04/05/2025: I don't usually write reviews, but this time I couldn't redeem myself. I stayed for just one night in the Paneolio B&B and I was sorry to have to leave. Located in Poggio Picenze, well positioned to visit the beauties of Abruzzo; the family-run b&b represents one of those small businesses that all of us travelers should always reward and choose. In addition to the professionalism and kindness of the girl who welcomed us, the structure with attention to the smallest details and equipped with every comfort has as its strong point a restaurant that is surprising to say the least. Each dish proposed brought the raw materials and authentic taste of this region to the table. I found this restaurant to be superb in terms of quality/price. I have chosen to share this experience of mine with the hope that we can increasingly embrace and support conscious tourism created by realities like this.

01/05/2025: Avevo ospiti amici fiorentini. Ho telefonato alle ore 14.25 per prenotare un tavolo per otto persone alle 20. A causa di un ritardo dei miei amici, alle ore 16.20 ho richiamato per comunicare che saremmo arrivati alle 21, chiedendo se la cosa avesse creato problemi. Mi è stato risposto di no. Siamo arrivati alla spicciolata tra le 20.58 e le 21.10, abbiamo ordinato una prima portata, acqua e vino. La cameriera, dopo aver ritirato i piatti, ha trascurato il tavolo: dunque, trascorsi circa quindici minuti, ho richiamato la sua attenzione per ordinare le pietanze. Erano le 10.25 e ci è stato risposto che non era possibile perché la cucina aveva chiuso. Tale incredibile notizia è stata accompagnata dalla spocchiosa affermazione che, se fossimo arrivati prima, l'inconveniente sarebbe stato evitato. Nulla da eccepire su la scelta degli orari di lavoro, ma ciò che sconcerta è che, nella telefonata delle 16.20, non siamo stati avvisati della cosa, nè tale eventualità ci è stata riferita al momento dell'ordinazione. Abbiamo consumato un dolce e siamo andati via. Chi pretende di fare ristorazione senza conoscere i canoni minimi, non solo dell'accoglienza, ma persino della buona educazione, farebbe bene a cambiare mestiere.

10/03/2025: We usually stop for dinner but one evening after booking we had an unexpected event and we advised to free up the table and asked if takeaway was possible. We were pleasantly surprised by the courtesy and speed, as well as the usual quality and flavors of the meals eaten at home just as if we had been sitting there at the table! Everything delicious and flavors unchanged, including dessert. Look at the photos. I recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to eat really good fish in L'Aquila (but not only), you absolutely must try the raw fish and certainly the carosello, comoleto and exquisite. The service is excellent, everyone is friendly and professional, always with a smile, you feel at ease. Compliments!

22/03/2025: Abbiamo scelto La Maestria per festeggiare il compleanno di mio padre: eravamo in 9 e non potevamo fare scelta migliore. Il pranzo è stato davvero delizioso, con piatti curati e pesce super fresco. La location è molto bella, accogliente e curata nei dettagli, e il personale…semplicemente top! Un plauso speciale a chi gestisce il locale: sono i “vecchi” della Trota, e si vede tutta la loro esperienza e passione in ogni dettaglio. Complimenti sinceri, davvero meritati!

19/03/2025: Large place with large spaces and a well-kept garden. I ate in this establishment for a party and I really enjoyed it. service staff, excellent food, excellent and above all generous and tasty portions recommended.

19/05/2025: We had a really good time. We didn't know this restaurant but it was a really nice discovery. Impeccable service in every way. Delicious mushroom gnocchi and very very good cazzarielli. Really good main courses. But the icing on the cake could only be the chocolate dessert made by them. Really excellent quality-price ratio. We will return many more times and we will also be enthusiastic about passing the word on to our friends.

Maria della Tomba. Menu with quality Abruzzo dishes, extensive wine list. House dessert. An excellent stop in Sulmona.

24/05/2025: Sulmona nice place with a market on Saturday with clothes and local products. We wanted to have lunch at Gino and arrived there at 13:00. Although the restaurant is open until 15:00 and was half empty, they sent us away because "there was no room". Very disappointing

29/03/2025: For us, it is absolutely the best restaurant in Pescocostanzo. Unique ravioli and caramelized onions that melt in your mouth. Even the desserts, homemade, are excellent. Service and kindness from another era. The environment is spacious and you feel at home, but better. Very honest prices.

03/04/2025: When you come to L'Aquila, a stop here is a must. White pizza and fresh mortadella and peroni. Unbeatable, very well stocked with pizza, bread and cold cuts of all kinds. This time I took the white pizza with sfrizzoli but I was not enthusiastic about it, to be honest. For everything else, 10 and praise. I recommend it to everyone who passes by these parts.

26/03/2025: Undoubtedly the best pizza/focaccia in L'Aquila. I find the strange obligation to enter from one door and exit from the other and still maintain the anti-fantacovid barriers a bit out of place and out of time, by now. But that's another story.
