08/12/2024: Entrati in quattro per un aperitivo, tavolo prenotato da mio cugino in occasione del suo compleanno ... Dopo aver aspettato un po' ci indicano il tavolo, da cui si erano appena alzate delle persone, ci sediamo e rimaniamo lì con il tavolo da sparecchiare... Dopo 10 min, sollecitati, ci portano il menù, senza sparecchiare... Dopo un po' tornano e portano via le stoviglie, lasciando tovagliette e briciole dei clienti precedenti.... Passa ancora del tempo e nessuno viene né a pulire né a prendere l'ordine, anzi servono con cura il tavolo accanto a noi, vedendo bene che noi siamo lì in attesa e con un tavolo sporco! Risultato :dopo 45 minuti usciamo, senza aver consumato nulla, siamo andati altrove per fare l'aperitivo. Non ci è mai successo di abbandonare un posto, siamo rimasti spiacevolmente colpiti dalla poca professionalità.

07/03/2025: Historic pastry shop near the center of Cavriago. Spacious and modern inside, vast assortment of various pastries/mignons. I found it not very salty, but it was late afternoon. Normal prices, professional staff. I recommend investing more attention in the visibility of the cakes. Advised!

27/10/2024: Pastries taken to take away on Sunday morning, but you can feel that they are not fresh. Cream puffs and cannellini beans that taste old. Too bad, in the past I remembered them being better.

12/11/2024: I went in with two of my friends to sit and have a chat. The music was very loud so we decided to go to the second room. The music was still very loud so, after ordering, we asked if they could turn it down in the second room (where there were only us); upon request, the waitress responds in a very arrogant manner by saying that "we cannot make such requests having ordered two waters and a beer", as if turning down the music (in an empty room) were a request that required an incredible financial expense . We go to pay and say we were treated badly and get the same arrogant fucking response. It ruined our evening for nothing, I don't recommend it, customers don't treat each other like that, especially if they make a request in a polite manner not wanting to disturb those who perhaps wanted loud music.

29/08/2024: We took a trio of first courses with rosettes, green tortelli and pasta with hare sauce at a disproportionate cost for the actual quality, not to mention the house wine, both white and red, which were really very poor in quality despite the price, in general the location was beautiful and the service of the young waiters (the owner or in any case the older gentleman in the room dances on the border of rudeness almost seeming as if he has never managed a room and customers) for the rest we spent 40 euros each for 14 of us starters, trio of first courses, 3 sorbets and 4 bitters. Value for money definitely worth reviewing

24/08/2024: Very nice place, but food too expensive. We had a group dinner and spent €43 per person for eating very little. I will never go back there again. They charged us €1 per person for the cake service.

04/02/2025: Disappointing experience. We went to this place for an aperitif and, after ordering and consuming calmly, we were told that we had to order something else or leave because they had to seat other customers. I understand the need to optimize the seats available, but such an attitude completely ruins the experience. A restaurant should make customers feel at ease, not put pressure on them to increase the number of seats. If you want a place to relax and enjoy an aperitif without feeling "timed out", I recommend you look elsewhere

22/03/2025: Disappointing experience at Sali e Tabacchi: a misplaced display of luxury My recent experience at Sali e Tabacchi on the occasion of a birthday party proved to be deeply unsatisfactory. The dinner, defined as such with indulgence, highlighted a culinary quality well below expectations, bordering on mediocrity. The organization of the spaces proved to be lacking, with the diners being arranged too close together, which compromised comfort and conviviality. The management of specific dietary needs, particularly regarding vegetarian options, was characterized by a clear lack of attention and sensitivity. The response given to my friend, who had communicated her preferences in advance, appeared negligent and superficial. The environment, which aspires to an image of elegance and refinement, comes up against a series of inconsistencies: the limited acceptance of payment circuits, the questionable reinterpretation of traditional dishes such as cappellacci carbonara, and the incorrect preparation of cocktails, such as my gin and tonic with gazzosa instead of tonic, are just some examples of incomplete and approximate management. In summary, Sali e Tabacchi presents itself as a poor imitation of a luxury experience, with a selection at the entrance that contrasts sharply with the internal disorganization, the mediocre quality of the food and the sloppy preparation of the drinks. I would strongly advise against it to anyone looking for a top-notch culinary and entertainment experience.

18/03/2025: Extremely unkind and rude bodyguards, we knocked at the entrance to ask for information and despite the kindness and the proclaimed education and the appropriate dress code they chased us away like dogs without any explanation, crazy stuff, never seen anything like this in such a renowned place in Reggio Emilia, not recommended

06/04/2025: Delicious and plentiful food, price within everyone's reach... ok! BUT SUPER DISORGANIZED IN THE APERITIF. YOU CAN'T BOOK, YOU CAN'T KEEP TABLES STILL, YOU CAN'T GO THERE AND STAY IN LINE FOR HALF AN HOUR AND THEN LEAVE BECAUSE PEOPLE SIT FOR 3 HOURS AND THE STAFF DOESN'T EVEN LOOK IF THEY EAT OR NOT! I'M SORRY BUT THIS IS A BIG FLA... MAYBE THE ONLY ONE BUT TOO SERIOUS.

15/01/2025: Sono anni che frequento questa trattoria ma purtroppo dopo vari intoppi sono ritornato dopo un paio di anni e mi trovo costretta a scrivere una recensione..... Premesso che eravamo in due a pranzo preso le stesse cose che ho sempre mangiato (antipasto con salume e 4 pezzi di gnocco per una persona), tris di primi (tagliatelle alla selvaggina, tortelli in brodo, e tortelli verdi), due piccole ciotole per secondo si selvaggina (cinghiale e capriolo), una tagliata (rucola e parmigiano),contorno di patate al forno, due bottiglie di vino, 2 caffe, tre piccoli pezzi di tote della casa. Totale 126 Euro Prezzo da ristorante stellato e non da trattoria, praticamente il doppio dei prezzi ho sempre pagato in questa locanda. Fate attenzione chiedete prima un menu con i prezzi perche la sorpresa arriva alla cassa!!!

23/03/2025: Excellent products, shame about the lack of attention to the customer. Arrived for a coffee and mignon 30 minutes before closing, and practically thrown out because the machine was already turned off and the only possibility of take-away service for the dessert. Also a shame because I was in the company of a skeptical person, just to make her change her mind on the spot. Difficult to be able to return, with these premises 🤷‍♀️

18/01/2025: Cafeteria with pastry shop. The place is very small and it is difficult to move around. The staff is friendly but you often have to wait at the checkout to pay. Brioches and pastries are normal but the price is really too high, 3.90 euros for cappuccino and croissants are exaggerated for a place on the outskirts of Reggio Emilia, in the San Maurizio area!
