I returned to this place after 18 years, and it's remained exactly as it was: a step back in time, into the authenticity and simplicity of a place frozen in time, and the extremely kind and helpful owners. The menu is characterized by simplicity; it feels like eating at grandma's house, where the love of those who cooked it shines through. The gnocco fritto and cured meats, pumpkin tortelli, and tiramisu are delicious. The price is reasonable. I'll return as soon as I can, because I always prefer a simple trattoria where the focus is on the good food, not the ostentation, rather than a Michelin-starred restaurant!

It is located at Via Argine 5...in Boretto Lido...province of Reggio Emilia. It is open and closes at 11:00 pm...this restaurant is located in a very quiet place completely surrounded by nature, near the banks of the Po. Here you are adjacent to the old pontoon bridge that divides Emilia from Lombardy... which has now become the new museum of the Pontieri which can be visited with a guide... inside you can find tools... memorabilia... that recall the life of the Pontieri, here you can also find a large photographic repertoire... plus a beautiful exhibition that talks about the life of the Bridge, you should know that on the bridge in the 50s... the scenes of the film Don Camillo and Peppone were filmed, in this whole area you can find the Albergo and the Trattoria del Pesce... which is family-run... where you can eat typical dishes based on fried river fish, catfish, eels, and small fish... plus first courses all homemade... and also pumpkin and spinach tortelli.
