21/01/2026: We went to Elvi, the owner and a longtime friend of my mother, for Christmas lunch in 2025. We had a wonderful time. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. The place is a bar with a trattoria corner, not very large, but with very modern and colorful furnishings. Typical Reggio Emilia food, all homemade and of high quality, with generous portions. You won't leave hungry. I recommend it. Giorgia

08/09/2025: Beautiful place Unfortunately, the room wasn't clean; in fact, the shower gel provided was used and open, and there were no towels. The ground-floor room has no curtains; you have to keep them closed because they can see inside. The first-floor room has an external bathroom, and it's not specified on Booking. I don't think I'll return.

01/09/2025: We booked here because it has very good reviews. However, the food fell short of our expectations. We ordered a €20 main course, but it was absolutely not up to par: it was porchetta with potatoes and caramelized apples. A tray of food arrived with very little food, and instead of apples, it was fried polenta. NO ONE told us that the apple had been substituted with something else (not knowing if anyone was allergic to anything, they took the risk anyway, which was a serious matter). Finally, the dessert cost €7, as if it were Sal De Riso's. We ordered them thinking they would be good, given the price. But it was absolutely not worth it. Honestly, for a total of €70, I feel a bit scammed. Furthermore, there was a group of people who arrived late because there was a cycling race, and the owner (?) came out to get them since they had arrived late and needed to find out. Which is absurd, considering they were supposed to be the ones to notify the customers (who probably aren't from the area). Terrible attitude, and we went there to try the dishes and see if it was possible to have our wedding there, but then we realized the situation. And later, through the comments, I also found out that they ruined someone else's wedding, so honestly, never again.

24/05/2026: The place itself is nice, but the rest is definitely not. We sat down at 12:30 and ordered around 12:50, and the food arrived at 1:40. Does that seem normal?! The quality of the food was acceptable (more or less), but the service was terrible. I didn't like one dish, so they insisted on having it taken away. I've been to many restaurants in the area, but overall, this is the worst.

04/04/2026: My review only concerns the takeout pizzas I ordered. To be honest, they're absolutely average, and the ingredients aren't great either. The problem is the dough, which is "bready," almost dry, just like classic frozen pizzas. Another major drawback is the usual, completely illegitimate, "no separate billing" sign, which is always very popular around here. I won't comment on the other dishes I haven't tried, but the pizza is a no-go.

06/10/2025: The varied selection is very interesting, and it's nice to be able to see the dishes on display so you can choose them without having to read them on the menu. The burger is mediocre. The focaccia is very good. The price is too high for me. A normal worker certainly wouldn't be able to take a lunch break every day. Too bad.

13/09/2025: Breakfast is definitely not recommended: crazy prices, typical of central Milan, for average-quality pastries (obviously compared to other vegan options) and a very average cafe. Lunch is better: a wide selection of well-designed and very good vegan dishes. Prices remain high, but overall acceptable considering the quality.

01/06/2026: Had dinner at the restaurant. The atmosphere was 1970s-style, drab, and poorly maintained. The food was poor quality. The fried gnocchi tasted like fish. The eel with peas tasted like nothing at all. The fried catfish was the best choice overall. Prices weren't too expensive overall, but they were too high for the quality of the food and the ambiance of the place.

31/05/2026: Hotel in a convenient and quiet location with a beautiful view, very helpful and friendly staff, and clean and modern rooms. Excellent service, we will gladly return.

21/10/2025: Trattoria da Gian, Via Piana 31, Cerreto Alpi: Just before reaching the Baron's Bridge and tackling the final hairpin bends before the Cerreto Pass, discover the ancient stone village of Cerreto Alpi. Above, you'll find the old town perched around the church; below, practically on the banks of the Secchia River, the old mill, a charming three-arched stone building. The whole thing makes this place magical. Walking up to the church, you'll find this simple trattoria, da Gian, in a small square. Mountain-style in appearance, in heart, in flavors, and in the simplicity of the few dishes on the menu. A favorite of Lindo Ferretti (formerly a member of the CCCP), the tortelli or tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms are always available, guaranteed to come from the surrounding woods. Simple and authentic ingredients, the scent of beech wood, authentic polenta, fragrant ragù, wild boar stew, and simple homemade desserts. Peace and good food. 20/10/2025: Cerreto Alpi's only restaurant takes advantage of the village's beauty, its natural setting, and its location, a hub for dozens of hiking groups. The place is very charming, and the staff are extremely helpful. Downsides are the bathroom doors that don't lock, and the fact that there's no POS terminal (though if you book in advance, you'll be informed). Traditional cuisine with a good selection of dishes, though they're cooked to a standard standard. The price, however, is inadequate for the cuisine. Prices should be clearly indicated on the menu.

16/04/2026: I chose this place for my birthday based on the positive reviews, but... I think something has changed. The owner was UNSPECIFIABLE, constantly yelling at the waitress, humiliating her, while he kept telling us to speak softly, whispering, "punishing us." Furthermore, an hour wait between courses seemed excessive, so much so that by the end it was 4 PM and we weren't hungry anymore. Speaking of the menu, they didn't serve me gluten-free bread, but packaged crackers, while the "famous fresh pasta" was INDUSTRIAL PRODUCTS and dried pasta. Finally, it was almost impossible to communicate with them on the phone and try to create a menu, as they kept repeating that we would make decisions on the spot, somewhat haphazardly, giving no assurances. At least 1 star goes to the location, which is beautiful and an oasis of peace... a peace unfortunately ruined by its unkind owner. Finally, I want to reiterate to the waitress, if she reads this: you were wonderful and special to us. HOLD ON, GIRL!!!🫶🏻 UPDATES: About a month after my review, the restaurant posted an Instagram story mentioning/tagging me in connection with my review. 12/01/2026: 25 years of touring, never happened before! We had a dinner and night reservation confirmed days ago, but we arrived at 9:30 PM and everything was closed. We called and there was no answer. We called again and she told us that her dad was sick and she was leaving. Could you have let us know during the trip? With all due respect for the human aspect of the situation, we absolutely didn't find the same level of respect. She didn't even apologize, and as soon as we pointed out that she should have let us know, she got angry and hung up the phone. We were in January at -2°C, not knowing where to go. Congratulations, wishing the dad all the best, and I advise the owner to change jobs; her hands were stolen from agriculture.

11/12/2025: This is my second time staying at this property for work, and it's proven to be an excellent choice for the area! The highlight is the restaurant, where, without having to travel far, you can enjoy delicious dishes, from appetizers to desserts, and excellent wines. The pleasant and friendly staff rounds it all off. I highly recommend it.

12/11/2025: We celebrated our wedding anniversary here, we trusted Luca's advice and we did well. A trio of appetizers, trofie with shrimp, clams and pesto, a sea bass fillet in a potato, caper and cherry tomato crust. Everything was delicious and the service was attentive and friendly. Highly recommended!
