Upon returning to the apartment nearby, after several attempts to exchange cash for the €2 missing from the deposit, we tried to change it at Hostaria da Pietro. Since we didn't have any cash to change, a waitress gave us the money out of her own pocket. If it weren't for the fact that we have to go home tomorrow, we would definitely have stopped by to try their cuisine.
Nothing like this has ever happened before.

A wonderful hidden gem in the heart of Rome’s historic center.
This restaurant offers an authentic atmosphere and classic local dishes, exactly the kind of place you hope to find when visiting the city.
What made the experience even more special was the crowd — locals celebrating a birthday at one table, others stopping by for a casual lunch break. It felt genuine, lively, and very Roman.
Everything we tried was delicious, but a special recommendation goes to the supplì al telefono — perfectly fried, crispy on the outside and beautifully gooey on the inside. Absolutely unforgettable.
We truly enjoyed our meal and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for real Roman food and atmosphere. Will definitely return.

Excellent truffle forward restaurant. We ordered white truffle pasta and the noodles were so silky and the sauce delicious- best we ever had. The artichoke was very juicy and side of broccoli was delicious. The steak was also very well seasoned and tender. Highly recommended, would come again. You probably will need to book in advance.

This restaurant is where I dined tonight, December 18, 2025. I had tagliolini with white truffle, grilled tagliata, and baked potatoes. The tagliolini were top-notch, and the tagliata was worthy of the name. Excellent!
