11/11/2025: It is walkable from a town of Barisciano. The restaurant has very warm and friendly atmosphere. They have very good quality/ variety of pizzas made by hand and special oven. We enjoyed pizza, veggies and wine. They gave us pretty photos of the area. It added a great memory to the trip.

One afternoon, I decided to treat myself to a break at Bar FratelliNurzia with my son, and it was an elegant, warm, and authentic experience.
The establishment, located in the heart of Piazza Duomo, with its history dating back to 1835 and its art nouveau atmosphere, is perfect for stopping, taking a breather, and enjoying something unique.
We ordered the famous nougat coffee, perfectly balanced between the intense aroma of coffee and the smooth sweetness of the "Nurzia" nougat from L'Aquila.
The texture is enveloping, the flavor delicate yet bold.
This sweet moment complemented the elegance of the establishment and the kindness of the service.
Special thanks to Gianluca and Giuly, the baristas who welcomed us with great kindness, smiles, and professionalism: they guided us in our choices, explaining the history of nougat, and making the break even more special.
And I can't help but mention the owner, Natalia, who, even though she wasn't there, I already know, and I know how much love and care she brings to this family project.
The result? A place where time slows down, flavor is celebrated, and humanity is felt.
A full five-star rating.

01/11/2025: Great surprise. We walked in without any recommendations and it was a great surprise. Very well prepared dishes, good selection of dishes, super friendly host and owner which is also the cook. Every dish was great, and the had wide selection of Gluten free dishes which were excellent. Gluten free deserts as well. Highly recommend.

Exceptional food and a lovely place. They have a terrace for aperitifs/drinks and an indoor dining room. We've been here three times because we loved it. I especially recommend their special appetizer, all the desserts, the first courses (my favorites are the chef's ravioli and nettle gnocchi), and for the second course, the sweet and sour suckling pig and the lamb with cacio e limone!
P.S. On a special note, they have Gaza Cola, one of the few restaurants where we've found it, and we couldn't be happier!

13/09/2025: If you come to Castel di Sangro, you absolutely have to stop and eat here.
A very well-kept restaurant, with attentive and fast staff, and excellent food. Excellent value. My partner and I (we're parents, so we came with our young daughter) split a €24 appetizer and then ordered two first courses. My pappardelle with porcini mushrooms were spectacular. Finally, a lemon sorbet to refresh the palate.
A highly recommended place for new parents. The bathroom also has a changing table for emergencies.

21/11/2025: “Corso Stretto” was a truly pleasant discovery: a small but meticulously crafted restaurant with just a few tables, so reservations are recommended. The menu is refined, innovative without compromising on tradition, and the dishes are always beautifully presented.
We tried: artisanal rigatoni with ricotta, sausage, and truffle: excellent. The gnocchi with pumpkin, porcini mushrooms, and stracciatella were also very good. The suckling pig with truffles and chicory was equally impressive. To finish, the gianduia fondant—original and delicious—and a lemon tartlet, beautiful to look at and delicious.
The prices are fair, especially considering the central location.

On Wednesday evening, I shared dinner with colleagues at Ristorante Grotta di Aligi in L’Aquila, and it was a truly memorable experience. A welcoming atmosphere, soft lighting, and attentive yet unobtrusive service: the perfect place to gather and enjoy.
We began with a selection of local cured meats and cheeses: fragrant, balanced, and carefully presented.
Next, a warm and enveloping chickpea, chestnut, and mushroom soup, rich in authentic flavors.
The first course, a chitarra pasta with ricotta, guanciale, and pecorino cheese, won everyone over: a perfect harmony of softness and savory flavors.
The braised veal in Montepulciano was tender and flavorful, accompanied by potatoes and sautéed chicory that complemented the dish impeccably.
And to finish, a light and delicious cream of fresh fruit, served elegantly.
Sincere thanks to Mario, the owner, for his passion for his work, and applause to the entire staff, especially the lady who welcomed us with kindness and attention. You can sense the teamwork and the desire to make every guest feel at home.
Highly recommended for those seeking a true local cuisine experience in a refined and convivial setting.

02/12/2025: I'm thrilled to share my experience at La Giara Art, a Neapolitan pizzeria in Gallipoli that's a true paradise for pizza lovers! The dough is handmade daily, leavened for at least 24 hours, and the flour used is type 1, derived from locally grown wheat.

The pizzas are true works of art, made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. I tried the special pizza, and it was a real treat! The appetizers and main courses are also excellent, with dishes like the sliced beef with pistachios and stracciatella.

The staff is friendly and helpful, always ready to recommend the perfect dish. The owner is also very friendly and takes great care of his customers.

Sincere compliments. We loved everything, from the appetizers, you could taste the quality and freshness in every bite. The two first courses and the second course... The wild boar cacciatore, which honestly, until now, I've always felt was the strong game, but this is the first restaurant where I've tasted delicacy and, above all, incredible tenderness. Everything, everything, delicious!
With a nice DNA Rosso, priced at €78.00, so excellent value for money! Thank you, it will definitely be our favorite place when we're near L'Aquila! Guaranteed!
