17/03/2025: very nice staff but really bad food. The udon noodles were bland and the Cantonese rice was literally boiled rice with diced ham and scrambled eggs. I don't recommend there is much better in the university area.

15/03/2025: The place is very nice. The staff is very friendly and nice, especially the gentleman who I assume is the owner: very good. The food is delicious, the ravioli are really good. I can't talk about the whole menu, I ate the duck with bamboo and mushrooms and found it truly delicious. The first one also convinced me. Excellent prices considering the city.

17/04/2025: Our lunch at Trattoria Casa Merlò was excellent. The restaurant offers the possibility of trying a 5-course tasting menu for €40. We preferred to opt for dishes chosen from the à la carte menu for a question of timing as we had booked for the 2.30pm shift and with the tasting menu we would have been a little late (both us and the restaurant staff). To start, we chose three sharing appetizers: friggione, potato and mortadella flan, and tacos with pulled pork. Afterwards we then had a first course each, trying the delicious purple truffle tortellini, the vodka wheels (very tasty and with a slightly spicy touch) and the classic tagliatelle with meat sauce. To end lunch with a touch of sweetness, we wanted to try their trifle and the tenerina cake with mascarpone cream. The service was fast and courteous, the place was nice and welcoming, in general we had a very good time.

14/04/2025: Great atmosphere and very helpful staff. Delicious traditional dishes, but also some with an interesting twist. Really comfortable spacious tables -fit lots of great food and drink and don't feel crowded. Would highly recommend.

19/04/2025: Excellent and plentiful dishes. This restaurant was recommended to us by people who live in Bologna! And who knows how to give directions better than them! They really got it right❤️ We took the tagliatelle with ragù and the gramigna with sausage as a first course and we were super satisfied! Second course Bolognese cutlet is also super! Excellent service too! We will definitely be back to try something else

18/04/2025: Historic place in Bologna recommended for those who want to taste typical local dishes at honest prices. Tortellini, tortelloni, lasagna but also various valid alternatives then Bolognese cutlet and mixed fried Bolognese which are really excellent and grilled meat which I saw was appreciated. Friendly and professional staff.

16/03/2025: As a venue you are responsible for keeping clean the surrounding areas that your customers dirty with cigarette butts, plastic glasses etc especially if what they dirty does not belong to you but to the community. If it had been a single case we would not have said anything but unfortunately this is not the case. It's not respectful towards us citizens who don't come here to have fun but live here. Thank you

15/02/2025: Io ed il mio fidanzato abbiamo scelto questa location per festeggiare il nostro anniversario. Che dire, è stata una bellissima esperienza gourmet che consigliamo vivamente. Noi abbiamo scelto il percorso degustazione “Sentiero” da otto portate, arricchito da alcuni fuori menu gentilmente offerti dalla Chef e da noi molto graditi. Tra i piatti che ho apprezzato tantissimo: - Carciofo, Gran Cru di Grotta, Alloro, Capperi d’Aglio Orsino ed Erbe Spontanee; - Cappello del Prete di Latte, Riccio di Mare, Tuorlo sulla Cenere e Tartufo; - E infine, come portata principale, Rombo come un Croque Monsieur, Zabaione al Melograno, Alloro e Lattuga alla Brace. Oltre al buon cibo ed una bellissima location, questo ristorante si distingue per un personale di sala (compreso il sommelier) professionale, gentile e molto simpatico! In particolare, alla mia richiesta di aggiungere un messaggio personalizzato nel dessert, si sono dimostrati fin da subito molto cortesi e disponibili. Insomma, un’esperienza assolutamente positiva! Spero di tornare presto
