30/08/2024: Unfortunately only discovered on the last day. Self-service restaurant with the best pizza I have eaten in Lignano. Everything else looked good too. If I had known about the restaurant beforehand, I would have only eaten here. There is NO service fee like in all other restaurants, usually €3-4 per person, and you are not dependent on annoyed service staff or long waiting times. Definitely recommended.

08/08/2024: Frequento questo posto da trentanni solo perche il Caffe e’ buono e valida la scelta sei prodotti. Il servizio lascia sempre a desiderare. Personale sempre svogliato (tranne rare rarissime eccezioni) e senza alcun garbo o attenzione al servizio. Si salva solo il titolare, che pero’ pregherei controllasse un po’ I suoi dipendenti

06/08/2024: Se fossero disponibili 6 stelle, le metterei. Qualità del cibo eccellente, gentilezza ed ambiente familiare, ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo. Consigliatissimo a tutte le persone che (come me) adorano la cucina tipica regionale.

29/07/2024: Vanavond hebben wij hier gegeten en dat was heel aangenaam. De service was plezierig; de sfeer was relaxed en gastvrij. Het eten was erg lekker! De ingrediënten waren heerlijk vers en de gerechten waren goed op smaak. Mijn zoon heeft genoten van zijn pasta met zeevruchten! Wat een heerlijke saus. Ik at lekkere sarde in saor en daarna zeebaarsfilet. Deze was goed gebakken en het gerecht werd vergezeld door heerlijke aardappeltjes uit de oven. De prijs voor deze zeer royale maaltijd was zeer schappelijk. Een aanrader.

19/07/2024: På vägen hem från ett soligt Kroatien tog vi en omväg för att få uppleva lite Italien. Stannade husbilen på ställplatsen bredvid restaurangen och njöt av värme pool och en vänlig miljö. Restaurangen var mycket större än vi förväntat oss och hade fler gäster än vi trott under kvällen eftersom den ligger lite utanför centrum. Vi åt både ragu, Vongole och Frutte de mare. Bra service och bra mat med stora portioner till ett mycket rimligt pris. Rekommenderas verkligen.

23/07/2024: I have been coming to Lignano for many years and yesterday I wanted to eat a good fried fish and I found it! But I also found a good pizza, good wine in a carafe (not just the usual very expensive bottles) courteous service and a table set like a "real" restaurant (no paper tablecloths and napkins but fabric 👍🏻). Good desserts but the tiramisu was a little skimpy. Prices are not exactly popular but, considering the service, the tourist area and the period, I would say that they are correct and adequate. But more than anything I left satisfied, so money well spent and an excellent choice.

04/07/2024: Con la precedente gestione di padre e figlia il locale era una tappa fissa: professionalità, creatività ed eccellenza nella ricerca delle materie prime erano la norma. È un delitto vedere tanta storia gettata alle ortiche e affidata alle mani dell'attuale presenza, perché neanche di "gestione" sì può parlare, ma solo di incapacità, improvvisazione e pure arroganza laddove, ad una legittima osservazione sulla pietanza, si riceve come risposta "noi facciamo così ". Ho quindi pagato il cibo che non ho consumato perché preconfezionato da supermercato e impresentabile, e ho chiuso definitivamente alle mie spalle quella porta che tante volte avevo varcato con piacere e piena soddisfazione.

20/06/2024: The hotel has new owners. I stayed there for one night at the end of May because I was hiking on the Alpe Adria Trail. The accommodation is perfect for this! The room was clean, the service was great, the breakfast was plentiful with homemade cake. There's a restaurant opposite where I had dinner. The bus to Cividale leaves directly from the monastery. Very nice staff!

16/08/2024: The strong point is undoubtedly the location; ideal for outdoor dining. For the rest, it doesn't stand up to comparison with other restaurants and farmhouses of the same level in the area. The products used are of good quality, but not all the dishes are completely successful. The portions, then, are small to say the least. The sore point is certainly the service, distracted and confused (apart from the waiter with the moustache). Those who take the orders, on the other hand, are poorly organised, know little about what they are offering and move too easily from apparent formality/friendliness to total indifference. Customers must all be treated in the same way and more attention must be paid to the tables. Not to some more and to others less.
