05/07/2026: The food is average.. nothing special. The service is awful, they don’t pay attention to clients. They don’t even apologise if they’re in the wrong! Competition is high my friends, one of the things that will take me back to a place is how you treat your clients.

13/05/2026: A complete disappointment. The pizza base is removed from the plastic packaging and baked with toppings. You order drinks from one waiter and food from another – strange. Overall, a waste of time; I don't know where these positive reviews are coming from. Tasteless.

13/05/2026: We went to the trattoria based on recommendations we received for good value for money, which is true. We faced a short queue, but the friendliness of the employee who greeted us made up for it. We sat outside, and the bonus was a view of the Colosseum. We ordered the tomato suppli as an appetizer (a fried rice ball), shrimp risotto, carbonara, and lasagna, accompanied by a liter of house red wine. The best dish was the carbonara, very tasty. The lasagna was very good. The risotto left much to be desired, including the seasoning, but especially because there was an expectation of having some shrimp in the dish and only 1 came. We found this very disappointing. They don't charge a cupperto or a fixed tip, you give what you think is best. The employees are really very kind and friendly and do everything for good service. It's the restaurant's biggest highlight. Regarding the environment, I deducted one star because of the bathroom, as there was only one stall available for everyone (creating a queue) and the tap didn't work (they connected a hose to a tap below to turn it on when washing hands). I believe they could have paid more attention to the cleanliness of the bathroom and to this tap issue.

01/06/2026: The bacalao was absolutely delicious and looked fantastic. Unfortunately, it was served with potato chips, which, while good, were an odd choice. Regular roasted potatoes would have been much more suitable. But things are often different in Italy. Still, it was a strange combination. I'd gladly return for the bacalao and ask for a different side dish next time. Thankfully, it's not too touristy there; it's pleasantly quiet and cozy.

05/07/2026: Don’t be fooled by the touristy location or the typically deceptive traditional appearance: this Place is a no-nonsense roman trattoria where you can still get what you pay for, and even get a nice discount! No wonder it may be packed at times: just wait for your turn or come back after a stroll in the beatiful Rione Monti. Much more advertised places are no match for this Fork (in italian, la Foirchetta)

05/07/2026: Horrible place. The pizza was reheated and tasteless. All the reviews about the "family feel" and "compliments from the chef" were a complete lie: the food was terrible, and we didn't receive any compliments.

11/01/2026: We really liked our room here. It was in a great area to walk to all the attractions. The rooms were clean and had everything we needed. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 stars was because the beds were a little to hard for us. The restaurants and shops outside our room was pretty loud late into the evening. The walls are thin so expect to here others but not too bad. The bathroom is small but had everything you needed. I would say if you're a larger person it would be tight. We're small peeps so it wasn't an issue for us. Overall nice place to stay.

27/04/2026: We visited this restaurant as a group of nine, paying €40 each for a menu that was disappointing to say the least. The appetizers were embarrassing: one round of eggplant, zucchini, and bell pepper each. The artichoke alla giudia was incredibly tough and badly fried, almost inedible. The first course was even worse: for nine people, only two small trays were brought to share, which were decidedly inadequate. The cacio e pepe was poorly made, overcooked, and practically devoid of sauce, while the gnocchi with sausage and spare ribs didn't solve the problem. To top it all off, despite there being nine of us, only eight tiramisus arrived (which were also of poor quality and not at all good). The icing on the cake? Heartburn that lasted all night. Terrible value for money and a complete lack of customer service. We will never return. In addition, the environment was poorly maintained and gave the impression of an unclean place.

12/04/2026: We were clearly very unlucky; it seems the "owner" had been feeling unwell that afternoon, and the sole waiter was acting as cook, waiter, cashier, and cleaner. The food was improvised (except for the delicious Jewish-style artichokes, the battered vegetables were also fine; the meatballs in tomato sauce had more bread than meat; the tagliatelle with ragù was more tomato than ragù and made with industrial-strength tagliatelle; four other dishes from the rather limited menu we ordered were sold out). The wait was obviously extremely long (over an hour for the first course), the bill was decidedly high considering the service (€25 per person for half an appetizer each plus one main course, with a quarter of wine for four, it's not a trattoria-style bill, especially not with this kind of food and service), and the cleanliness was very questionable. On a positive note, the waiter was friendly.

15/07/2026: This is the first time in my life I've had such a bad and humiliating experience in a restaurant. My friend and I were seated at a table, a menu was left, and for a long time no one came to take our order. Then, one of the waiters simply told me in a harsh tone that I needed to move my bag from behind my chair and walked away without any explanation. I then called another waiter and asked where I should put my bag. Instead of helping, he acted extremely rudely and condescendingly. He snatched my bag from my hand and hung it on the table using a hook he pulled from his pocket. If the intention was to warn us about possible theft, it could have been said politely. There is no justification for treating anyone like that. What was most disturbing was that throughout this whole process, they still didn't ask about our order. We truly felt like unwanted guests. I don't know the reason for this attitude, of course, but at that moment they strongly conveyed the feeling that we were being treated differently and less valued than other customers. The quality of a restaurant is determined not only by its food but also by the respect its staff shows to people. We received neither respect nor hospitality here. After this experience, I definitely do not recommend this place. If you value yourself and your money, I suggest you choose another restaurant that will truly make you feel like a customer. This was, without a doubt, one of the worst and most humiliating restaurant experiences I've ever had. My friend and I were shown to a table, given menus, and then completely ignored. No one came back to take our order. After a long wait, one of the waiters approached us only to rudely tell me to move my bag from the back of my chair, then walked away without any explanation. I called another waiter and politely asked where I should put my bag instead. Rather than responding politely, he spoke to me in a condescending and disrespectful manner. He actually pulled the bag from my hands and hung it on a small hook that he took out of his pocket. If the intention was to protect my belongings from possible theft, a simple, polite explanation would have been more than enough. There was absolutely no reason to treat a customer this way. What made the experience even worse was that, after all of this, no one still bothered to ask for our order. We were made to feel completely unwelcome. I cannot know the reason for the way we were treated, but it genuinely felt as though we were considered less worthy of respect than other customers. A restaurant should be judged not only by its food but by the way it treats people. Unfortunately, we experienced neither respect nor hospitality here. I cannot recommend this place to anyone. If you value being treated with basic courtesy and respect, I strongly suggest choosing another restaurant.

