lugar y realmente espero volver de nuevo.

10/04/2025: Incredible hospitality during our stay at Il Nido. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed and cared for. Every detail—from the warm greetings to the immaculate rooms, delicious meals, thoughtful service and local tour they arranged —made throughout our stay. It’s rare to come across such genuine care and attention, and we are deeply grateful. Looking forward to revisiting and reliving the magic the hosts Dino & Gianni helped create!

08/06/2025: Among the best pastas we’ve had in Italy. Especially the pesto and Nerone. They are must tries. It really shows that pastas are their specialty.

07/06/2025: A trattoria that mixes meat and fish, innovation and tradition at a very low price. Fixed menu of land at 25€ while seafood at 35€. 7 appetizers 1 first course and 1 dessert. I loved their Genovese which was creamy and rich in meat. Worth it for the quality/price ratio

01/06/2025: We were at this location on Sunday with a reservation for lunch in 9, adults and children. We chose the land menu formula that perfectly reflected what was shown on social media, in fact it far surpassed it as everything that arrived was per person and did not have to be divided and the courses were very abundant. Excellent flavors of home cooking where you can taste all the flavor of the raw material. The menu does not include a second course, but from how the appetizer is structured it can be said that it also fully contains "the second course". First course to choose between the two, they were both exquisite and the dessert was also excellent. The spaces are not very large but it is comfortable and the quality/price ratio is top. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND 🤩🤩

28/05/2025: Personnel pas très agréable ,pas très souriant, à la chaîne , se permet de nous rappeler en sifflant alors que notre addition était bien réglé ! Vrmt très décevant ! Servis les soft dans des gobelets en plastique , le vin dans des verres à limonade ….

29/04/2025: Everything was perfect, the food was excellent and always with a delicate taste, the service was friendly and helpful. We drank a fantastic primitive red, so much so that 8 people drank 6 bottles. Perhaps you are a little tight with respect to the quality of the environment

Kindness, refinement and fair prices, it is worth stopping to drink a good coffee or taste something that is prepared in their kitchen. The guys are all good and smart, the room manager Roberta is a wonderful person and very kind to everyone 🔝

20/05/2025: Staff are very helpful, kind, informative. We spent the day, starting late morning renting chairs, umbrella on the beach. Ordering drinks and lunch. Watched the sunset. It is not a black tie restaurant, it is a great place to spend a day at the beach with casual dining. One item of note, when you order food it will all come at the same time, not as courses. We will probably spend our entire vacation here except for a capri day trip.

12/06/2025: I don't know if I had a bad time, but the ice cream tasted like it was full of ice crystals and the flavors of the flavors were all lost. The cream was good, the ice cream was very abundant.
