We went to Charlie tonight for the third time and it was just as amazing as we remembered it. The Risotto is a must have dish, every bite is a taste of heaven. Also had a fantastic pizza Diavola. When is Orvieto, be sure to stop here and enjoy great food, great servant great atmosphere! Reservations are recommended just to be sure you are able to get a table!

Passing through Orvieto, I tried this place to try the rabbit a porchetta, a typical Umbrian dish, but really, really good. It's a shame the portion was a bit small. My friends then had a generous amatriciana and a plate of lasagna, also not very large. They also had a sort of caponata, a dessert, and a coffee, with water and a little wine. Lovely place, super friendly and helpful staff, and especially the Asian girl, very nice. See you next time.

The food was absolutely delicious. It was probably the best food I have had in months and I try a lot of different foods. The service was absolutely fantastic the waiters gave us water immediately and bread immediately, and they brought us our food within minutes. And finally the atmosphere. I can’t even describe how amazing it was, it was so delicious and scrumptious. I highly recommend coming here if you are in the area.

19/05/2026: Extremely friendly service with delicious dishes accompanied by exquisite drinks.
17/05/2026: We benefitted from recommendations from our host at our accommodation and gave us 4 restaurants that locals rate highly with Trattoria dell’Orso being one of them. Again, a very popular restaurant where you should book at least a day in advance. We started by sharing a special tagliatelle ai asparagi with freshly made tagliatelle and sweet asparagus in a subtle cream sauce. A very nice dish to start. I then had the stuffed pigeon, a specialty of Orvieto from medieval times where the pigeons were raised in caves on the cliff edge. The pigeon was beautifully tender and the stuffing lovely. My wife had the salted cod in a chickpea puree which was very enjoyable. We shared a tiramisu that had a custard top rather than cream - very light and airy. The only disappointment was the house Orviet Classico which was a little sharp for our taste. Overall a lovely dining experience.

13/04/2026: The staff were friendly and helpful, and the food was truly delicious! I recommend it for a quick lunch or a drink with friends. We tried the torta al testo and the charcuterie board: both were excellent.
