27/08/2025: We ate at the restaurant today, and the servers were all very attentive and friendly! It was completely packed, but everything went quickly, and the food was excellent. We'll definitely be back!

19/08/2025: Breakfast was poor. Being Italians, we prefer sweet foods, but at this hotel, breakfast was mostly savory. They had more cold cuts than sweet options. Only two types of croissants, and rarely any cakes. Service was almost nonexistent. We constantly had to alert the staff when water and cups were out.

06/05/2025: This is a lovely shop with a superb location. Enjoy a great, dense, and well-done coffee and pastries while relaxing and watching people pass by. I spent three days in Udine, and this was my place to go every morning. Do not leave without trying their natural juices.

26/04/2025: I sit down for a simple coffee and order a small red pizza for my 15 month old daughter. Tragedy. Scandal. The little girl doesn't eat it. An event which evidently deeply disturbed the staff. In the meantime, I'm in the bathroom (they thought I'd gone away) and I hear them squawking in front of the other customers at the counter: "Well, obviously she didn't eat it, but how can you get a pizza from a one-year-old?" And more. Thanks so much for the pearl of educational wisdom, ladies. Maybe next time, in addition to coffee, will you sell me your manual on child nutrition? But how sad is it that women judge each other so quickly? Bar not recommended for those who expect a minimum of respect. Excellent if you want coffee and middle school comments

15/07/2025: I ordered a kebab piadina, which I can say is one of the worst I've ever eaten. Unfortunately, I can't tell if the meat is good or not, as there's so little of it, it seemed like a vegetarian sandwich. Never again.

23/06/2025: very small kebab compared to the others, in addition to that I couldn't even put the chips inside but had to buy them for another 3€ separately, only the kebab cost 7€ unlike other kebabs that cost around 5-6€. the place is nothing special and the service too.

25/08/2025: Incredible, out-of-this-world atmosphere. High-quality food. Reasonably priced. Highly recommended.

23/08/2025: We had fond memories of this place: sandwiches with fantastic raw ham that melted in your mouth, fragrant bread, and fabulous tiramisu. The atmosphere looks the same as it used to, but inside there's a strong smell of smoke, and the napkins they brought us smelled of damp and mold. The sandwiches we ordered were edible but not of the highest quality, given the price they're asking.

17/08/2025: It took half an hour to get two spritzes from your order. Not to mention the wait time to order. A spectacular place like this needs better staff and better organization!

10/07/2025: The castle restaurant, in addition to offering a panoramic view, has preserved its historical heritage in its two large dining rooms and in the building itself, as well as a relaxing outdoor courtyard overlooking the castle. The menu is typically respectful of Friulian tradition. The tagliolini are good, and the frico is decent, but not beautifully presented. As for the table wine, I would avoid the Merlot and opt for the Cab. Franc. The staff is young and friendly. The prices are a bit higher than usual, especially for drinks. Unfortunately, although there is also an elevator, this historic restaurant has become less and less popular.

26/08/2025: Very close to the beach, the bar is cute and welcoming. The waitress was friendly. It's a shame they didn't have the pancakes we wanted to try (the batter ran out from the weekend), but I settled for a yogurt bowl with bananas and strawberries. It was small for the price (€5.90) ​​but refreshing, even though it was missing some ingredients like the chocolate chips. I also ordered an iced matcha latte with strawberry. What I got was a slop with industrial strawberry syrup, brownish matcha that didn't taste like matcha, and a layer of milk that didn't even mix with the rest. Unfortunately, it was undrinkable! For €5.00, the strawberries should at least be fresh and made on the spot, and the matcha should taste like matcha (either too little was used or it wasn't good quality). I'm speaking from having tried quite a few; in fact, this drink has been available in Milanese cafes for a while. Before suggesting the latest trends, it would be best to test them out! It's a shame, because I've been wanting to try their breakfast options for a while!

13/08/2025: The best coffee blend in Lignano. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Excellent food; the airy focaccia Bolognese is highly recommended. Definitely worth a try!

14/05/2025: The cappuccinos are really beautiful and very good, the brioches are delicious and Lorena is always on top and friendly!

06/06/2025: I stopped here for lunch, which should have a fixed-price menu to help workers. I decided to save some money by asking to bring only the second course with side dish. When it came to the bill, they asked me for €14 and when I asked for an explanation, they told me that by taking just one course it was made more abundant so the cost was the same as the full menu. Basically, I paid €14 for 4 slices of grilled pork loin filled with salt, half a spoonful of polenta, a portion of mixed salad, water and coffee. Practically a steal, I definitely won't be back.

13/02/2025: If you order a first course or a side dish, you'll pay the same as the full menu, something I've never found anywhere else.

24/08/2025: We stopped for an aperitivo. We thought we'd give a chance to historic establishments in Udine, rather than the usual overcrowded, trendy ones. We sat down and ordered a Malvasia and a Spritz Hugo. They arrived in two tavern-style glasses, accompanied by chips as old as the place. We finished both glasses in one go. Knowing the Malvasia producer, she must have been treated badly. Not to mention the Hugo. The same amount as the white wine and without ice, with still wine on tap. Total: 9 euros. Needless to say, for us, the experience ended there.

23/08/2025: One of the nicest aperitivo in the area! The tarts were incredibly delicious, peefect selection of wines!!! The owner wasn't the most attentive and kid but the location compensated!

20/07/2025: The portions are small, the chicken has very little meat and costs a whopping €15. The €2.50 cover charge is absurd when you eat with your hands. Return it. You'll eat better at a festival.

16/07/2025: Beautiful environment, we got the food quite quickly after ordering and it was delicious. The beer was also good compared to all the Italian pubs. The only thing I would criticize is that after eating and finishing the beer, no one came to see us. The pub was empty and there were at least 8 staff members. We wanted to have another beer but after a 10m wait I went to pay and we had a beer somewhere else.

27/07/2025: Very good food, very fast service and normal price for a kebab, for the rest piadinas and bread made with a particular and very good technique

27/06/2025: Until a couple of years ago the best in Udine. This evening, for the third time in 5 days, terrible service (entered to order and not counted. Three non-Italians arrive and are served immediately. I kindly ask for a maxi sandwich for €9.00 and they prepare the same size as the previous customers who paid €6.00. I ask in preparation if they don't put cucumbers (I can't digest them with the peel) and, without even saying it, they fill the sandwich with them. As for the meat, they put maybe 1/4 or better 1/6 of what was stuffed for their compatriots. I'm not a prejudiced or racist person, but 3 times out of 3 they make a certainty. Ps. I tasted the sandwich and threw it away because of the acid in the condiments (not requested). I'm sorry, but absolutely to be avoided!

19/07/2025: Il personale è scortese, il cibo non è all’altezza dei prezzi ed è un altro posto dove si capisce che i bambini sono mal tollerati. Non ci torneremo mai più e faremo loro una pessima pubblicità.
