09/07/2025: We discovered this restaurant by chance while returning from a trip, and it turned out to be a delightful surprise. Drawn by the menu, we stopped for dinner and were completely satisfied. We started with the Antica Osteria appetizer, where the ricotta and coratella stood out for their freshness and authentic flavor. Next, we sampled three first courses (as pictured): - tagliatelle with bacon, zucchini, and salted ricotta; - spaghetti with garlic and oil at the Antica Osteria; - maltagliati from Senatore Cappelli pasta with organic tomatoes. All the dishes were well-executed, with quality ingredients and generous portions. The quality/price ratio was also excellent. We greatly appreciated the hospitality of the owner and waitress, both friendly and attentive to the needs of their guests. The outdoor terrace is well-kept, with a beautiful garden, pleasant lighting, and comfortable tables, all in a quiet and peaceful setting, far from the noise of the street. A truly positive experience, I will definitely be back to explore the rest of the menu. Five stars fully deserved.

27/06/2025: This Michelin-listed spot only opens for lunch — and it’s packed for good reason. We tried several dishes, but the standout was definitely the Coratella di agnello (lamb offal with onions and white wine). Rich, savory, and expertly prepared with no gaminess at all — even the lamb liver was juicy and tender, perfect with their fresh bread and olive oil. If you’re curious about bold Abruzzo flavors and exceptional meat dishes, this is the place to go.

24/05/2025: Highly recommended, the service is top! Pampered with professionalism, friendliness and the right speed. Beautiful room, not too big, in an ancient building near the church of S. Maria della Tomba. Menu with quality Abruzzo dishes, extensive wine list. House dessert. An excellent stop in Sulmona.

24/04/2025: As a regular visitor to Rocchi I returned to have dinner at the Pozzo. I confirm my opinion, best restaurant on the plateau. Serious cuisine, without truffle concoctions or false sophistication. They cook well, classic, good dishes, based on the raw materials, without cheating and cunning, a pleasant environment, compared to the competition I would say, elegant. This time Abruzzo-style lamb, stewed, splendid. Quality cheeses, cabbage and potato side dishes and sautéed chicory, really well done. They're good, period. Nice, elegant place carved into the rock on the top of Ovindoli but you can park nearby. Highly recommended also for average prices in a place well above average.

11/07/2025: Fantastic food! Excellent quality and very tasty. They were also flexible and made a special pasta dish for me, a vegetarian. The dining room is also beautifully decorated. The service was very friendly and prompt. Perfect after touring Amiternum.

29/06/2025: A historic pastry shop where you can breathe tradition and pride. Torrone, in all its possible variations, is a delight. You absolutely have to try the coffee with torrone melted inside, unforgettable. We left with a bag of products to take home. For us who come from the town of the very famous Scaldaferro torrone, in the province of Venice, it was nice to get to know a traditional one that is equally prestigious. Torrone can truly be an art.

15/07/2025: My family and I stopped for lunch on our way back from Campo Imperatore. The restaurant is very well-kept and bright. The staff, two young women, are very kind and precise in describing the dishes on the menu. We had two appetizers, three first courses, and three second courses.... Everything was delicious and full of delicious flavors.... I'm from Veneto, and in my region, tripe is a traditional dish. Here, I ate fried tripe for the first time.... Delicious. We'll definitely be back... Keep up the good work!

13/07/2025: Excellent restaurant under new management by a group of young, enterprising, and deserving young people. Traditional dishes revisited with a modern twist: everything was truly delicious (we tried the slow-cooked egg, slow-rising focaccia with anchovies, stale bread, spaghetti with 2 tomatoes, gnocchi, and fried tripe). Friendly, helpful staff and fast service. Fair prices. We'll be back and I recommend it without hesitation. An experience not to be missed.

28/05/2025: Very welcoming and well-kept place, noteworthy purchasable mis en place. Fairly varied menu with typical proposals of the area, revisited, but not only. Very kind and helpful staff. Everything very good and with high quality raw materials, I gave 4 stars and not 5 to the food only because the first one, although executed to perfection, did not particularly impress me. Note of merit for the truly excellent baked goods and extensive wine list. I will return.
