31/05/2025: I have been here several times for the convenience compared to parking. Service lacking care, rushed and without the slightest welcome. Today however the manager at the cashier was extremely rude, arrogant and aggressive. Personally it was the last time.

20/06/2025: I stayed for four nights in one of the rooms at Osteria Al Cappello. The environment is very nice and well-kept, the room is comfortable, the staff is young, discreet and very kind. The structure is located right in the center, in a strategic point from which you can easily reach the places of greatest interest in the city on foot. The environment in which it is located is quiet, so you can rest well. The room has air conditioning, a mini fridge daily stocked with two bottles of water and one of fruit juice. It is possible to have breakfast in the room with biscuits, jam and a kettle for herbal tea/tea/coffee. It is also possible to have lunch or dinner at the Osteria: the quality/price ratio is advantageous. Recommended structure.

26/05/2025: Really delicious desserts, you can feel the care and quality. The staff was kind and welcoming, creating a pleasant atmosphere. The only sore point is the coffee: unfortunately it tastes of rubber and wood, typical of a product that is too commercial. The barista was very good, but with such a raw material it is difficult to work miracles. I would recommend aiming for a higher quality blend, it would be a big step forward.

03/05/2025: Nice place where you can have breakfast sitting at the tables. Inside there is the part dedicated to the bakery and the bar-pastry part. There is only one small men's and women's bathroom.

11/12/2024: Collocato in posizione un po’ isolata sulla strada per il monte Matajur, Vartacia accoglie i suoi ospiti con un ampio parcheggio, una bella vista verso la valle, ed una bella casa in pietra, all’esterno della quale tavoloni e panche lasciano intendere che la bella stagione porti con sé merende e pranzi all’aria aperta. Abbiamo visitato per la prima volta questa trattoria, approfittando dell’evento “Invito a Pranzo d’Autunno”, che dal 1989 accomuna diversi ristoranti delle Valli del Natisone, nel proporre, nelle giornate intorno ai weekend dei mesi di ottobre e novembre, menù su prenotazione, basati su ingredienti stagionali e del territorio, elaborati dagli chef all’insegna della tradizione, della fantasia e della creatività. L’ingresso avviene al piano terra, in una sala che ospita il bancone, il bar, ed alcuni tavoli; la sala da pranzo vera e propria si trova al primo piano, ampia e con pochi tavoli, a garantire tranquillità ed una certa intimità. Il giovane che gestisce sia il bar che la sala da pranzo al primo piano si è mostrato gentile e molto pronto a soddisfare le nostre richieste. Abbiamo ordinato da bere, vino rosso Cabernet della casa ed acqua minerale, per poi dare il via al menù proposto da locale; abbiamo iniziato con un antipasto, consistente in un flan di zucca, con fonduta di “Formadi Frant” e noci leggermente caramellate. Siamo poi passati a tre assaggi di primi piatti: una crema di porcini e castagne, dei ravioli ripieni di porcini e noci, con burro fuso e polvere di noci tostate, e gnocchi ai mirtilli con ragù di selvaggina. A seguire, come secondo piatto, arrosto di maiale ai funghi, con contorni di štakanje e insalata mista. Per concludere, una bavarese al latte e miele, con salsa ai cachi e croccante alle noci. Alcuni cibi deliziosi, alternati ad altri che non hanno incontrato molto i miei gusti, mi portano ad orientarmi sui piatti più tradizionali e collaudati.

19/11/2024: We went for dinner to try the menu offered for the "Invitation to lunch in the Natisone Valleys" event Menu consisting of a starter, three first courses, a second course and dessert. Portions are not large but they fill you up properly. All accompanied by a good cabernet. Very good service from the nice and friendly Jacopo. Well done chef and owner of the restaurant. We will return with pleasure, perhaps for lunch, to admire the beauty of the place.

22/06/2025: All the staff were very friendly...pizza was superb...prices were reasonable...the atmosphere was upscale with cloth napkins...we will definitely be back again this week but later in the evening...they had just opened and only served pizza...but it was very tasty 😋 🤤Pizza Diavola and Pizza Capriciosa...Grazie

21/06/2025: Excellently organized, courteous and helpful staff. Very good food. The outdoor garden is splendid, especially if you have children. Excellent for dinners with family or friends, as well as for larger groups.

09/06/2025: Tragedy, never visit this hotel. We went there on a class trip. The food was terrible, even disgusting I would say. Everyone was complaining, imagine that after first meal the waitress (the only one for 65 people) came and wiped our forks with a handkerchief and expected us to eat next dish with them. Absolutely unacceptable in the hotel. The only edible thing was tiramisu. Later it was just worse. We entered the room which stinked with cigarettes. Then we went to the bathroom which was dirty - hair in the shower, some strange yellow mucus on toilet seat. My friends had mold in their room which was painted, but still visible. They also found hair in their bed sheets. Absolutely disgusting. But the worst and the most threating turned out to be the strange substance on the shutters in our room - it looked like blood. Also our window was destroyed, it kinda fell out when we opened it. The staff clearly didn't even try to clean the room and in the end we argued with them and only then they gave us a substitute apartment which, in comparison, was clean. The only good thing was the breakfast - it was bought in the supermarket, but at least it was edible. So to sum it up, we don't recommend this hotel. It was a terrible experience. Never again.

31/05/2025: Nel centro storico di Udine si trova questa trattoria molto accogliente dove viene servita un'ottima cucina tipica friulana, personale gentilissimo, buon rapporto qualità-prezzo.

28/05/2025: Das nette Lokal ist hier unterbewertet! Friulanische Küche auf sehr gutem Niveau. Einfach und ehrlich. Deshalb ist es auch mal schwer, einen Tisch zu bekommen. Die Preise sind sind fair und das Ambiente originell. Sehr viele Einheimische als Gäste. Wir können das Lokal nur wärmstens empfehlen

17/03/2025: More or less good pizza, very heavy dough. PERSONALLY I had a great difficulty digesting it, it remained on my stomach for 2/3 hours. I wouldn't go back.

30/12/2024: He estado visitando esta pizzería desde que era un niño y estoy en el lado equivocado de 45. Esta última visita tuvimos a mi hijo pequeño que es un dolor para atender (nd) , pero eran grandes y encima de las patatas fritas gratis, le hicieron un pequeño plato de pan de pizza plana recién cocinado, que le encantó. Disfrutamos de nuestra hermosa pizza y pasta con algunos viejos amigos y era como en los viejos tiempos. Hay algunos buenos pizzeros en Codroipo, y el Medaglia sigue siendo uno de los mejores.