If the intention was to warn customers about potential theft, it would have taken a few seconds to explain it politely and courteously. No circumstances justify treating a customer like this. What was truly disturbing was that despite all this, our order still hadn't been taken. For minutes, we were completely ignored. We felt not like customers, but like people who were unwanted there. Of course, I don't know the reason for this attitude; However, they clearly made us feel that we were being treated differently, less valued, and less important than other customers. Causing a customer to feel this way is, in itself, a serious service failure. The true quality of a restaurant is measured not only by its cuisine but also by the respect its staff shows to people, their communication style, and their hospitality. Unfortunately, we found none of these here. This experience turned a pleasant dinner into an unforgettable and unpleasant memory. Therefore, I absolutely do not recommend this establishment. If you value yourself, your time, and your money, I suggest you choose another restaurant that treats its customers with respect and truly knows how to host its guests.

05/05/2026: Very friendly, relaxed, and personal. That's exactly what I imagine a small, authentic family-run business to be like. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. If you're looking for a relaxed and authentic meal away from mass tourism, this is the place for you.

03/05/2026: My friend and I went and they gave us overcooked rigatoni alla matriciana, which was obviously reheated, and after 5 minutes they served fresh pasta to all the tables near us. Didn't we deserve a decent meal too? Rude!!

09/05/2026: My wife and I had a perfect evening at Grottino 1912. We started with an excellent egg with tuna sauce, followed by a creamy carbonara and textbook Roman-style involtini. The zabaglione and biscotti finale was the icing on a truly memorable dinner. Authentic Roman cuisine, just like it used to be. The atmosphere is quaint. We'll definitely be back!

07/05/2026: The waiters were completely confused and confused, the food was mediocre and the quality mediocre, the orders were wrong, and the dishes were lost... and the restaurant wasn't even full. "Sorry, we'll make it up to you," they said, but they forgot even that promise, not offering a cookie or a small discount. We enthusiastically chose the restaurant, but they're clearly better at marketing than at catering.

28/06/2026: A nice place near the Parco della Musica auditorium in Rome. In fact, we stopped there right before a concert, having arrived early. There are indoor and outdoor tables, and restrooms are available. The staff is friendly and helpful, with quick service. They offer an aperitif menu for €16, which includes a drink, as well as various appetizers, pizza, fried foods, bruschetta... I must say the portions are quite satisfying. I recommend it!

16/06/2026: The food was expensive and unpalatable, but that wasn't the biggest problem. The biggest problem was that some of the staff were incredibly irritable. I asked what a dish was like in English, but the server only said one sentence, took the menu, and left, leaving me unsure if the dish had been ordered. Later I discovered it hadn't been ordered at all. I don't know if the server was in a bad mood, or if she was just annoyed with customers who didn't speak Italian, or if it was discrimination?

14/06/2026: We had lunch at this restaurant today. The place is clean and well-kept, the staff is friendly and attentive (especially Gianmarco), and the food is delicious. I recommend trying the squid ink tortelloni with cuttlefish and shrimp in a seafood carbonara sauce—a truly exceptional dish! We'll definitely be back.

18/05/2026: Everything was fine, the service was good, the first courses were good. I wouldn't recommend it for one thing: the mixed grill, which was undercooked, except for the sausage, which was okay. The meat on the plate was invisible; only the white part of the plate was visible. That's why I also think the price of €15.00 is excessive. I hope it improves so I can recommend it to friends.

13/05/2026: A classic restaurant in the Castelli Romani area with homemade pasta and a wide selection of first and second courses according to the tradition of Roman cuisine.

06/06/2026: A decidedly awful experience. The place seemed poorly maintained: the floor was so sticky that even moving the chairs was a pain. I wasn't convinced by the service either: despite the restaurant being almost empty, we waited about 10 minutes for someone to come take our order, only to feel like we were being hastily dismissed before we'd even finished speaking. Given the place's reputation, I was definitely expecting more. I ordered a Margherita with buffalo mozzarella, and honestly, it was one of the least satisfying pizzas I've had in recent memory: lacking flavor, ingredients that didn't seem well-balanced, and a tomato that, to my taste, tasted practically raw. Personally, I don't recommend it, especially considering that in the Flaminio area there are much better places to eat with better quality and more attentive service.

25/05/2026: Authentic Roman pizza! Thin and crispy with quality toppings. The food is also excellent. Highly recommended.
