This historic Modena restaurant, known as Grotta Azzurra at the turn of the century, also served as a pizzeria, was already making waves for its quality seafood. Returning after more than twenty years, I found a more modern venue. The pizza is no longer there, but the seafood is still excellent. Simple, flavorful recipes, excellent ingredients, and a very interesting wine list. So, what can I say? HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

The dishes are good and well-prepared, but the service is too slow. From the moment we sat down, we waited over an hour for our appetizers. The prices are a bit high.

The 4-star ambiance isn't a negative, on the contrary! Finally, an EXCELLENT seafood restaurant, with attention to top-quality ingredients in a refined, yet not overly formal or "snobbish" atmosphere. The staff made us feel at ease. The food was truly excellent, and they have a superbly curated wine list with choices for all budgets, even those seeking top-quality wines. In short, worth trying, trying again, and, if in doubt, returning again. Congratulations!

Excellent seafood restaurant, elegant decor, professional waiters, and a refined atmosphere.
But the prices for certain dishes are ridiculous.
They offer off-menu items without warning you of the price, and I found myself paying a whopping €28 for a sautéed mussels and clams (pictured)!!
Offering dishes without informing you of their cost is unprofessional.
So if you go, be warned; prepare to be ripped off.

A small, very charming seafood restaurant. Very good food, attentive and friendly service, but a bit noisy when most tables are occupied. I had the potato gnocchi with saffron and shrimp; they were delicious.

Looking in from the outside, the restaurant doesn't immediately impress with its ambiance. Inside, the decor is understated and mostly white. But what truly matters is the service and the food, and it must be said, we were served kindly by a young lady, and our fish dishes were excellently prepared. The price? Yes, it was quite steep.
