28/09/2025: Everything is very beautiful, but the service is terrible. The girl rolls her eyes and shows her disrespect for the customer with her appearance. I won't be coming back. It's a shame. Fifthly, the atmosphere is really great.

26/12/2025: Everything was perfect! A beautiful, large, well-kept, and welcoming room, furnished in 1990s-style wood, which is especially nice during the Christmas season with the snow outside! The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, the prices were average, and the food was delicious, to say the least. It felt like going back to grandma's house for the flavors and traditional menu! Absolutely!

14/12/2025: Delicious and carefully prepared traditional cuisine, prepared just as it should be!!! Exceptional fresh pasta. It takes you back in time, with carefully set tables, and an elegant and welcoming dining room with a roaring fireplace, even though the building's exterior shows signs of age. They didn't give us a menu, but simply announced the specials of the day. Friendly and attentive service, average prices.

09/03/2026: A charming, modern setting with a beautiful display of artisanal products typical of Emilia and beyond. When you look at the menu, it gives you an impression of traditional Reggio Emilia cuisine, but it's a shame I didn't notice the same thing on the plate. Judging by the dishes we received, the person cooking has no idea how to cook them. We ordered the Erbazone Reggiano, and the plate arrived with five pieces of spinach flan, which was also very greasy (photo). It's a real disrespect for tradition and the customer. The baked potatoes, on the other hand, were literally soaked in something that wasn't oil; it was more like some sort of butter or a mix, inedible. Everything else was more or less average. The only positive was the proper, Italian extra virgin olive oil.

02/09/2025: A very rustic place, but the fact that it's surrounded by nature makes it unique and fantastic. We had a polenta appetizer with bacon and melted cheese, truly excellent, and a first course each (tortellini with butter and sage, tagliatelle with meat sauce, and tagliatelle with mushrooms). We also had water and coffee. The price was very fair, and the waiter was truly helpful and polite. We had a bad weather day, so there were very few people, which allowed us to get excellent service. I would gladly return, especially to fully experience the landscape.

17/08/2025: The place is nice. Unqualified staff. Unspeakable food. Tray-packaged cured meats, shoddy and poorly preserved. Cold first courses, especially the tagliatelle. Potatoes as hard as rocks. Liquid sorbet, and the joke was that the waitress said it was lemon cream when she had actually sold it to us as sorbet. For the total of €28 per person, I'd say it was a rip-off for the quality. And we also drove 100km... very disappointed!!!!! We'll never go back!!!!

06/03/2026: Excellent traditional restaurant in Modena. The style is that of an old-fashioned trattoria (it's in one of the oldest sports centers in Modena), and while the atmosphere isn't "trendy," it has a 1960s-70s feel. That's the kind of style I prefer. The food is excellent; it even won a Borghese "4 Ristoranti" award. Sure, the TV isn't everything, but for a trattoria in a sports center, it's a great result.

11/11/2025: Visiting Il Peperoncino felt like discovering a hidden gem tucked just a few steps from the bustle around the Leaning Tower. From the moment I walked in, the staff welcomed me with genuine warmth, setting the tone for a memorable evening. The décor is relaxed, cosy and effortlessly charming — the kind of place where you instantly feel comfortable unwinding after walking the cobbled streets of Pisa. The menu honours Tuscan and Italian traditions without resorting to tourist-trap clichés. I sampled the pasta with truffle and sausage (the famed “picci alla norcina”) and was struck by how boldly earthy yet perfectly balanced it was. The pizza was fresh, the seafood spaghetti generous and unpretentious, and the house wine poured nicely. Portions were satisfying and pricing pleasantly fair for such quality. Many fellow travellers praise the welcoming service and attention to detail. If there’s a downside, it would be that, because of its proximity to the major attraction, bookings are wise—this place fills up. But that also means the high standard is not accidental. In short: if you’re in Pisa and want to dine somewhere authentic, friendly and delicious, Il Peperoncino is very hard to beat.

27/12/2025: Same old place, nothing new. Management is always the same. Prices probably had some problems. Covers at 4 euros. Tortellini at 20 euros. The prices make it feel like you're in the center of a big city, but outside at the same old truck stop. The quality is: fried gnocchi cut into squares, cured meats okay. Correctness points: Two dishes ordered and not present, and they weren't even offered to give us the menu again so we could choose. The receipt mentions one-liter bottles, but they're 0.75. For the quality and price of the product, you could have spent about half that. Unfortunately, I was at the table with other people and couldn't leave. View of the Cover charge only: 4 euros, typical of a "high-end" restaurant, but it includes bread and a cloth napkin. One plate of tortellini is 20 euros. Staff are disinterested but kind.

17/02/2026: We've been coming to this bar for a snack a few times now, and each time we've found the staff to be super cheerful, eager to please, and with a big smile on their face. Our requests have always been met, and most importantly, there are no surprises with the bill. The ginseng is excellent, and the coffee is also good quality. We've also tried the cookies they have on display; they're a real treat during a coffee break. The place is really well-kept, clean, and well-lit, and even the bathrooms are just as impressive. Kudos to the staff!
