13/07/2026: To be honest, the food was quite disappointing. The dish I ordered was so simple that a 7-year-old could have easily prepared it at home. For the price we paid, I expected much better quality, preparation, and presentation. Furthermore, the service was incredibly slow. It took them ages to take our order and then to serve our food. What surprised us most was that a table that arrived after us received their food almost immediately, while we were still waiting. In terms of value for money, the experience was very disappointing, and personally, I wouldn't return.

13/07/2026: A total rip-off. We went in because it had the feel of a typical neighborhood Italian restaurant, but it wasn't. First off, the service was incredibly slow, then they charged €3 for a bottle of water and €1 per person for 250g of stale bread. The supposedly traditional dishes were rather poor quality and overpriced. They quickly sent me back to the dining room, but the pasta dish cost €13. Don't even bother going in.

06/05/2026: I organized an aperitif at the Carovana to celebrate my 60th birthday (after having already been there for my son's Communion and Confirmation) and this time too it was a success: excellent and abundant food, impeccable organization and service, beautifully decorated patio and room and the magical atmosphere created by live music, all surrounded by a garden with Roman excavations... Thank you for helping to make an already unforgettable evening perfect.

22/02/2026: Terrible service... 20 minutes for a menu, an hour for an appetizer of only cured meats, my girlfriend had to get up and ask for the dishes. An hour eating only bread, disoriented waiters, no organization... I closed a liter of house wine and I received half a liter... I came in at 1:00 and at 2:30 they brought me the appetizer... the first courses arrived, overcooked gnocchi and raw fettuccine with porcini mushrooms... I won't tell you the rest...

26/04/2026: If you like traditional Roman cuisine, but presented in a slightly more sophisticated way with smaller plates, then it might be a good option. The service could be better. They served people who arrived after me first, even though there were two of us. Two other people were "reprimanded" in a somewhat bizarre way ("Are you staying at home?") for taking a seat without asking if it was free. It should be noted that at that time, there weren't many people, only three tables. I wanted to order amatriciana with mezze maniche instead of spaghetti, but apparently I asked for too much.

16/05/2026: First of all, the pizza is good, they know how to make it... but the service... at the end of the evening first and foremost and with the service during dinner, a very pitiful veil... orders are either forgotten or come out at different times on a table of 8 people 50 minutes apart... but the best remains at the end of the evening at the kind request to be able to pay each person's own bill... the dark-haired cashier in his fifties on the evening of May 15th with the restaurant now empty, the long-winded man who for this time passed the payment each person and that it would not happen again for the next times with an annoyed air because he 'has work'... and he doesn't waste 20 minutes like this... friend, next time he won't be there... you're not even smart... you're in 2026... you know you are subject to reviews... you smiled, it took you 10 minutes to do everything and that was it... goodbye ❤️

01/05/2026: They don't allow reservations for groups of less than 8 people, which meant we had to wait half an hour for a table. It wasn't my first time there, but the food is good, the service is excellent, and the staff is friendly, helpful, and courteous. We had supplì and croquettes for appetizers, which were good. For starters, we had arrabbiata and carbonara, which were also good, although the arrabbiata had way too much oil. Overall, though, we had a good time.

27/06/2026: Since the restaurant doesn't have a written menu, I trusted the host, which turned out to be a serious mistake when I paid the final bill. The appetizers and first courses were good, but the meat was completely in need of improvement: scant and burned. As I've read in other reviews, I had the feeling I wasn't getting what I paid for.

24/05/2026: A wonderful evening with our cousins...a very characteristic location and traditional dishes...and then the visit of a Roman stornellatore enriched the evening. I recommend the place for the quality of the food and the friendliness of the owners.

01/07/2026: Delicious food and lovely ambience but the lady manager (owner)?) is one of the rudest people I have ever met in the service industry . Luckily she only manages the payments and the waiters who serve at the table are decent. I never write reviews but I think clients need to be warned. Put me off completely from coming back (and I live in the neighbourhood)

28/06/2026: Everything was excellent, especially the cacio e pepe creamed in cheese. The waiters were very friendly and attentive. I go back every time I go to Rome.

03/06/2026: The food was good, but when I checked the bill later, I found out that they sell the complimentary bread for 3 euros and charge a 15% service fee. I think it would be good to keep this in mind before you go.

28/05/2026: A classic Roman pizzeria that also makes excellent amatriciana and gricia. Prices are fair for a place near St. Peter's. The interior is, by necessity, a bit touristy, but the quality of the food is high and authentic, so much so that the place is popular with locals. The pizza is good, Roman-style, and the fried foods are also good.

12/05/2026: Disappointed, food was not good, we ordered pasta white porcini , and we received with champignon, poor taste. They charged me 5 euro more just for gluten free pasta. Don’t recommend.

02/07/2026: Such a great experience at Dino. Greeted with warmth by a vibrant waiter who could speak an impressive abundance of languages! Super attentive, lovely calm atmosphere, great cacio e pepe and salad. Would come again. Great for after a visit to Vatican City.

19/06/2026: Absolutely fantastic and well worth visiting if in Rome. I was looking forward to this restaurant the whole time I was in Rome and it did not disappoint. The food was absolutely amazing. Home cooked and made with love. Perfect. 10 out of 10. Peter our waiter was superb and although it was busy when we arrived, he was attentive and friendly throughout. He really made our dining experience perfect. Thank you very much Peter. Dino the owner was also great fun and an interesting character to meet. I highly recommend this restaurant. If I'm in Rome again I will be sure to come back.
